saw Hydra approaching very close.
It's
so huge that it looked down on the fortress walls. The huge snake lifted its sickle
head and glared at us.

incubuses, literally stared at by the snake, forgot to move.
The

The
nine heads of the Hydra opened their huge jaws and bit into the incubus one
after another.

fortress walls.
