”Wait, Ms. Rosvita. We can talk this out!”
”Seeing you in a rush means you agree with Your Highness Delprius’s words.”
Rosvita was reaching for her monocle to take it off.
”C-Come on, Mr. Clayd! Dee! Explain it properly!”
I felt Rosvita’s piercing killing intent and asked the two to explain the situation, but it was already too late; Rosvita unleashed the beam she had aimed at Clayd towards me.
”N-No way! Gather, magic element! Become an invisible wall and protect me! ‘Physical Barrier’!”
I hurriedly recited the magic incantation and created a white, membrane-like barrier around my body.
The beam from Rosvita shattered the barrier in an instant upon impact.
”I knew it wouldn’t hold!”
The beam had lost some power after breaking the barrier, but it still left burns on my body.
”Lord Blackdagger. You have harmed the treasure of the Black Dragon clan. Don’t think you can live through this.”
”Rosvita! Stop this! Kent is my husband-nano! If you attack any further, I will consider you an enemy and fight you!”
Dee stood in front of me, shielding me as she faced Rosvita.
Milly and the others gathered around me to protect me as well.
Everyone had their hands on their weapons, and the atmosphere was tense.
At this rate, blood would be shed on both sides…
”Your Highness Delprius… how pitiful… at the age of 16, you are still like a child… you are being deceived by that man. Come back with me to the king.”
”I refuse! I will bear children by Kent’s side!”
”…Then, to leave no regrets, I shall kill that man. It may cause trouble later, but compared to the safety of Your Highness Delprius, the treasure of the Black Dragon Dukedom, it is a trivial matter.”
Rosvita was once again uttering unfamiliar words.
It was inferred that she was giving instructions to the Dragonewt species in Dragon Language.
They were clearly on high alert.
”M-Ms. Rosvita!”
”No negotiations. We will reclaim Her Highness Delprius at any cost. What about Clayd?”
Rosvita sent Clayd a look that seemed to say to clarify his stance.
If Clayd sided with the Black Dragon clan here, the situation would become even more desperate.
I stared at Clayd with a prayer in my heart.
”Of course. I’ll help kill Kent, who ruined my daughter! But don’t kill my daughters. That would leave a bad taste. We kill only Kent Blackdagger.”

Clayd had now turned against me.
This left only the option of using Rosvita to control Handsome Guy Carrier.
I quietly attempted to remove the Illusion Glasses.
Then, Clayd’s Bind magic restrained my body.
”Oops, Kent. I won’t let you take off those glasses. You seemed to be hiding something from me. I knew you had a dubious Skill. Besides, it works exclusively on women, right? Otherwise, you wouldn’t buy Illusion Glasses that make women look like men.”
Clayd had caught onto my secret.
He might not know the details of my ability, but he seemed to have deduced that I possessed a powerful Skill against women.
He had even figured out that I usually suppressed the Skill’s activation with the glasses.

”Kent! I’ll break the Bind now!”
”Oops, I can’t allow that. Aside from Your Highness Delprius, I’ll allow a bit more roughness.”
Rosvita moved to suppress the main force, Milly.
The Dragonewts soared into the sky and then swooped down one after another to attack the members of ‘Crimson Bride’ and ‘Black Bullet.’
The battle has finally begun…

Several members were injured by the Dragonewt’s sudden descending breath.
Not backing down, Manon and the team started to engage in close combat with the Dragonewt shot down by the Sniper.
”Sorry, Black Dragons, but if you’re aiming for Mr. Kent’s life, I won’t hold back!”
Feria attacked the Dragonewt, but her blows were deflected by its tough scales.
”It’s so tough!”
”Feria! Look up!”
”Kyaaa!”
Another Dragonewt unleashed its breath from above, catching Feria, who had just been knocked back.
Surprised, Feria took the direct hit, crumpling her Maid suit.
It seemed she sustained significant damage and collapsed to the ground.
”Feria──! Stop! Please stop!”
”What are you doing to her! Do you have any idea how much love I poured into creating Feria’s breasts?!”
Enraged by Feria’s downfall, Lina began chanting the fire-element Elite-level magic, Megid Explosion.
However, due to insufficient magical power, the magic stones concealed in her robe shattered one after another.
”Gathered magic elements! Become flames that will burn everything, and erase my enemies! ‘Megid Explosion’!!”
A white sphere of light was launched towards the swirling Dragonewts in the sky.
Rapidly expanding, the sphere enveloped the Dragonewts, bursting with a light so bright it was dazzling even in daytime.
In that moment, the space where the Dragonewts had been transformed into a realm of raging flames and explosive winds.
”…ha…ha…”
Lina stood, breathing heavily.
It seemed she was on the verge of fainting after pouring all her magical power into the spell.
”Impressive, daughter of the Rakshasa Clan. I didn’t expect to see a recent spellcaster capable of unleashing Megid Explosion.”
Rosvita kept Milly in check, not changing her expression even when she saw Lina’s magic.
Now I understood the reason for her composure.
Because the Dragonewts remained unfazed, flying calmly even after receiving Lina’s full-powered magic.
”Fire attribute magic is useless against us, the Black Dragon clan, who grow by sinking into the lava that erupts from the earth!”
”…That’s a lie… I know about magic resistance, but I never heard you were strong against fire! You damn cheater race!”
”Ms. Lina! They’re coming!”
Lina was helplessly knocked away by the Dragonewt’s attack as it dove down again, rolling onto the ground.
”Lina! Enough already, just stop! If you’re going to kill someone, kill me instead!”
”Understood. I’ll kill you. This time I’m serious. I’ll erase you without leaving a single speck behind.”
Clayd rushed to my side and activated his magic.
That magic was the Megid Explosion, the apocalyptic light that Lina had unleashed earlier.
Moreover, he was definitely preparing to bury me for good, activating multiple magic spheres in both hands.
He was even chanting properly, not using No Chant, to ensure the power was secured.
”Gathered magic elements! Become flames that burn everything to ashes and erase my enemies! ‘Megid Explosion’!!”
”Kent! Run!”
Dee jumped between Clayd and me.
However, it was already too late.
The Megid Explosion had been activated.
As I was enveloped by the rapidly expanding magic sphere, everything around me turned white, and I could no longer sense Dee or Clayd, who should have been nearby.
Is this where it ends… Milly, I’m sorry everyone… If only I were stronger, this situation wouldn’t have happened… Where did I go wrong…
My consciousness suddenly cut off.
When I came to, I found myself floating in a space with nothing around.
In this space without a light source, “floating” might not be the appropriate expression.
Did I really die…
As I recalled the situation before losing consciousness, I inevitably arrived at the thought that I had died and was in this space.
It was too barren for an afterlife, lacking anything at all.
For a moment, I looked around nervously and saw darkness gathering ahead.
The blackness in that spot deepened, and a human shape emerged from the empty space.
”W-who is that?!”
Feeling fear toward the black figure, I called out to it.
”How rude to ask who I am. I am you, Kent. Or rather, I am the true owner of Kent, possessing Kento Horikawa.”
