(Hiroya’s POV)
After finishing discussions with several merchants, I sit next to Kazumi, who is taking a break before lunch.
”Looks like it’s busy in the afternoon too?”
”Hmm… probably…”
Kazumi pouts and answers while leaning on her hand.
”I see. Guess it means we can’t wander around Grand Market together.”
”Both Rena and I… Ms. Sasha too, we’re all busy with meetings until evening…”
With her elbows on the table, Kazumi holds a kuksa-style cup filled with tea in both hands and lets out a big sigh.
”Aluda, Eluda, and Meluda said they took the afternoon off, so take those girls with you. Rena and I──because we have plans tonight.”
”Plans at night?”
”It’s the last day of Grand Market, so there’s supposed to be a big sale and celebration tonight.”
Kazumi smiles as she takes a sip of tea.
”That sounds fun!”
”Right? Let’s enjoy it together with Rena!”
After promising Kazumi, I headed to the kitchen to help with lunch preparations.

”Ah, um… Mr. Hiroya”
When I enter the kitchen to help serve the finished dishes, Ms. Hanna nervously speaks up.
”I was wondering if you could accompany me for some shopping this afternoon…”
It seems Ms. Carla is arranging the food supplies for the Clan house.
They apparently bought a large quantity of rice from a merchant in the dwarf nation of Bash.
”Many people here really love rice, so I thought I’d stock up.”
Yeah.
Rice is good.
Plus, Ms. Hanna’s cooking somehow pairs perfectly with rice.
”Okay, it’ll be after we check out Grand Market with Aluda and the others… let’s go by carriage?”
”Yes!”
Also, for some reason, rice goes well with the dishes Ms. Hanna makes.
”Sir Hiroya, please take care of this.”
Suu skillfully loaded the dishes onto the serving cart.
”Push it slowly so you don’t spill the food!”
”Don’t rush, but we need to hurry!”
Noo and Uu urged me, and I pushed the cart to the dining hall.

It seemed all the clan members except Gargantua, Hernando, and Esperanza were having lunch together.
Mr. Mitsuyoshi joined us, but he was so surprised by Ms. Hanna’s cooking that he was eating quite vigorously.
”I didn’t know our dried fish could be made into such delicious dishes… no, this is really tasty.”
The ingredients had their flavors concentrated by drying, and Ms. Hanna’s cooking made the flesh fluffy, making it hard to believe it was just dried fish.

”I’m going on a date with Hiro♡”
”Eluda want to eat that!”
”But we just had lunch… Also, Meluda wants to hold Hiro’s hand too!”
Aluda was holding hands with me, and Eluda-Meluda, who lost at rock-paper-scissors next to Eluda, was puffing her cheeks.
”There are various shops around…”
”Yeah. It feels like something is missing.”
Aluda and Eluda murmured to each other while looking around the stalls selling various products.
”That’s true~”
”What’s missing?”
I asked Meluda, who was chiming in with the two.
”Hmm…”
Meluda looked around and thought for a moment.
”I guess there aren’t any entertainment facilities?”
”Oh, that’s it!”
”But it’s a commercial event, after all. ‘Grand Market’.”
Eluda agreed with Meluda, and Aluda logically pointed out the original purpose of the Grand Market.
”Well, it’s really because there’s no ‘theater’-like place in Raetia.”
Meluda concluded.
