Chapter 113
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Ms. Kokol adjusted her clothes, letting out a sigh.
”Ugh… I said twice…”
She had just finished *paying* for her recent treatment, allowing me to enjoy her body.
Although she grumbled about the number of times exceeding the initial plan—totaling about five—she didn’t seem particularly upset.
”Well, you’re the one who kept going after I tried to stop at two.”
”I know, I know! I couldn’t help it, it felt too good.”
*Squeeze.*
Ms. Kokol hugged herself, trembling slightly as if reliving the sensation.
”Ah… cuu♡”
*Shiver.*
Just as Mr. Lyle had mentioned when he rescued her from the “Gem Snake” gang, she had been a virgin. I made sure to be careful with her, going slow to make it easier.
Still, I didn’t want to drag things out unnecessarily, so I used a healing potion to remove the pain, leaving only pleasure.
Maybe I had been too focused on finishing quickly, or maybe she was just naturally sensitive.
Either way, Ms. Kokol forgot all about the “payment” as she lost herself in the moment.
”Are you okay?”
”Mmm♡ Yes, I’m… Mmm♡”
*Thud.*
She attempted to reassure me but collapsed, her knees buckling beneath her.
I caught her just in time, feeling her tremble in my arms.
*Squeeze.*
”Hic♡♡♡”
*Shiver.*
*Thump, thump, thump.*
Her movements caused her hips to bump against mine, making a soft, rhythmic sound.
Once it stopped, she slumped against me, her face blissful, a trickle of drool at the corner of her lips.
”Haa♡♡♡ So… You’ve taken a woman from Mr. Mose, haven’t I…?”
”Hmm…”
I had no intention of taking advantage of women, but I couldn’t control how others perceived things.
Still, if I was going to use “Mose” as my reason for leaving town, I had to be careful how I was viewed. If I was seen too negatively, it could cause unnecessary trouble. But in the current situation, I might be able to use it to my advantage.
”Just so you know, it seems Mr. Mose never really expected to be accepted by them.”
”Nn…♡ R-really?”
Ms. Kokol trembled slightly but was still able to process my words.
I decided to steer the conversation toward a plausible reason.
”Yeah. I figured the women and he were too mismatched in age.”
”…Huh?”
Still flushed, Ms. Kokol tilted her head slightly.
”Is something wrong?”
After a pause, she hesitated before speaking again.
”I can somewhat tell by voice alone, but I’ve heard he wasn’t actually that old?”
”Huh? Really?”
”Yeah. When Silver Orchid and Gem Snake clashed, they identified him as a man named Sir Fraud. An acquaintance of mine was at the Horned Ox Inn when his appearance was revealed.”
…Not good.
”Fraud” was my past self from my life as a Japanese person. I tended to look younger than my actual age due to racial differences.
If people realized I wasn’t that much older than Iris and the others, my excuse wouldn’t hold up.
However, Ms. Kokol hadn’t seen him in person. Her source was simply someone else’s assumption.
Could I cast doubt on that information?
”Um, isn’t that just one person’s opinion? How credible is that?”
”He was helped by someone rough from Gem Snake, so there might be bias… but I’ve heard from other staff members that he didn’t seem that old.”
Damn, no good.
Then, I needed to shift the topic entirely.
”I see. But in the end, I think it’s more that we just didn’t click. I had already helped Iris and her friends before I ever met Mr. Mose.”
I had met Iris as “Koji” before becoming involved as “Mose.” If I framed it that way, it wouldn’t look like I had stolen them from him. It would simply mean I had formed a bond with them earlier.
That way, neither I nor Iris would seem at fault.
Ms. Kokol processed my words before nodding slightly.
”I see… I’m sorry. That was rude of me.”
”No, if it seemed like I stepped in right after Mr. Mose left, I can understand the misunderstanding.”
”…”
After my response, Ms. Kokol stared at me intently.
The distance between us was close, just as it had been when I caught her earlier. As the heat returned to her gaze, she opened her mouth to speak.
”By the way… I heard from the church that, considering the condition of the party member Ms. Seria healed recently, the cost for healing magic should be no less than a million Oar.”
”Wait, that much?”
I blinked.
”Yes. They couldn’t say for sure without seeing the case firsthand, but to fully heal someone on the brink of death alone is extremely difficult, even for a skilled cleric.”
She continued, her tone measured. “Each person’s magical signature is as unique as a fingerprint. It affects healing magic, and if multiple healers are involved or one takes over another’s spell, the effectiveness drops.”
Clerics capable of fully restoring serious injuries by themselves using nano magic were highly valued, their rarity driving up the cost significantly.
”So… what are you getting at?”
I asked, narrowing my eyes.
Ms. Kokol’s hand slipped around my waist.
*Swoosh… Grab.*
”Well… considering the true cost, shouldn’t we pay the full amount?”
She smiled sweetly.
”…”
”…”
*Swoosh…*
As I stared at her in silence, she subtly averted her gaze.
…No, she just wants it again.
Could it be that saying “Mose” wasn’t the reason for what happened with Iris? That it had eased her grudge against my benefactor, Mose?
Well, it’s good that I’m no longer being resented, but demanding a million Oar as *payment* is ridiculous.
”No. We agreed the treatment cost was 60,000 Oar, and I already paid that.”
It wasn’t that I disliked the idea of being with Ms. Kokol, but this was way off from what we had originally discussed. I attempted to refuse.
But she wasn’t giving up so easily.
”That’s true, but… ah! Still, I only had five times, and I think I’ve improved more than that, so I don’t think it counts as payment!”
”Huh?”
A secret about Magic Armor—if I use it while protecting, I have to pull out outside, and because of that, she knows my count.
Considering that… yeah, she has a higher count than I do.
This might just be my personality or preference, but I enjoy seeing women have fun.
So that’s why she’s bringing this up.
Still, better than demanding a million Oar outright.
”…”
”…W-well, what do you think?”
*Squee, squee.*
Ms. Kokol pressed herself against me, moving slightly as if to appeal to me despite her inexperience.
An offer without a clear reason requires caution.
But in this case, the reason is obvious. If I go along with it, things should end there.
Her appearance is a limiting factor, but being wanted doesn’t feel bad… well, whatever.
So, I accepted her proposal.
Hearing my response, Ms. Kokol beamed and kissed me one last time before heading back to Mr. Lyle and the others.
From the entrance, I could see they had positioned themselves about 100 meters away, ensuring they wouldn’t overhear anything.
They’d notice if something happened, but it would be unfortunate if they got hurt.
I considered going with her, but facing Mr. Lyle, Ms. Kokol’s brother, right after what just happened? Yeah… that would be awkward.
So, I slung my bag full of loot over my shoulder and turned invisible, deciding to follow her while providing protection.
”Um… s-sorry to keep you waiting.”
”O-oh. Um… were you okay?”
Mr. Lyle’s voice was slightly uneasy.
The cause of the issue, Mr. Brandon, looked even more uncomfortable.
”Sorry about that. It’s my fault…” he muttered.
Ms. Kokol frowned slightly at his apology.
”Ah, no. Well… from what I hear, it seems Mr. Koji got to know the women who were with Mr. Mose earlier and became closer to them. So, Mr. Mose probably knew he’d be rejected. The idea that he *stole* the women is a misunderstanding.”
”Huh? Is that so…” Mr. Lyle exhaled.
Everyone, including him, seemed convinced by her explanation, but as an older brother, he still checked on her well-being.
”So, well… I get that he’s not a bad guy, but what about you?”
Ms. Kokol blushed at the question.
”Um, well… how should I put it… he was kind, and well… it was… good, I guess…”
”O-oh, I see… that’s good, yeah.”
Mr. Lyle and the others caught on to her embarrassment. They seemed to understand she had enjoyed herself, so they didn’t pry further.
Satisfied, they began heading back to town while keeping an eye on her.
Watching them leave, I felt a wave of relief.
Now, it was time for me to head deeper inside.
