”Once a year, they hold a festival for me, right? I was looking forward to it.”
Once Rena’s treatment was more or less finished, the water dragon that had been lying low stood up.
With its 4 legs planted firmly, and its wings spread out, its appearance was both beautiful and majestic.
”Looking forward to… can you see it from here? Um…”
Looking up at the water dragon, it lowered its head right in front of my eyes.
”Wash. Wash Dragon… I’m Shinji and Megumi’s son.”
After saying that, the water dragon (Wash) was suddenly enveloped in a dazzling light.
As the light faded, there stood a man in a white, suave formal attire resembling a suit.
Tall and elegant, with a monocle perched on his face, he had the dignified posture of an elderly nobleman.
You could tell he was the water dragon (Wash) by the two horns peeking out from his neatly trimmed white hair.
”I enjoy the Raetia festival in this form. Well, I can’t hide these horns… but it’s a place where even demons and Oni-kin wouldn’t dare cause a ruckus.”
The water dragon (Wash) greeted us gracefully with a chuckle.
”Heh… quite the sophisticated gentleman.”
”Hmph… doesn’t look half bad.”
Hearing such mutterings, I give Liz and Simona a glare.
Both of them quickly averted their eyes, but I’ll make sure to give them a tough time when we get back.
After all, this ‘elderly suaveness’ is something not even Hiroya could pull off.
”Heh… to be able to take human form, as expected of a dragon that has lived since my era, an ancient dragon♡”
”To receive praise from the Goddess of Darkness Lady Lilith… I am truly honored and delighted.”
The water dragon (Wash) made a polite bow to Lilith, and with a snap of his fingers… a luxurious reception setup appeared by the underground lake.
”I prepared it for the first visitors. ──I didn’t expect you’d actually show up.”
The water dragon (Wash), with a dashing smile, invited us to make ourselves comfortable there.

”I see… that’s what those Azragees are up to.”
Liz explained why they’d come this far.
Lilith filled in the gaps, so they could give a pretty detailed account, even covering stuff from the ancient civilization era.
”We just want to get Demon King──Mr. Koichi──out of Azradelius’s clutches.”
”The Demon King is totally over the fighting.”
Kazumi and Rena leaned in, pleading with the Water Dragon (Wash).
”I don’t know what his game is, but Azradelius is trying to free Lilith. So, we’re heading to Welnia Labyrinth next.”
”Not just me… He’s after Frejya, too, isn’t he?”
Lilith muttered, looking down at my waist as I spoke to the Water Dragon (Wash).
”Yeah… He had Gargantua after Kamikirimaru.”
”Hmm… So, he’s trying to free the Goddess of Light and the Goddess of Darkness. The two gods he locked up with his own schemes…”
The Water Dragon (Wash) folded its arms, considering Asuka’s words.
”Lady Frejya is definitely down in this layer. She’s asleep, but… Lady Lilith is here, too, so waking them up would be easy.”
”As a guardian──or, like, what’s the final boss of this Great Labyrinth?”
”There isn’t one.”
Everyone froze, surprised by the Water Dragon (Wash)’s casual answer to Liz’s question.
”Because I was it. Well, they got me to surrender pretty easily, but… Plus…”
The Water Dragon (Wash) took a cup from Noo, who had poured the tea, bowed, and got a serious look on its face.
”If any of those guys try to hurt Lady Frejya, I’ll take them out with everything I’ve got… But you lot aren’t like that.”
The Water Dragon (Wash) took a sip of tea, nodded with satisfaction.
”Also… Water Dragon (Wash), have you ever heard of a weapon called the ‘Star of Thunder’?”
”Unfortunately, I haven’t heard of it…”
Apologizingly, I respond to Dorothy’s question.
We conveyed what we know about the ‘Star of Thunder’ and the crisis currently unfolding in the Oni-kin village.
”…I see. Azradelius certainly does use some dirty tricks.”
The water dragon, Wash, sets down his cup with satisfaction and continues.
”Once Lady Frejya is freed and I’m released from this Great Labyrinth’s binds… I’ll find a way to tackle that ‘Star of Thunder.’”
”Is… is that really possible!?”
Wash winks with a smile at Martina’s astonished voice.
”All I have to do is destroy the one hovering above the Oni-kin village, right? I can easily manage that.”

Having gained some clarity on saving the Oni-kin village ‘Balthoga’, we relax and drink the tea Noo brewed.
”Hey there, Amazoness.”
”W-What is it?”
Suddenly addressed by Wash, Simona flinches slightly.
”You seem to be carrying quite a hefty sword… Do you need this?”
Saying that, he places a massive sword on the table, seemingly pulled from nowhere.
”Before being engulfed by this Great Labyrinth, a Titan fighter challenged me. This is the sword I took from him…”
A greatsword with a blade gleaming white in the center.
The white area is surrounded by sharp edges shimmering silver.
”Let me take a look.”
After Aluda gives her approval, she picks up the greatsword.
”…This part looks like it’s crafted from some kind of bone.”
Meluda, peering from the side, runs her fingers along the glowing white section.
”That’s dragon bone. The Titan fighter claimed he had defeated a dragon before challenging me.”
Wash strokes his chin, gazing into the air as if reminiscing about the past.
”The blade is made of adamantite steel. ──This is quite a remarkable piece.”
”The magic bound to it is… ‘Slash’.”
Rena leans in from beside Aluda, seriously examining the greatsword.
”Yeah. That’s quite the fine weapon.”
Saying that, I handed the greatsword to Simona.
”Indeed… it’s about the same size as my current weapon, and I’m grateful, but are you sure it’s okay?”
”Glad you like it. If I keep it, it would just be a waste, but if a stunning Fighter like you uses it, then this ‘Dragon’s Jaw’ would meet its destiny.”
”Thank you so much! I’ll take great care of it!”
With her new Greatsword in hand, Simona raised the magical blade known as ‘Dragon’s Jaw’ with a look of joy.
”It’s great to have your strength boost as we take on the Welnia Labyrinth.”
Liz smiled as she rested her chin on the table, watching the happy Simona.

”Well then, we’re off to see Frejya.”
”Please free Lady Frejya and come back here.”
For now, waving at the water dragon (Washu) who had returned to its dragon form, we set off to the corridor that leads to the 21st floor where Frejya awaited.
