*Gwain’s Perspective
”Sir Gwain! It seems Gertroud has been blown away by the magic Kent unleashed!”
Lyla, who reported the battle status, was in a hurry.
Because if our army doesn’t take Gertroud’s head in this rematch, there’s a chance we won’t be able to return triumphantly to the Capital City.
”Calm down. Does he die that easily? We got info from an Officer of the Demon God Emperor’s country we picked up along the way, that Gertroud wears armor that nullifies magic.”
”Haa, I forgot about that.”
The twin sisters stood beside me, keeping an eye on our surroundings.
They’re not Combat Commanders, but guards.
”Still, how about a physical attack? Send the signal to Lynthia! And also give Austronesia instructions to cause confusion.”
Since Mild was passive about this battle, I put her in charge of the rear guard, with Lynthia’s infantry and Austronesia’s cavalry as the main vanguard.
As the signal was given, a loud explosion and smoke rose from the front.
This smoke was from the explosion of human bombs──soldiers of the Demon God Emperor’s army we captured at the northern fortress, whom the Magic Corps had given self-destruct magic.
The tactic was to chase them, throw them into the crowd of Living Dead, and then remotely detonate them, turning the surroundings into a sea of fire with the explosion energy.
This tactic was surprisingly effective against the Living Dead, contributing to an increase in our advance speed.
The one who carried out this inhumane tactic without hesitation was the commander of the infantry, Lynthia.
The humiliation of being captured had increased her sense of guilt, and she was ruthlessly executing the strategy to regain my trust.
Another loud explosion sounded from the front.
Looking in that direction, there stood a man with black long hair, black eyes, and dark skin, who appeared to be from the True Demon Clan.
”Message from the vanguard’s Lynthia! The man up ahead is unfazed by human bombs! They say he’s about to send in a hundred more, so we should hold off on the advance for now.”
Georgia relayed the report from the vanguard.
”Hmph, is it not working? Could it be that the man is Gertroud? That guy was part of the Asura Clan, wasn’t he?”
”After the black mist from Kent’s magic cleared, the man appeared at the spot where Gertroud was supposed to be.”
”But that figure looks exactly like the Demon Lord Demon Lord Orphée Bleu… It might not be the real deal, but… I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”
Ever since I locked eyes on that man, my intuition, which has always saved me from danger, has been signaling that he’s a risky character.
Thanks to that, the inside of my usually hot armor was drenched in a cold sweat.
But I’ve got no choice but to stand my ground; there’s no turning back for me.
I send a signal to Lynthia for additional attack.
A new batch of human bombs, numbering in the hundreds, rushed towards the man, but he just sneered as the suicide magic failed to activate.
Misfire… How stupid… How lame!
”Georgia! Send an emergency retreat signal to Lynthia and Austronesia at once! Hurry!”
I was struck by a sudden chill.
My whole body was trembling.
The fact that the human bombs heading towards that man ended up being duds means there was a possibility that the True Demon Clan had taken over the magic.
The armies of Lynthia and Austronesia, surrounding the man, began to retreat upon seeing the signal.
However, it seems it was too late, as 2 hijacked human bombs leaped into their ranks and exploded.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The successive explosions were followed by a scene of carnage, with bodies piled everywhere.
The vanguard’s army was thrown into chaos by the explosions of the hijacked human bombs.
Lynthia, who was commanding the infantry, seemed to have been injured and was retreating to the rear.
”Damn it! I’m too late! Fine! I’ll go first! Lynthia and Austronesia, fall back for now!”
I, the vanguard of chaos, am rallying the middle army and heading to the front lines to straighten things out.
Upon reaching the front line, the man was engaged in battle with Kent’s army, who had come charging in from the south.
Kent’s army was attacking the man with guns and magic, but they couldn’t land a killing blow.
”Sir Gwain… I’m so sorry, but I’ve lost some important soldiers.”
Injured Lynthia ran up to me and apologized.
”If you have time to apologize, gather your troops and reorganize them at the rear! I don’t know how much longer I can hold out. Try to hold on until you’ve reorganized and return.”
”Right, I’ll begin the reorganization immediately.”
Lynthia, while pressing her wound, rallied her troops and retreated to the rear.
”Well, how do I take down that guy…”
I felt stuck in my strategy for dealing with the man.

*Clayd’s Perspective
Leaving the main force, which was running late for the agreed-upon time with Kent, I’m taking solo action.
And, from the battlefield I observed ahead, I quickly flew toward a place where dust was rising.
When I think that Gertroud, the guy who blew off my hand, is there, the bitterness of that defeat comes rushing back.
I’ve been honing my magic to become the strongest, but he effortlessly shattered my magic and inflicted a crushing defeat.
My pride was shattered, but I knew there were always stronger individuals out there, and the desire to hone my magic once again began to blossom.
That’s why I wanted to steal some of his magic techniques in this rematch and make them my own.
When I arrived at the battlefield, more than half of the Living Dead had already been slain.
Both Gwain’s army and Kent’s army were surrounding a single man, clearing out the surrounding Living Dead.
Looking at the man, I saw a man who was exactly like the first Demon Lord, Orphée Bleu.
”Demon Lord Orphée Bleu… so it is… Where is Gertroud?”
As the man noticed me, he approached.
His speed was incredibly fast, leaving afterimages in his wake.
”You’re that kid from before… Good to see your arm grew back. Did you put in some good study? If not, you’re going to die a second time.”
This tone is the same as Gertroud’s after I was defeated… Does this mean I should think that Gertroud is someone else entirely?
I unleash a series of Ice Shots for distraction.
Countless shards of ice scatter, and the man resembling Orphée Bleu who jumped in gets trapped in ice.
But soon, he releases steam and melts away.
”That didn’t hold me back at all…”
”Hey, hey, magic doesn’t work on me. Learn from your mistakes. Is your brain turned to mush?”
The man disappeared from my view, suddenly reappearing and delivering a straight punch to my solar plexus.
I didn’t even have time to dodge from the speed of his strike.
”Guh!”
Stomach acid splattered from my mouth onto the ground.
”How disgusting. It seems you’re just a flawed creation after all… I thought you could do better… [Red] would cry.”
”Shut up… I totally let you hit me on purpose.”
I quickly drew my dagger and sliced through the Anti-Magic Armor’s binding straps.
According to the intel I got from the enemy officer, this armor provides absolute defense against magic, but I had heard that its durability was only comparable to soft leather, so I cut the straps holding it and detached it with it.
The armor, having lost its support, rolled and fell to the ground.
With this, magic should work on him!
I believed that since the man in front of me was equipped with cheat-level armor, having lost to him badly before, if the effect of the Anti-Magic Armor faded, I could find a chance to win.
”Take this!”
I hurled several fire bombs into the man’s stomach now that he’d lost his Anti-Magic Armor, rolling out from between his legs.
After a moment of silence, a series of explosive sounds erupted from where the man stood.
”Sorry about this. I can’t afford to lose to the same opponent twice… Guhhh.”
Just as I turned to look back from where I’d rolled out, my body was blasted away as if pushed by an invisible wall.
The impact sent me rolling across the ground, and I could hear the sound of cracks like my body was breaking.

*Kent’s Perspective*
”Oh, Kent… Father was blown away… Is that really Demon Lord Orphée Bleu…”
Dee, who was nearby, was watching the battle between Gertroud, who transformed into Orphée Bleu, and Clayd, using her exceptional eyesight.
Earlier, I had informed Milly and the concubines that Orphée Bleu himself was targeting my body after seeing Gertroud transform from his original form into Orphée Bleu when he took the Divine Thunderbolt.
Everyone was listening to my words with a grain of salt, but seeing the strongest Warrior in the Kingdom, Clayd, being easily manipulated made them finally start to believe me, except for one person.
That one person was Carlamia, the founder of the Church of Kent.
Because she believes I am the reincarnation of Orphée Bleu, she only acknowledged the man before her as a mere True Demon Clan who resembled Orphée Bleu.
”My lord! Don’t you dare say that thing is the Demon Lord Orphée Bleu… The reincarnation of Demon Lord Orphée Bleu is undoubtedly my lord! I will expose his true nature!”
With that, Carly rushed towards Orphée Bleu.
”Carly! It’s dangerous to go alone!”
Lina also followed Carly out without hesitation.
”Carly! Lina! Get back! Magic won’t work on him!”
I sprinted to stop the two, but it was already too late; they flew off toward Orphée Bleu with their Flying Wings.
”Looks like I have no choice. I’d feel terrible if Carly got killed. Sorry, everyone, but I’m going to retrieve the two of them.”
Milly gave instructions to the members of Crimson Bride to recover Carly and Lina.
”Wait! Milly, I’m going too!”
”Kent, you can’t come! You need to stay here and wait for us to return! We will definitely bring them back! Even the original Demon Lord is nothing to fear when it comes to us!”
”But…”
I had a really bad feeling about getting those girls close to Orphée Bleu.
However, I couldn’t hold them back.

*Carlamia’s Perspective
I descend before the man whom my lord, Sir Kent, has told me is the Demon Lord Orphée Bleu.
Lina, who had followed from behind, was already in battle stance.
I had trained her to be ready at all times, even as a Magician, since you never know when an enemy might come close and you need to be able to activate magic.
A man, resembling the Demon Lord Orphée Bleu, was staring us down.
