Chapter 105-3 Reached the 4th Floor

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Sogahara and other senpais headed back to the Student Council headquarters, leaving Kijima-senpai and Kanami-san behind.

With the results from their adventures, we managed to snag a few treasure chests from the third and 4th floors, which turned out to be a decent haul.

Although Sogahara-senpai’s group only sold off a Katana +1, meaning his cash income wasn’t substantial, he walked away with a valuable magic weapon, so it was a solid achievement.

Once the distribution was done, Kijima-senpai and Kanami-san also made their way back to the Student Council headquarters.

”Looks like it’s still in the middle of the second period. If I walk into the classroom during class, I’ll stand out, so I’ll just hang around somewhere until the break.”

”Then how about we grab some tea at that café over there?”

 ”Yeah, that sounds good.”

 ”Sounds awesome!”

 ”I’m good with that too!”

Thanks to Himeno’s proposal, we decided to kill some time at the café attached to the teleportation facility.

As we stepped into the spacious lobby to head towards the café, I spotted a tall girl just exiting, making her way towards the facility’s exit.

”Hey, everyone, hold on a sec!”

I called out to the group before quickening my pace to approach the girl.

 ”Shitone-senpai!”

When I called out to her, Shitone-senpai halted and slowly turned around.

 ”Oh, Tsuchimiya-kun?”

Shitone-senpai’s eyes widened in surprise as she looked at me.

She was dressed in a simple outfit with large round glasses, her long hair tied into 2 braids, but her stunning features and tall, well-defined figure made her stand out wildly.

Looking closer, I noticed her skirt was short, revealing her plump, white thighs, exuding an almost intoxicating charm.

”It’s rare for you to be the one calling out to me. What’s on your mind?”

Shitone-senpai smiled, straightening her back and puffing out her ample chest as if to show off.

”I think this might be something you lost…”

I said, reaching into my pocket, and Tina brought forth the item from ‘Storage’ into my hand.

In front of Shitone-senpai, I opened my hand to reveal a red rubber band with a black cat character printed on it, resting in my palm.

 ”Ah! That…!”

Shitone-senpai reached out and took the rubber band from my hand.

”I found this after you left the other day, senpai. Is it something important?”

It was a cheap trinket, the kind you’d buy for a couple of hundred yen, but the black cat printed on the plastic strip was a bit worn and faded.

 ”Not really… it’s not important.”

Shitone-senpai’s expression hardened, and she pressed her hand, clutching the rubber band, against her chest.

 Did I ask too much?

”I don’t want to throw it away, so you might as well keep it. I wasn’t looking for it, but since it’s come back, there’s no helping it.”

With that, Shitone-senpai tucked the rubber band into her pocket.

”Besides… maybe I should give you a reward?”

Shitone-senpai gave an enigmatic smile and took a step closer to me.

”Ah… sorry, no touching, just a verbal ‘Thank you’ please.”

I took a half-step back and raised my hands lightly, showing her.

”Hehe, just kidding. If I kissed you now, the scary girl watching us from behind might kill me.”

I could feel the piercing gaze and intense pressure on my back too.

If I got caught, I’d probably get killed along with her.

”Anyway, it’s fine. You went out of your way to bring it to me. I’ll say thanks, so… thank you.”

Shitone-senpai gave a faint smile, nodded, and then turned on her heel, exiting the teleportation facility.

Shitone Shizuka left the teleportation facility and made her way to the boys’ dormitory B, which doubled as the Demiurge’s hideout.

She slipped out the school gate and into the entrance of the dormitory on the main street.

Kibakura hadn’t returned to the dorm since the day before yesterday, and the busy movements of the club officers were concerning.

But when she asked, the officers wouldn’t give Shizuka a straight answer.

If Shizuka really searched for the truth, she was sure to uncover it, but with the apparent control of information, it wasn’t something she could do right away.

As she walked down the corridor, mulling over how to quickly resolve her troubles, she spotted Iwakura Eiji practicing with a massive battle axe in the courtyard.

Last week, the Iwakura crew had clashed spectacularly with Tsuchimiya, who barged in to rescue a girl they knew, resulting in the furious dorm manager confiscating their weapons.

Just a week had passed since then, and it looked like they’d finally gotten their gifts back from the dorm manager.

Shizuka grinned mischievously, opening the courtyard door and stealthily approaching Iwakura from his blind spot.

The leaders of Demiurge were all third-year students from the former Kibakura group, while second-year Iwakura wasn’t part of the executive board.

However, Iwakura often accompanied them on dives at Kibakura’s behest, giving him a quasi-executive status.

With the Corpse Dragon Battle Axe in hand, his fighting power ranked among the top in Demiurge, which left the other executives feeling somewhat threatened and uneasy toward him.

After effortlessly swinging the large axe a few times to get the feel of it, Iwakura took a deep breath and wiped the sweat from his brow.

 ”Iwakura-kun!”

Startled, Iwakura jumped as I called out from right behind him.

 ”S-Shitone-senpai!?”

He whipped around, paling in surprise and instinctively taking a step back, but Shizuka closed the distance as he retreated.

”I haven’t seen Kibakura-kun around lately. Do you know where he is? You must know, right?”

As Shizuka looked up at him with a fixed smile, Iwakura stumbled back another step, his eyes wide with fear.

Standing over 6 feet tall and known for his martial prowess, Iwakura appeared like a frog caught in the gaze of a snake before Shizuka.

 ”W-well…? I’m not an executive, so I haven’t heard anything…”

”Hmm? Is that really how it is? The loyal sidekick of Kibakura-kun just walks away without saying a word? I doubt that!”

Shizuka seized Iwakura’s right arm, which gripped the battle axe.

 ”Ugh…!?”

Instinctively, he tried to shake her off, but Shizuka’s slender arm, now gripping Iwakura’s thick right one, didn’t even flinch.

Iwakura’s class was the heavy armor warrior, a class that received a bonus to their physical strength, making them the strongest in the Academy.

With raw power and physique far surpassing others, he had boasted that no one but Kibakura could ever best him in arm wrestling──but that logic didn’t apply to Shizuka at all.

”Hehe, you’re sweating a lot. How about we take a little break over there? I haven’t been fed in a while, so I’m feeling a bit… peckish, you know?”

As Shizuka licked her lips with a red tongue, Iwakura raised the white flag.

In the back of his mind, he pondered if he could really take her down with his Corpse Dragon Battle Axe if he fought her for real, but his instincts warned him not to defy this person.

”Please have mercy…. I heard Kibakura-san is camping on the 4th floor to level up. The brass has been sending out directives to level up as soon as possible…”

”I thought you’d finally come to your senses, but I guess that’s just like Kibakura-kun…”

The thought of the higher-ups’ expressions did bring a hint of discomfort, but it wasn’t entirely inconceivable.

”So, Iwakura-kun, you’re not participating in that leveling up?”

”I’m under direct orders from Kibakura-san, and Moriya-san has instructed me to prioritize that.”

 ”Direct orders from Kibakura-kun?”

 ”That’s right, and I’ll introduce a long-awaited meal. There’s this guy named Tsuchimiya, a second-year.”

 ”……Huh, Tsuchimiya-kun?”

 ”You know him?”

Iwakura tensed at Shizuka’s unresponsive expression.

 ”Yes, I know him.”

”Then, let’s make this quick. Please go ahead and eat him. I can’t provide the setup, but I’ll ask as soon as possible.”

”……Alright, can’t be helped. I was planning to take my time and enjoy it, but I was getting impatient too, so it works out.”

 ”Then…!”

”Yes, I’ll take it. But in return, I’ll do it my favorite way.”

A dark, obsessive light flickered in Shizuka’s eyes as she smiled wickedly, and Iwakura couldn’t help but let out a strained laugh.
