Chapter 634 Main Target Attack
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
(Kazumi’s POV)
After parting ways with Hiroya and the others, Asuka and I stayed at home.
I’m here to relax at home for the first time in a while.
Asuka is getting practice from Papa.
”…Kazumi… Are you always just lazing around like this? Are you really doing things like cooking and cleaning? Household chores?”
While I was lying comfortably on the sofa in the living room, Mama came in, grumbling a little, bringing tea and cookies.
”I’m doing fine! Look, we have a genius at doing household chores here as a role model.”
I take a pinch of cookie from the plate and put it in my mouth.
”It’s Ms. Hanna, right? Make sure you learn from her while you can, okay? You’re going to be Hiroya’s bride, right?”
”Ugh…!”
To be honest, I leave the Clan house work completely to Ms. Hanna.
She manages the Wolf Maids and Ms. Carla, and Ms. Ariane.
”Even though you have a good role model like Ms. Hanna nearby…”
Mama, sitting across from me, looks at me with a puzzled expression and reaches for her cup.
”Hey! I’m doing my part too!”
”I wonder about that…”
Actually, I am one of the better ones at doing housework among the clan adventurers.
I’m getting help from the Wolf Maids, but I’m trying to work together with Rena to do as much housework as we can.
In my previous life, I mostly worked, so I was really bad at housework.
That’s why I want to take care of Hiroya and do things for him in this ‘second life’ that I have been given.
(Soon, I really have to learn how to cook too…)
That said, the first thing I need to do is defeat Azradelius and rescue Hiroya’s mother, Mr. Koichi, and Ms. Aelia.
And I need to release Lilith.
(For that… cooking is important, but also magic… right?)
I have been training my fire-type magic endlessly.
Thanks to that, my skill level has reached its limit, and when it comes to fire-type magic alone, I wouldn’t even lose to Rena.
But because of that… I neglected other types, and this time in the Great Labyrinth exploration, I couldn’t be of any help.
──Just attacking won’t protect everyone.
Moreover, there are strong monsters that have high resistance to fire.
’It’s kind of plain… Hiroya should just learn to use it himself.’
Back when I started training magic, I said that to Hiroya, who wanted me to learn enhancement-type magic.
I admired flashy attack spells and focused only on fire-type magic──especially attack magic──and polished it.
Rena and I were in charge of magic support for the Liz team, with Rena using Protection and me using attack.
Even though we didn’t decide it, it felt like we naturally divided our roles that way.
(Rena’s Protection magic is certainly amazing. But what makes her truly incredible is that she can handle all attributes.)
Rena’s magic can handle any enemy and any situation.
To support the party members, that’s why I too need to start being able to use other attributes.
I don’t have to master everything.
I want to be able to use 2 more types besides fire.
Of course, at the same level as my current fire magic.
And then──
(Since Rena can use Healing… I want to be able to enhance my friends.)
Just like Hiroya said, I want to use enhancement-type magic.
’Attack power enhancement’ and ‘Protection power enhancement’──.
Magic that can enhance my companions will increase the overall strength.
I want to yell at my past self who looked down on such support magic while longing for flashy attack magic.
I should have done what Hiroya wished properly.
(During this holiday, I will focus on training my magic.)
While eating cookies, I was remembering the contents of the magic book Rena had introduced me to and I had read before.

(Asuka’s POV)
(As expected of Hiroya’s master. They really are the ‘greatest knight in the kingdom.’)
Through my poised Bokken sword, I locked onto Knight Müller directly in front of me.
Up until now, all of my rapid thrusting attacks had been blocked by the wooden sword in his hand.
”Hmm. So this is the thrust of Asuka Lombard, called the ‘Maiden of the Gale.’ Not bad… and you can still get faster, right?”
Saying that, Knight Müller raised his wooden sword and got into position in front of me.
(Just as he said, I still haven’t used ‘Physical Boost’ yet. Moreover──I haven’t even stepped into the realm of rank S.)
Next, let’s see how it goes with ‘Physical Boost.’
…Just as I decided that and started to gather magical power inside me.
A killing intent filled the air──of course, it wasn’t coming from me or Knight Müller.
It seemed that Knight Müller noticed this strong presence and, after giving me a glance, ran towards the sword leaning against the corner of the garden.
I still had my unnamed beloved katana at my waist, but the killing intent I felt was definitely that of a strong opponent.
(If it’s not ‘Kansenmaru’…)
I also followed after Knight Müller to equip the magic sword I had taken off before we faced each other.

I equipped ‘Kansenmaru’ on my back, and Knight Müller quickly put on his armor.
It was something that was in a canvas bag placed next to the sword.
”Knight Lord Müller, are you ready?”
”Actually, after our match with wooden swords, I was thinking of going at it seriously with you, who is among the best swordsmen in Raetia.”
As he tightened the belt of his gauntlets, he showed a cheerful smile that didn’t suit a seasoned knight.
”I didn’t expect things to turn out like this… but well, it’s a good result.”
”The master of this presence… is it really that strong…?”
”Ah. You should be careful too. ──Don’t let your guard down.”
Knight Müller, dressed in full armor, directed a serious gaze at me through the visor of his iron helmet.
I nodded back seriously and waited for the master of the killing intent while being vigilant of my surroundings.

(Third Person Perspective)
”Oh ho. So there is the kingdom’s best knight… well, it’s only natural since he is Kazumi’s father.”
Hovering above Raetia, a demon looked down at a certain mansion and muttered quietly.
The one known as *Three-Face* should’ve had his will fully dominated by Azradelius—or at least something that wore his name. Yet the way he spoke… it carried that same old thrill he always felt when facing strong opponents.
Maybe—just *maybe*—the real him was still fighting back deep inside, surfacing for just a moment.
”I expected a struggle… but I didn’t think I’d feel this fired up.”
The sealed part of his mind drifted back to an old battle.
Back when he fought alongside the Purple Flame Demon Princess—one of the Four Dark Heavens—against the Hero’s party. Elberhardt, the hero. Shinji, the heroic swordsman. Megumi, the fierce fighter. Milia, the magician…
(We lost… but it was a damn good fight.)
A grin twisted across one of his faces as he dove toward the mansion.
(Let this one… be just as satisfying.)
But the moment the thought passed, his expression snapped back to rage. The excitement vanished—
And the cold, merciless presence took control again.
