Loveho-Isekai v1c21-2

Volume 1 Chapter 21-2 The Serious Spirit

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Lifia stands nervously in front of the door.

She tries to see outside but can’t find any sign of the orc.

But it’s clear that it’s there.

 It must still be waiting.

I can’t believe that stubborn orc would just give up.

This time, I won’t use any detection magic.

I’ll unleash wind magic right from the start.

If I rely on detection, I might lose the first move.

I’ll trust Lifia and Moo-Moo that enhanced wind magic can blow the orc away along with the trees.

Lifia begins to chant her spell.

At the same time, small lights dance around her.

”Oh, my spirit, oh, my wind

 Your name is Mooluumventas

Become the sword of our master

Strike down our master’s enemies and clear the path──”

Then Lifia suddenly opens the door and activates the magic towards the forest.

 ”Tempest!”

 …

 ”Wait, Moo-Moo, no──”

Lifia’s confident face changes to fear and confusion.

In the next moment, the view outside the door disappears.

The wind howls, making it impossible to see the forest or the sky.

It’s like facing the fury of nature──a storm stronger than a hurricane blows everything away.

But strangely, the space inside the door feels calm and still.

Not even a breeze touches the Love Hotel room, as if the storm can’t reach us at all.

Lifia and I just stare blankly at the scene.

We are speechless before such overwhelming power, and for a moment, neither of us can say anything.

After a while, the violent wind slowly calms down.

Looking at the clear view again, we are left in shock.

 There was nothing there.

Warm sunlight shines down from above.

It’s the first sunlight we’ve seen in days, but there’s no joy in it.

The once-thick trees, the leaf litter, even the roots have vanished, exposing the red-brown soil underneath.

Stepping outside, we find a desolate place as if everything has been stripped away.

Around the door where we stand, about a one-meter radius is untouched, and the forest outside is cut in a circle.

When I look further away, there is a vast empty space for hundreds of meters, maybe even up to a kilometer.

It looks like a giant spoon scooped up the whole forest.

Lifia and I could only stand frozen in awe of the overwhelming destruction.

Of course, there are no signs of any orcs.

 ”Lifia”

 ”Wh-what!?”

 Lifia turns, her face pale.

 ”What was that?”

 ”I-I’m sorry… Moo-Moo got a bit too excited. I couldn’t control it.”

Lifia lowers her head, looking apologetic, but there’s a little sweat on her cheeks.

It seems like she completely went out of control.

So this is the power of a high elf.

 I look around again.

In this empty space, I can’t help but feel the weight of Lifia’s power.

”Do you think there are still orcs?”

”Um… with the wind just now, they probably blew far beyond my sensing range, so I think they’re not here…”

A one-kilometer area has been completely hollowed out.

From what I see, there’s nothing here.

”I’ll use my sensing magic, just in case.”

”Wait, is that okay? What if it goes out of control again?”

”With sensing magic, even if it goes wrong, there shouldn’t be any damage… I hope.”

Lifia answers, looking a bit awkward.

I’m a little worried, but if Lifia says it’s fine, I’ll trust her.

 Moo-Moo shouldn’t hurt her either.

She focuses and starts to chant a spell.

 Then……

 ”…”

Lifia suddenly stumbles and falls forward.

 ”Lifia!?”

 I rush to catch her.

I see she’s dizzy and bleeding from her nose.

I hurry to lift her and carry her back inside the door.

I lay Lifia down on the bed.

It hurts that I’m out of potions.

I want to believe she’s not in serious danger.

I have no choice; I open the fridge to at least give her some water, but there’s no mineral water left.

 ”Damn it…”

I open the refill menu, feeling annoyed.

Then, an unfamiliar item catches my eye.

 ”Huh?”

It says “Lesser Healing Potion: 10P.”

 ”Seriously?”

Surprised, I tap the refill button.

Suddenly, I hear a “clang” from the fridge.

I quickly open the fridge, and there it is, one potion sitting inside.

 ”Yes!”

Happy about this unexpected feature of the Love Hotel, I take out the potion.

I give the potion to Lifia to drink.

Of course, I do it by mouth.

I hold the potion in my mouth and press my lips to hers.

Lifia’s lips are soft and warm.

As I slide my tongue in, even while she’s fainted, Lifia instinctively wraps her tongue around mine.

 What a naughty girl.

I slowly pour the liquid into her.

With every gulp, I hear Lifia’s throat make little sounds, and I can see her breathing start to steady.

After repeating this, by the time the bottle is empty, some color is returning to her face.

 ”Lifia, are you okay?”

 ”It’s bitter, ugh… Wait? Master?”

 I can’t help but laugh.

Her reaction about the potion is the same as mine.

Her awareness is back, so she should be fine now.
