After getting out of the bath, Gargantua and I went back to the room and slept together.
As I watched Gargantua’s peaceful sleeping face, hugging me with her big chest, I naturally fell asleep too.

Gargantua jumps up from the bed in a panic when she sees me.

I call out to her and step out of the room.

I thought it would just be me, Asuka, Simona, and Silke and Annabelle from Laura’s team since Gieze and Violet aren’t around…
”Good morning, Lord Hiroya. Thank you for inviting Lady Asuka to the celebration… I really want to see the practice…”
”Please take care of us!”
Frieda bows her head to me, looking surprised.
Behind her, the 3 vanguards from her party, Clay, Warda, and Berta, greet me cheerfully.
”Since we’re joining the practice, we should start with some basic swings!”
”Right! Come on, Vice-Captain Frieda, you have to start with a thousand swings!”
Silke and Annabelle, for some reason acting like seniors, are giving orders.
And Frieda and the others obediently start swinging their wooden swords.

I said yes and went to the middle of the courtyard with her.
”It’s gonna be a tough fight, so everyone, come watch over here.”
Simona gathered the others near the house.
Even though it’s just Bokken swords, Gargantua has ranged attacks.
We don’t want anyone to get hurt.
”It’s a spar between Lady Gargantua, of the Four Dark Heavens, and the swift Lord Hiroya. Watch closely and learn.”
”Yes!”
I heard Frieda and the others.
”Hoho. The fight between Master and Gargantua will be a fast battle at ‘Rank S’. You usually can’t see it.”
”Is that so…”
Frieda sounded disappointed when Lilith and Frejya showed up.
”Lilith and I will help you see it. Forget about the speed, their swordsmanship will help you learn.”
Frejya patted Frieda’s shoulder, and I looked back at Gargantua.

(Gargantua’s POV)
(Hmm. My body feels light, and I’m not tired at all…)
Right after I finished swinging, I felt better than usual.
And, I’ll spar with Hiroya like we promised.
”No special moves. I’ll fight you alone.”
’Special move’ is probably ‘Soul Separation’. Hiroya put his hand on his Bokken sword. It’s ‘Obu Muso Style’. That’s where his crazy speed and Firebomb attacks come from.
But──I think I can block his first attack and then counter-attack easily.
(I feel so… strong!)
I aimed the tip of my Bokken sword at my opponent’s left eye, preparing in what’s called the ‘blue stance.’
Normally, fighters learn to hold their swords in the ‘normal stance’ aimed at the throat, but experienced swordsmen tend to prefer the ‘blue stance.’
After seeing my pose, Hiroya’s stance sank even lower.

In the next moment, Hiroya surged towards me with incredible speed, like a firebomb.
(Even faster than before!? )
I also swung my Bokken sword to the right with all my sword speed.

I somehow blocked his strike from his left hip, where he drew his katana.

I held back the smile that wanted to break free and, with the power rising from within me, I pushed his Bokken sword back.

Realizing my counterattack, Hiroya jumped back to create some distance.

”Brute? That’s quite rude.”
I laughed at Hiroya’s teasing words and channeled my magical power into my Bokken sword.
”Raijin Kizan (Thunder God Slash)!”
This technique is hard to use with a Bokken sword, but this morning, my magical power flowed well, and a stunning lightning bolt wrapped around my Bokken sword.
From above, I swung down my Bokken sword, sending lightning towards Hiroya.
”I can’t let this hit me!”
Hiroya, who had already sheathed his Bokken sword at his left hip, drew it and attempted to deflect it, but instead, he caught the lightning.
The lightning bridging our Bokken swords began to be absorbed into Hiroya’s sword…

I kicked off the ground, heading towards Hiroya with my Bokken sword wrapped in hellfire.
He answered back with his own Bokken sword covered in lightning.
That was the moment.
”Stop right there!”
With Frejya’s voice, the flames and lightning between me and Hiroya faded away.
