Loveho-Isekai v3c20-2

Volume 3 Chapter 20-2 The Magic-Draining Snow Mountain

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Kéa, wearing a red coat, is full of energy.

She usually wears a revealing bikini armor, so seeing her in proper clothes is refreshing.

She looks like a tomboy forced into a child’s costume.

Especially, the way she fiddles with the white pom-pom on her hat while walking seems so innocent and charming.

”How do I look? I look good, right?”

Kéa stands tall with a confident expression.

I can’t help but laugh at her gesture.

Wrapped in red, she gives a different, calmer impression, and surprisingly shows a bit of femininity.

Their adorable appearance makes me naturally smile.

I don’t feel the cold in the snow, not just because of the Santa costume’s quality.

The innocent cuteness of these two warms my heart.

But I am sad that they are showing less skin.

Of course, there is no exposure except their faces.

Well, thinking about it, I guess it means more fun later when I can undress them at the Love Hotel?

It might be nice to have them wear mini-skirt Santa outfits during playtime.

By the way, I am just a regular, ordinary Santa Claus.

My thick red outfit and hat protect me completely from the cold.

Just as expected, the Love Hotel costumes perform exactly as I hoped.

 ”Alright, let’s move on now.”

 ”Yes!”

 ”Understood!”

When I call out, Lifia and Kéa nod energetically.

Their red outfits stand out in the snowy scene, as the 3 Santas continue down the snowy mountain path.

Deep snow spreads out beneath our feet on the snowy mountain.

But we are able to move on without getting stuck.

This is thanks to our Santa costume boots.

These high-performance boots do more than keep warm.

They prevent slipping on ice and getting stuck in the snow.

So far, the weather is on our side.

The sky is clear, and the sunlight reflects off the snow, making it dazzling.

But we must not let our guard down.

I hear mountain weather can change quickly.

It seems the snowy mountains in this dungeon are no different.

Once a blizzard hits, everything turns white.

Moreover, the snow in the air absorbs magic power, weakening its effects.

It’s easy to see why normal adventurers struggle to conquer this place.

But we don’t need to worry too much.

If a blizzard comes, we just stop exploring and rest.

We can do this thanks to the power of the “Love Hotel.”

It’s a safe space that completely blocks the cold and blizzards, allowing us to rest well.

If we keep resting every time there’s a blizzard, our exploration efficiency might drop.

 But it can’t be helped.

Our exploration efficiency is already way better than other adventurers.

Plus, there’s no need to push ourselves.

Let’s take our time and explore.

”Milord, it feels nice when the weather is good!”

As we start walking, Kéa shows a cheerful smile.

”Yeah, but don’t let your guard down.”

It looks like a beautiful snowy mountain, but we are in a dungeon.

 Danger is clearly lurking here.

While we are having this exchange, Lifia spoke up in a cautious tone.

 ”There’s a monster. There’s a small, animal-like reaction ahead.”

 A monster appears right away.

We move carefully toward the direction Lifia pointed.

However, we can’t see it anywhere around.

 ”Where is it?”

I searched carefully in the area Lifia pointed and finally spotted it.

 ”Is that a hedgehog?”

What I saw was a monster covered in ice spikes, just like a hedgehog.

It was wrapped in white and blue, the same colors as the snowfield.

Its appearance blended into the surroundings, acting like camouflage.

Even though it’s small, we can’t let our guard down.

It’s a monster from the 4th Floor of the dungeon.

Its name is “Frostspike Beast,” if I remember correctly.

According to the features I heard from Tifi…

 ”Let’s go!”

Kéa shouted powerfully and jumped out.

In that moment, the Frostspike Beast shot multiple sharp ice spikes at Kéa.

 ”Hmph!”

Kéa swung her sword and deflected the spikes.

Her skill blocked all the Frostspike Beast’s attacks.

Her arm movements were beautifully flowing.

But in that gap, the Frostspike Beast quickly dove into the snow and hid.

 ”W-where did it go?!”

Kéa looked around, showing a worried expression.

 ”Behind you!”

 Lifia’s voice rang out.

At the same time her shout reached us, the Frostspike Beast jumped out from the snow at Kéa, baring its sharp fangs to bite.

 ”Huh!”

Kéa quickly reacts and thrusts her sword.

The blade pierces the body of the Frostspike Beast, killing it.

The body of the Frostspike Beast stops moving and slowly disappears like melting snow.

All that is left is just cold air.

 ”Phew, that was surprising!”

Kéa catches her breath and sheaths her sword.

”You can’t let your guard down, Kéa.”

 ”I’m sorry…”

When Lifia quietly warns her, Kéa droops her shoulders and looks down, feeling sorry.

Lifia’s expression seems to soften a little at that sight.

”Stay alert. Even if it looks weak, it’s a monster from the dungeon’s 4th Floor.”

I speak to Kéa as if to remind her.

Kéa nods strongly at my words.

 ”I understand!”

Kéa’s reply is a bit reflective, but still positive.

The corpse of the Frostspike Beast completely melts away, leaving only sharp ice spikes.

The spikes are scattered around irregularly, as if the battle that just happened was a lie.

 Only silence spreads.

Even the sound of the wind is barely heard.

”But this hedgehog only leaves behind spikes.”

I mutter while looking at the spikes left after the Frostspike Beast disappeared.

Lifia stares at the spikes at her feet and quietly nods.

”Yes. But even one of these spikes should be worth about 100,000 Aurum.”

At her words, I gaze at the scattered spikes.

The ice spikes never melt, even at room temperature, and can be used as some kind of material.

That’s why these spikes have very high value.

They look like just ice spikes, but you can’t touch them easily.

It’s said that if you touch them with bare hands, your hand will freeze instantly and get frostbite.

Still, each of these scattered spikes around here is worth 100,000 Aurum.

My sense of money is getting strange.

 Well, that’s nothing new.

I have something that money can never buy.

 The Love Hotel.

Compared to the skill ‘Love Hotel’ and its functions, any expensive item is just a small change.

Thanking my luck for having the Love Hotel, we started walking again.
