Rising Monk V3c105-2

Volume 3 Chapter 105 The Opening Of The Erotic Gear That Only I Can See

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

”So, you mean this is just for selling?”

”Look closer. That armor isn’t just plain iron.”

”Huh? Guess I’ll pull it out then.”

He scooped the full set of chainmail out from the coffin and lined it up on the stone floor.

 ’Use your vampire’s vision.’

 ”──!? Wh-what is this?!”

To regular eyes, it looked like ordinary chainmail.

 Nothing special.

But the instant he turned on his vampire vision, the chainmail changed.

Now, it only covered the chest and groin with tiny patches──basically, a chainmail bikini.

 The boots were leather.

They only came up to the calves.

’The less it covered, the more it showed the true form.’

”This isn’t armor! It’s just pervy gear!”

’The defense was even better than the Nightshade set. It held up strong against fire, lightning, cold──any kind of magic attack. Physical defense too. Top class for close-range fighters.’

”It looks like it doesn’t protect much of anything… If someone goes for the neck, there’s nothing there. What then?”

’Attacks bounce off. Like the Princess Knight set, a wall of magic is always up. Even stronger than the one monk warriors use. And since most of the body’s bare, you can move nearly as fast as you want. Decent against heat and cold, too.’

”So vampire warriors really fought in gear this skimpy?”

’It was slave gear. They forced humans──treated like livestock──to wear this in the arena for sport. That’s why they cared so much about the look.’

”But the look… it just covers the chest. And the bottom’s barely a chain──just enough to hide anything important.”

’I called it ‘body beauty.’ You wore stuff like this before fighting underground, didn’t you?’

”You mean that gold… uh, nut-bra? Feels like ages since I wore that.”

’This chainmail is for women. If you wore it, parts would spill out. Not a pretty picture.’

”Surely, this golden chain like a twisted rope around my groin won’t hide my balls properly. They’ll definitely hang loose and messy. And I bet it won’t even cover the stick part properly. Plus, it covers my nipples too, even though it doesn’t need to, making it look extra pervy.”

’Seems like Oswald likes it, huh.’

 ”Stop.”

Kian said it seriously as he carefully folded the chain mail.

This guy was a take-home kind of guy.

The armor’s design, with boob armor and golden rope chains, seemed wearable for both Sarah and Serena.

If Sarah wore it, it would probably hug her chest tightly, which would be very nice.

(Erotic gear only I can see)

Never thought he’d find divine equipment like this in a place like this.

The craftman who made this armor wasn’t a pervert, but a god.

They might even be a match for the god of death and rebirth, Azrael.

Kian reached for the last coffin stored at the very bottom.

Inside the coffin were old Gold Coins and Silver Coins.

Neither the Gold Coins nor the Silver Coins looked the slightest bit tarnished, appearing as if they had just been put there.

They could be melted down into gold and silver ingots, but selling them to a collector or researcher seemed like a better idea.

The ‘Empire of Night’ currency he had found earlier, he had sold to Oswald, but now Oswald was in a cage.

If he was to sell them, he’d need to find someone else.

Maribel wouldn’t buy them, so he’d have to choose between Owl, Châtillon’s acting lord Guy, or Priscilla.

Owl seemed interested, but would Guy and Priscilla be interested in ancient Gold Coins?

”Maybe I should’ve left them sealed. They’re heavy, after all.”

 ’Take them back?’

”Let’s take a few back. If I get a chance to show them to Owl, Guy, or Ms. Priscilla, I’ll ask if they want to buy them.”

Kian grabbed 5 of each, the Gold Coins and Silver Coins, and put them in the Night Wraith.

He left the rest buried in the sand inside the coffin.

That was the end of the treasures on the bottom level.

Kian used the ability of the Windsong Blade to extinguish the flames burning on the stone plate, then bid farewell to the basement.

In the passageway to the next level, there was another set of erotic gear, this one in a ‘Princess Knight’ theme, with a luxurious armor in shades of blue, silver, and gold──and of course, a miniskirt.

The new erotic armor was black leather, looking like something you’d see in a brōtḥel for a certain kind of play.

The chest was covered in black leather, with a harness that came out from the collar to hold it up, ensuring it didn’t sag.

 Below, predictably, was a miniskirt.

The thighs had belts for storing small knives, and the boots were black leather with no heels.

 ’That’s slave equipment too.’

”A bit too kinky, maybe? Alright, I’ll take this one too.”

He decided to keep the ‘Silver Ice’ gear he was already wearing, and also take the ‘Nightshade’ and the two types of erotic armor──one that looked like chain mail and the other like leather mail.

His back holder was already filled with the Windsong Blade, making it seem difficult to carry any more equipment.

It was also questionable if Wing: Cain could fly properly with the added weight.

He had, however, chosen the largest individual to carry these things just in case…

”There are also pure gold goblets and silver plates. Can vampires really be hurt by silver if they used it for dining?”

’Just a hobby. For display on walls and such. For actual meals, they used pottery. Thanks to the advanced magic civilization, even commoners could use high-quality pottery plates.’

”Count Cain’s domain must be a treasure trove.”

’A dangerous place. Absolutely do not go there.’

 ”Of course.”

He left only the coffins in the first basement, deciding to stop opening them.

It was because there was no point in opening them if he couldn’t take the contents with him.

If there were valuable equipment inside, it was possible, but the probability was likely low.

The reason was that if Talia had awakened and left on a journey with her followers, she would have first opened the coffins on the lowest level to prepare her equipment.

 Burgkain had equipped the ‘Nightshade’.

Talia was dressed in the ‘Princess Knight’ gear.

The gardener, Jeffrey, had no armor, but his task was to bring Talia here.

He wasn’t told to take care of her afterward.

It was expected that he would report back to Count Cain, entrusting the soul-sealed Black Onyx to Burgkain, and then return to the Count’s domain.

This meant that their equipment would all be at the lowest level in the dungeon, so it was natural to assume that the rest would be spare ‘Princess Knight’ gear and items for barter, such as medicine and food.

Since they didn’t know when they would come back here, it would be a waste to recklessly remove the barrier and let the contents inside deteriorate.

It would be better to have a trusted Witch like Aliona or Christy verify it first before opening it.

Now, even if they found valuable medicine, they couldn’t immediately return to Izerland, nor could they summon them for verification.

They passed through the corridor and climbed the stairs leading to the surface.

When Kian saw the outside light after several hours, he let out a sigh of relief.

He had wondered what would happen if he was struck by the mysterious chill while underground, but somehow, he managed to return safely to the surface.

As Kian jumped over the last step and stepped outside, the entrance rumbled and sealed shut behind him.

Just a few seconds later, what was once an entrance now looked like an ordinary wall, neatly sealing the way in.

There was no sign of air leaking from the wall, making it difficult for even a skilled scout to detect that it was a hidden door.

Kian signaled for Wing-Cain, who had been waiting, to come down.

He grabbed onto its leg and soared into the vast sky.

* * *

Flying through the sky on Wing-Cain, the journey of 20 kilometers was over in no time.

Below was treacherous swamp land, but it didn’t matter to Wing-Cain.

Since all the equipment they brought was lightweight, they made it back without stopping, reaching a field 4 kilometers from the village by dusk.

From here on, the chances of being spotted by Adventurers or Wolfmen scout troops would be too high to use Wing-Cain.

Kian let go of Wing-Cain and landed with a thud in the middle of the field.

”I thought about walking from here. Even if the gear wasn’t that heavy, I really hated having both hands full.”

’Just make an ice sled and pull it home.’

 ”Not a bad plan.”

He used Silver Ice to craft a sled, looped a rope through a hole, and tied it around his waist.

Then he piled his stuff onto the sled and started to jog, slow and steady.

(Sometimes Silver Ice, sometimes Nightshade──well, it depended on the job. If I put on one, it was a pain to switch to the other, so I should checked what the quest needed before picking the gear.)

As he neared the village, he spotted farmers coming home.

They swung their tools over tired shoulders and walked the rural path back.

Some recognized his face right away.

A few even called out, saying, “Oh, it’s you!”

After he defeated the thorn beast──yeah, the one that killed Nerea and other villagers──folks had started warming up to him.

 ”Kian!”

A high, clear voice rang from the village gate.

He saw Serena waving big, her hand catching fire in the red glow of sunset.

 ”Serena, I’m back.”

He unloaded his gear from the sled, tucked it in under his arm.

He flipped the sled over and left it by the edge of the path, no point in keeping it.

”Welcome back. Are those spoils of war?”

”Yeah. Found them up at the northern fort. Couldn’t track down Ms. Vestacia, though.”

”The map came in just fine. Ms. Sarah and Ms. Ninini are waiting at the hut.”

”Thanks. How’s Ms. Ninini holding up?”

They walked side by side through the village, Kian casting a glance at Serena.

 Serena’s ears drooped.

 She shook her head.

 ”She’s not getting better?”
