During class, Haruto looked around and sighed
All he heard was the teacher’s voice at the podium and the keyboard typing.
These days, middle schoolers don’t carry textbooks
They use school-provided laptops for lessons.
What they type on these computers can be seen on their smartphones or at home,
and every class gives an 8 to 12-digit code to access a dedicated school site, where they can watch recorded videos of lessons.
(Well, I admit it’s convenient. But people still need to write things down to remember them.)
Haruto’s point is correct; top students review by copying notes at home,
and those who skip that tend to have surprisingly poor grades.
(Back then, I used to copy what was written on the blackboard into my notebook~)
Yes, the core of Haruto’s problem is a generation gap.

Haruto knew what current middle school education was like through knowledge filling the blank 100 years,
but knowing and experiencing are different. With memories of his past life, he questions how schools are run.

The sparrow flew away from Haruto’s palm with a flutter.
Haruto, smiling, watches the sparrow as it flies away.
At this moment, Haruto had healed an injury for the first time that wasn’t just a cut or scrape.
A treatment no human could perform, neither medically nor by common sense.
(Come to think of it, I never considered treating animals.)
Up until now, Haruto had been studying human anatomy and medicine,
but this event would lead him to start learning about animal anatomy and medicine as well.
