After returning from the school trip, Haruto talks with Harue in the living room as he hands her souvenirs.
”Here, Mom, souvenirs.”
”Thanks! Did you have fun?”
”Yeah! It was really fun!”
”Didn’t buy anything for yourself?”
”There wasn’t anything I wanted.”
Saying there was nothing he wanted isn’t wrong, but
there’s actually another reason.
”Huh? Haru-kun, you have one more souvenir?”
”Oh, that’s for my girlfriend.”

”Really! What’s she like?”

Haruto’s idea to study together came from the bottom of his heart.

Haruto’s souvenir is a matching necklace──no relation to Kyoto or Nara.
The men’s is black, the women’s is pink, both ring-shaped, with Haruto and Akane’s names engraved in Roman letters.
”I’ll put it on you.”
”Yup!”
To put on the necklace, Akane gathers her long hair with her hand.
The faint scent of shampoo drifts as her beautiful nape appears, and Haruto’s eyes are drawn to it.
(Swallow, such a pretty neck.)
Resisting the urge to just push her down, he wraps his hands around Akane’s back and fastens the necklace.
”Thanks! I’ll put one on you too.”
This time, Akane puts her hands around Haruto’s back and fastens the necklace.
She finishes, then turns away, and Haruto pulls her back into a hug.
”Haha, Haruto.”
”Akane.”
Suddenly hugged, Akane is surprised for a moment but quickly wraps her arms around Haruto’s back and hugs back.
They linger in the embrace, then slowly part.
No words needed anymore.
The faces of the two, eyes meeting, slowly draw closer.
