Rising-Monk v3c116

Volume 3 Chapter 116 The Last Shadow (Shadow)

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

After the second match with Sarah, Kian cleanses his body at the pond.

Even though it’s early summer, the water at midnight is freezing cold.

”Should I have made a sauna?”

Sarah shivers, holding her hands near the bonfire.

Kian hugs her cold body and whispers,

”That’s why I don’t need one. It gives us a reason to stay close.”

”Just stay close in the sauna instead.”

In Kian’s arms, Sarah tightly wraps the towel around her shoulders.

Her hair is already dry, with no lingering scent of intimacy. The warmth of her body through her white negligee makes Kian’s groin uncomfortable.

”Why are you getting an erection?”

 ”No, this is—”

 ”Was it not enough?”

”I want to be with you anytime. But if we keep going, it’ll affect tomorrow’s exploration.”

They must leave at dawn to explore the Great Forest,

to find the teleportation gate Barghest left behind.

Kian wants to find the gate quickly, send Rean and Serena back, and rescue Vestacia.

Sarah snuggles into Kian’s arms, resting her head gently on his shoulder.

 ”It’s probably today already.”

”Yeah. We also need to tidy your bed afterward, so we should hurry.”

”Want to take a nap for about 2 hours?”

 ”Yes.”

 ”Then let’s sleep together.”

Fluffy breasts press against his arm.

The brown peaks bulge against the muscles in Kian’s arms, looking so sexy it really gives him an erection.

He strokes Sarah’s butt and thigh lines with his hands.

Sarah lifts one foot and places it on his thigh, slipping her instep under his knee and entwining her leg with his. Their bodies press closer, and Sarah’s smooth cheek rubs against his shoulder.

 ”Hey.”

 ”Hmm?”

”Ms. Christy and me, which one did you feel better with?”

 ”Booo?!”

”Hahahaha, you’re kidding. What’s with that face? That’s weird.”

”Oh, hey Sarah. Stop it. You’re not joking.”

”Are you answering honestly if I ask you seriously?”

”There’s no way I can answer that.”

Each has their own good points, but saying that might make Sarah sulk. Right now, Kian is her number one.

”Hmm. Well, I guess that’s fine. …Soon, I’ll make you unable to live without me.”

(I’m scared because her words are always so precise.)

I can’t help feeling regret about how certain the future conflicts are.

Sarah and Christy’s first encounter was hell, but the second might surpass the first easily.

I need to carefully arrange the schedule so Sarah and Christy won’t meet.

(Why am I troubled by such unnecessary things—me?)

’It’s probably because of your unfaithful lower body, you know.’

The voice of ‘glasses,’ who has returned, sounds cold.

Recently, after Kian sleeps with a woman, ‘glasses’ is often like this, but today it’s especially intense. Maybe she saw the previous disgrace. Sarah-led lotion play was a sinful act that traded dignity for pleasure.

”Sarah, why do you like me?”

”Does there have to be a reason to like someone?”

”I don’t think it does, but I want a reason.”

”Guys worry about strange things. Kian does everything so cool—most girls wouldn’t fall for anyone else. Ms. Christy is totally head over heels.”

”I haven’t done anything that special.”

They only saved her and her friend Maribel from the threat of Oswald.

And most of the rest was raping Christy.

I don’t think there’s a factor that usually makes you fall in love, but Christy was a very easy girl, so before you know it, she’s fallen.

Sarah holds Kian’s left hand inside her thighs, wrapped in the thin fabric of her nightgown.

The plump inner thighs begin to compress both sides of his hand.

”When I was little, I felt like I was going to love you because I was going to marry you in the future, rather than being spontaneously romanced. No, I’m not dating you, but it’s better to try hard to like your future husband than dislike him.”

”In the noble world, marriage and love are considered separately. Marriage is for the house. Love is something you do after marriage,” Her Excellency Maribel and Christy were selling this idea.

”I couldn’t think that way. Some of the Twelve Divine Generals might think like that, though.”

Sarah lowers her eyes and leans her head again.

”Frankly, I forgot about you after you left the country. I immersed myself in training and studies due to my frustration, preparing for the future. After 5 years, I even forgot what your voice sounded like.”

”So, you didn’t like me since childhood like in typical romance dramas.”

”Did I disappoint you? I’m not that innocent woman, you know.”

”I’m not disappointed. I thought you had forgotten about me too. In my mind, you and Jibril were married.”

”I said that when we parted to push you away. Actually, he came to see me several times. But after cutting you out, my priority became the Nakash family and Lee. As a warrior monk, I couldn’t think of anything but serving the house.”

Sarah continues, “Let’s get back to the story.”

”I think my feelings settled when I reunited with you and saw you flirting with beautiful girls.”

 ”What do you mean…?”

”Wouldn’t it be unsettling if the boy I used to take care of forgot about me and was lovey-dovey with a cute black-haired Head Magician? Plus, he’s even making other women and having physical relationships.”

 ”────”

Sarah starts to bang her head against his shoulder, Thud, thud!

”Was my existence just that? And how is it that the gloomy and inexperienced Kian is being spoiled by every girl he meets? Is it a joke to flirt in front of me? Kian was originally mine!”

Her brat-like thinking hasn’t changed even at 27, which is quite shocking.

She should stop headbutting people more or less.

Her gorilla strength makes the impact quite strong and very painful.

”Upon reflection, I realized that I liked you. I was arranged to marry without knowing love, but I felt comfortable and happy with you, and I wished it could last forever.”

”So you saw me being popular and felt jealous, and your old feelings reignited.”

”Something like that. Popular guys stay popular.”

”No rhyme or reason. But that might be the truth.”

For example, one of Kian’s girlfriends was Esther, who liked Rean, a handsome and popular guy.

But Esther barely knew Rean and had never even properly spoken to him.

She liked him because the girls around her were fans, and he was popular.

Rean was rich and strong, and dating him would raise her social status.

Rean was a typical example of a popular guy staying popular.

 (Ah, speaking of Rean,)

”By the way, Rean has recovered enough to get up. He looked almost dead yesterday.”

”Amazing things are happening with him. To put it simply, his tachyonian cells are functioning normally. Of course, his health is still poor from being imprisoned for so long, but at least he’s out of immediate danger of death.”

”Does that mean he’ll fully recover if we just wait a while?”

 Kian furrows his brow.

Sarah glances over at the camp and nods.

”Yes. Of course, we need to carefully observe his progress. The suddenly activated tachyonian cells might become inactive again. I’ll provide the Elixir as planned, and I think it will be fine. But I don’t think we should take him along to rescue Ms. Vestacia.”

”What exactly caused him to recover so suddenly?”

”I wonder? It is not a good idea to get too involved in his circumstances. We only deliver them, who are important products, to the client without a single scratch. Normally, Ms. Ninini should also be sent back with Mr. Rean.”

”You think my judgment was wrong?”

”Yes, I do. You should not have taken him to the ancient temple.”

 ”Hmm…”

There is something quite concerning happening with Rean.

Rean had previously handed a ring, which seemed to have hair from Vestacia and Lyritisse braided into it, to a mysterious merchant.

And this time, for some reason, he had lost his power, but as soon as Lyritisse fell into an unexplained coma, Rean got up and casually began talking, as if yesterday’s condition had been a lie…
