The gunshots from the ‘Another World Monster’ continued, and if I couldn’t move any further forward, several tentacles emerged from inside the room, approaching to wrap around me. I blew away hundreds of feathers from my back to make the approaching tentacles attack independently, but their numbers increased at a faster rate. When my attention turned to them, the ‘Another World Monster’ that had been shooting at me approached to restrain my body.
To avoid being restrained, I extended my claws and scratched the face of the ‘Another World Monster’ sideways. The monster, whose head was scratched, had a viscous bodily fluid flowing out, and the claws that touched the liquid melted with a sizzling sound.
”Don’t spew out that dirty liquid!”
I thrust the claws that had begun to melt into the head of the ‘Another World Monster’ and forcibly tore them off from my fingertips. The monster, with its head impaled by my claws, fell to the floor with a thud. However, the remaining two didn’t seem intimidated; they kicked their fallen comrade while trying to catch me.
”Don’t get in my way!!”
Behind me, the feathers continuing their independent attacks against the approaching tentacles began to revert due to a lack of mana, their firepower decreasing as the distance closed. However, if I don’t defeat the two in front of me, I can’t get close to the glass tube, so I continued my attack without hesitation. Since the silver shields the ‘Another World Monsters’ possess negate my ranged attacks, I quickly approached the two and gathered mana in my fists to increase their mass and hardness.
”Don’t think you can stop me.”
With my fists enhanced in mass and hardness, I approached and struck the ‘Another World Monster’ with all my might. When my accelerating punch hit the silver shield, it deformed with a *Grr* sound and became unusable. Then, the monsters subjected to the relentless blows of my now-blunted fists oozed liquid from everywhere and collapsed onto the ground. As the tentacles behind me approached, feathers that had just been reloaded flew out and shot them down before they could get close.
Finally, I reached the glass tube. I focused my hatred on the object floating inside it—a brain and spinal cord connected together.
’Wait a moment, let’s talk. Iska, you have a wonderful power. How about joining me to fly through various dimensions and act as an agent to end the world? You have the power, and I should be able to enhance it even further. How about it? Shall we destroy the world together?’
”That’s all you have to say! I’m already having my ‘world (Deracine)’ destroyed by you people! It’s no use talking now.”
I used all my strength to punch the glass tube. With each blow, cracks formed, and the liquid inside began to leak out.
’Wait a moment! It’s better if you don’t do that. If I disappear, the sealing device will automatically activate, and everyone inside will be trapped in this alternate space. Is that okay?’
”As if I care! As long as I can wipe out all of you, I don’t give a damn about what happens after that!!”
I delivered a concentrated strike to the glass tube, causing the cracks to run up to the ceiling. The glass tube shattered, and the liquid inside leaked out into the room. The brain matter floating inside flowed out at my feet.
”You dared to take my world (Delacline) from me! Die!!”
’Wait. Killing me is the same as sealing the world…’
I mercilessly stomped on the pulsating brain matter on the floor. As the squishy sensation transmitted through the soles of my feet, the voice from earlier played back in my mind.
’Foolish child. You could have avoided ‘fusion’ if you had killed me with your own hands… Sorry, but I’ll be taking your body. This way, I might also gain the power to cut open dimensions. Hehehe, what a truly foolish child.’
”Aaaaaaaaahhhhh……”
