Rising-Monk v3c124-4

Volume 3 Chapter 124-4 The Wandering Straight Punch I

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

 ”Ssh──”

A punch aimed at the chest was thrown.

It seems Linca, who was told to capture Kian alive, cannot use her deadly ‘Penetration’ move. Instead, she attacks with weaker strikes meant to knock the air out of him using ‘Pierce’ or ‘Impact.’

There’s also a way to make the punch stronger by stepping closer and hitting the chest muscles before the power is fully built up. But Kian, who had seen this before, was ready with a different plan.

He turned into mist and vanished like a faint whisper.

Linca chased Kian, who had disappeared into the night, leaving a trail of red light behind.

She’s really good at finding magic power──.

She tried to kick his stomach with her left foot as she turned, but Kian was waiting for that move.

 ”Windsong Blade.”

The sword he held made a loud sound.

There was no time to throw a magic sword from that distance.

But he could quickly use the power stored in the magic sword.

 ”────!?”

 Linca’s body shook hard.

Kian used a new power of the Windsong Blade──freezing, to freeze the ground under Linca’s feet.

The stone floor, stained with the blood of fallen warriors, froze just as she jumped. Her foot slipped on the thin ice, throwing off her balance.

If they fought 20 times, Sarah might land a hit on her.

Even against the unbeatable Linca, she might land a hit once in a while.

Anyway, Kian quickly focused on the Windsong Blade and swung it horizontally at Linca from very close.

The magic sword was fast but weaker──it only passed through Linca’s body and broke the stone behind her, freezing it.

(No good. Rean’s armor couldn’t be broken, but so far, everything else is too strong. Her ability to pass through works on her whole body. What Sarah said was true, I can’t hurt her right now.)

 ’Kian, you should run.’

 (You always say that.)

Kian narrowed his eyes while dodging Linca’s fast kicks to the right and left.

(Even if my attack doesn’t work, there’s another way to beat her.)

 ’What?’

(She has a big weakness. If I use it, I can win.)

Kian raised the Windsong Blade in front of him and took a stance.

His left hand went behind his back, as if he was making a promise with his sword.

The magic sword roared, stirring up the wind, and Kian slid on the ice, easily avoiding Linca’s deadly 3-hit combo.

 ”────! “

 Two right punches.

 One kick.

He moved behind Linca as she attacked and tried to slash her with the magic sword again.

As expected, the attack didn’t work, and the sword passed through her back without stopping.

(Direct sword attacks don’t work either, then.)

 ’What is her big weakness?’

 (It’s her sense of justice.)

 He dodges her punches.

Shakes his head and avoids them, then stops her kick with his abs.

Of course, the damage heals right away.

Linca, clearly upset, steps back after attacking.

She does a somersault in the air, 2 meters high.

To calm down while feeling desperate, she creates distance to reset the fight.

 ”…Strong.”

”If you were serious, I’d already be dead more than ten times.”

He tries hard to control his breathing while keeping a calm face.

Elsewhere, all warriors except Sven have been defeated. Now, tired and hurt, Sven swings his sword with his back against the wall.

 ”Impressive, Mr. Kian.”

Linca stepped forward with her left foot and pulled back her right hand like drawing a bow.

”It seems I need to hurt you badly. Please forgive me.”

 ”……”

The last scream came from beyond the courtyard.

Sven was stabbed many times by the warrior monks and died.

His arms and legs were cut off, and finally, his head was chopped off like the others.

Shadow warriors who killed the Wolfmen moved smoothly around Kian.

Linca kept her eyes on Kian and only moved her mouth.

 ”Surrender.”

”Why should I, who is winning, surrender?”

 ”……? ──────!?”

A fierce power that seemed to blow away the bloody wind was released.

Linca saw the warrior monks with oni masks around her looking up at the sky.

Countless needle-like things fell from above Kian’s head, turning the ground at Linca’s feet into a bed of needles.

Stepping back quickly, Sarah, whose face had turned red, silently appeared in front of Kian.

 ”I’m sorry, I’m late.”

 ”No.”

 ”…Ms. Sarah…”

”Hello, Ms. Linca. You’re not surprised that I’m alive.”

 ”……”

 Linca’s face showed regret,

but she didn’t seem to want to leave.

”Hehehe. ──It seems you need help, Linca.”

 ”────” “……What? Who is it?”

In front of Kian, whose eyes were wide, a strange magic power that made his back feel cold appeared.

An uncomfortable energy wrapped around the cold air.

The smell of a unique perfume drifted in the air.

Next to Linca in the air, a girl with short silver hair and strange eyes appeared.

Her strange eyes were blue and yellow.

A feeling of unease that couldn’t be put into words was felt.

 ”Christophora.”

 Sarah’s eyes widened.

The girl with the strange eyes laughed with her mouth wide open.

”It’s an all-out war. Come on, let’s dance. The stars are so beautiful tonight.”
