*Kent’s perspective
Two lovely figures in neat skirts are swaying right in front of me. The first is my wife Milly, and the other is my trusted advisor and her mother, Ms. Lila.
I’m in my office handling important king duties, but their graceful movements, especially since one is the Chancellor and in charge, are making it hard for me to focus.
”Ah, Mother-in-law. You’re so elegant that I can’t concentrate on work──”
As soon as I said that, the faces of the women, including my mother-in-law in her smart uniform, suddenly changed.
”Your Majesty Kent!? I-Is this a big problem? Chancellor Lila, this is a serious issue, right? Should we declare an emergency?”
”Defense Minister, this is a big deal. We need to act fast.”
All the ministers in charge of different departments were there, and everyone was concerned.
”As the Finance Minister, I say that if Your Majesty Kent’s needs aren’t met, the economic impact will be huge. Chancellor Lila, we should quickly assist Your Majesty Kent.”
Helga, who’s now the country’s Treasurer, was already adjusting her uniform and giving advice to her mother-in-law.
”I agree with Finance Minister Helga. As the Trade and Industry Minister, I think if we delay even a second in this serious situation, it could affect businesses. We should act fast.”
Layla, who oversees private businesses, was ready to help, looking determined.
”I agree with Trade and Industry Minister Layla. If businesses slow down, many projects will be delayed. We should act quickly.”
Seema, who handles public works, was ready to join, looking just as concerned.
”It’s not just about businesses, but if the king doesn’t lead by example with the ‘Build and Grow’ policy, our education efforts will suffer. Chancellor, decide quickly!”
Nannie, the Education Minister, was looking ready to assist.
”I agree with Education Minister Nannie. Without people, we can’t improve food production.”
Oliv, the Food Development Minister, looked at me with the same eager eyes as the others.
”Then, let’s decide this. Since this is a serious situation, we’ll pause government work for now. Everyone who agrees we should help Your Majesty Kent, raise your hand.”
Everyone raised their hands right away.
”It’s unanimous. To avoid this serious problem, we’ll all work together to assist Your Majesty Kent. This will be our top priority.”
Once my mother-in-law agreed, everyone in the room rushed toward me at my desk.
Even though it’s a lively situation with all these strong, capable women, this happens often lately, so I’m not surprised.
It’s also my duty as king to support the ministers who work hard and feel stressed.
”Today, I’ll start with my mother-in-law──”
I chose my mother-in-law from the group. She’s Milly’s mother and my main wife’s parent. Since I spend a lot of time with her every day, her skin looks healthy, and she’s so youthful she could be Milly’s sister.
”Ahh! Mr. Kent, you’re so kind… ahh!”
She’s as graceful as Milly, but what’s amazing is her talent. As a leader, she manages the Margrave South District perfectly.
”What do you wish for as a reward?”
I gently touch her shoulder while she sits on my chair.
”P-please… I want to feel closer to you…”
She’s been excited since I started talking to her.
Half-adjusted, her posture—more confident than any young woman’s—shows she’s ready for more.
Known as the “Strict Leader” to others, she becomes very warm only with me.
But I’m the only one who sees this side of her.
