Volume 14 Chapter 69 Extra: Records Of The Incorrigible King’s Journeys

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

”Regarding Sir Berge, the son of Your Lordship… During a special class on imperial studies, he was reading a certain book.”

Nannie, who works in the Education department, handed me a book.

When I read the title on the cover, it said, *The Rise of the King Hero: The Real Image of King Kent*.

This is one of the books recently published about my actions, which have been a hot topic lately.

”Did Berge really read such a questionable book?”

Milly took the book from Nannie and flipped through it, trembling.

When I was gifted this book by the author, I remembered the version of me in it was portrayed as a saintly, righteous man, full of honor and empathy.

If this book survives for future generations, I’m sure I’ll be judged very differently from how I am now.

”Ah, this book… I allowed it to be published, so I have no objections. I’m the type to let people publish what they want.”

”I understand Your Lordship’s intentions, but I can’t let Sir Berge read a book full of lies… Lady Miriallia, what do you think?”

 ”Y-Yes!?”

Milly, who had been turning the pages with trembling hands, looked up in surprise.

The contents seemed to shock her deeply.

In the book, I was described as someone who never let desires cloud my judgment and was willing to sacrifice myself for the people and my comrades.

In reality, I do have the resolve to protect my country, but at its core, it’s all about protecting my wife, mistress, and children.

If you ask if I’d protect a complete stranger, even stretching the interpretation, it’s only for my own citizens.

I have no plans to protect strangers from other countries.

However, I’ll make an exception for beautiful women.

”Kent… Do you really think a 3-year-old Berge was reading this book?”

Milly asked, her face filled with worry, like a true mother.

Milly, who treated Berge as her own son, was also a very concerned Education mom.

To give Berge, who had just turned 3, the best education, I’d assigned him top instructors: Nannie for vast knowledge, Lila (my mother-in-law) for political science, Garvey and Kondrad for military studies, Giuliana for swordsmanship, and Carlamia for magic.

”Well, Berge is at an age where he’s curious about everything, so maybe he’s just exploring.”

Since he’s my first child, I believe Berge’s growth as my legitimate son will shape my future parenting.

As a father, I hope he doesn’t become a womanizer like me, but instead aims to be the ideal king described in that book.

”Nannie! Stop the publication of this book! Take it away from Berge! It’s terrible if he’s influenced by this false image of Kent! Kent rose to power by pleasing women! That’s the truth!”

Well, I do admit I’ve charmed many women, but…

Isn’t that a bit harsh on your husband?

The Margrave South District has made more progress in women’s rights than other countries. Promotions are based on ability, not gender, so there are actually more female bureaucrats.

Both genders follow the same curriculum from a young age, and those who excel can skip grades, regardless of gender.

Women can even become Chancellor here, and there are policies strongly supporting them.

I’m proud that Margrave South District is a country that truly supports women.

 ”It’s true I’m a womanizer, but…”

”Because of this book, I can’t sleep, worried Berge will grow up with no interest in women! Kent, this book is dangerous! It could harm the foundation of Margrave South District! It must be banned and collected immediately!”

It seemed my lawful wife had a different perspective compared to ordinary mothers.

How could a mother recommend such content to her child?

Berge must have a tough time with a mother like that.

”Ahem, ahem. Milly, the book misrepresents me, but Berge must learn to care for the people…”

”If we don’t follow Your Lordship’s policies, I fear for Sir Berge’s future! I support Lady Miriallia’s proposal and want to present this book, which accurately records Your Lordship’s deeds, to Sir Berge!”

Nannie handed me the book she’d hidden in her bosom.
