Volume 3 Chapter 130-3 Quest: Nameless Asura III

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Kian used his Misty Magic Sword to push his opponent back one step. Then, he quickly shot a wind blade at Barghest, who was trying to protect Colinna’s back.

 ’Shura, don’t worry about it!’

 ”────!”

No──was that what he wanted to say?

Shura ignored Jibril’s voice and jumped in front of the wind blade, shielding Barghest.

Kian kept attacking with rapid strikes from his magic sword, then readied the Misty Magic Sword at his waist.

 (Secret Technique)

 ’Shuraa!’

 ”────!”

 (Pursuit of the Shadow!)

 One step.

 He kicked the white earth.

 Two steps.

He scattered the snow, speeding up like the wind.

 Three steps.

He aimed straight for Shura’s neck.

 ”────…”

 The inevitable slash came.

Shura tried to resist, using ‘Penetration’ to dodge.

But the Misty Magic Sword canceled out his ability and extended its reach.

The 2-meter blade sliced through Shura’s neck, sending his head flying.

Kian deflected the blade and cut Jibril’s magic tool in half.

Without stopping, he spread his magic swords like wings and took his 4th step.

* * *

 ’Kian, up above!’

Another warning came from the ‘glasses,’ one of many by now.

If she weren’t there, Kian would likely be dead twice over.

Kian rolled to dodge a silver flash falling from above.

 ”…”

Changing direction during Pursuit of the Shadow shattered his ankle, leaving it useless. So, he rolled down the slope, jammed Windsong Blade into the ground, and struggled to his feet.

 ”────”

A new enemy appeared right in front of him.

She was a woman with black hair and an oni mask, wearing pure white monk robes that blended with the snow.

Her long hair, brown arms, and neck stood out against the white.

 Could she be Azraelian?

She held a sword with many holes in it.

Kian checked his magic sword, still in his hand, then watched as the woman jumped back and grabbed Barghest’s scruff.

Barghest looked down at Colinna and whispered something, but the woman shook her head and knocked his War Mace away.

 ”────”

Barghest gritted his teeth and disappeared with a short-range teleportation.

Kian looked up the slope and saw Barghest teleporting upward.

 (‘Domain’…!)

He kicked the ground with his uninjured foot, sliding up the slope like a bat, chasing Barghest.

 ”…!”

 The ‘domain’ was negated.

 Was this a different user’s ‘domain’──?

He glared at the Azraelian woman who appeared in front of him.

She swung her high-pitched magic sword, closing the gap and slashing at his shoulder.

 Sparks flew.

 Heavily impacted.

 They grappled violently.

The woman held the high ground, pressing him down.

Kian bared his teeth, using his vampire strength to knock her away.

But she teleported backward repeatedly and disappeared.

He redeployed his ‘domain’ again, leaping up the slope to the ancient temple’s roof.

There, Sarah was cornered between the Wolfmen woman and the Azraelian woman, deeply wounded by the hole-filled sword.

 ”Sarah──!”

 ”Tch””……!”

Kian moved at an unprecedented speed, rivaling a High Warlord, blocking a strike aimed at Sarah’s head with his Misty Magic Sword.

 ”Yah!”

Sarah, injured on her right shoulder, side, and thigh, attacked the Azraelian woman from behind Kian with her left hand.

The two women retreated instantly, then faced Kian, weapons ready.

 ”Can you stand?”

”I’m fine. I can still fight.”

Sarah responded while healing herself, but her right shoulder, possibly nerve-damaged, wouldn’t move immediately.

Having been drained by Linca before, she knew negative effects lingered despite her super regeneration.

Their strongest fighter was now weakened.

The enemy, however, was almost unharmed.

The Wolfmen woman’s technique and the Azraelian woman’s magic sword had unclear effects.

 ”…”

Sarah raised her Shamshir and stood beside Kian.

On the other hand, Kian cleared his mind, holding the Windsong Blade in front and hiding the Misty Magic Sword behind him.

Behind them, countless voices from time itself rose.

Kian sensed many presences climbing the slope without looking away from the enemy.

 10, 20… no, more.

 Reinforcements, probably.

Jibril’s tactics, throwing in backup at the crucial moment.

But the Wolfmen and Azraelian women reacted to the voices, slowly retreating.

When they saw Kian and Sarah wouldn’t chase, they jumped high into the air.

 ”Grab on!”

 A dragonfly dove rapidly.

Barghest’s face peeked from its body, lowering a rope.

The women grabbed it, jumping onto the dragonfly’s back.
