Volume 3 Chapter 137 The Flower That Blooms Proudly II

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

The northern marshlands were so cold that bits of snow still remained in some places.

As evening came, a cold wind blew down from the mountains and into the wetlands.

After removing the Silver Ice armor, which could change the air’s temperature, Kian couldn’t stay warm. At Linca’s suggestion, he stayed in the cave to continue his full-body hair removal.

The meat dish prepared earlier had already gone cold outside.

While looking up at the sky, now turning purple, Kian stood inside the cave on a rocky bed, holding Linca’s hand.

The bed was covered with a white mat and blanket. Linca had likely brought them with the help of a shikigami.

(If I remove too much hair, Sarah will notice… but it’s probably too late.)

With that thought, Kian took off his inner shirt.

As he undressed, Linca watched closely, just as he had expected.

Since both of them could see well at night, they didn’t light any lamps.

The soft light of dusk came in through the cave entrance, but only dimly lit the bed where Kian stood.

”Where should I put my shirt?”

 ”……”

 ”Linca?”

 ”Huh? Oh. Um, your shirt?”

”Yeah. I can’t leave it lying around. It would bother me.”

Kian carefully folded his shirt and held it out.

Linca took it, looking down with damp eyes.

 ”P… put it over here.”

 ”Oh, okay.”

(Is she okay? Her eyes look scary.)

 ”Sir Kian.”

 ”Yes?”

”I still need to… you still need to, um, do it inside me ninety-nine more times, right?”

”Yes. That’s what the magic contract says. After ninety-nine… times, the control will end. If you’re worried about, you know, pregnancy, we can delay the ‘intimate’ mark. It’s also okay to do it outside.”

”No, it’s fine. If I use ‘Penetration,’ all the fluid disappears anyway. So, doing it inside is better.”

”Do you feel disgusted or anything? This is only for magic. If you want, I’ll follow your requests.”

”Are you really, truly doing this just for magic?”

 ”Huh?”

Kian frowned. Linca quickly shook her head and smiled like she was trying to hide something.

”No, never mind. Forget I said anything.”

 ”…? Okay.”

”After all, Sir Kian, you do have a very nice body.”

Linca stepped closer, her smile calm and soft.

Even though the cave was still cold, the air around them suddenly felt warmer.

A soft natural scent, like a clean body rather than perfume, drifted around.

Without using wax or anything, her pale, warm hands touched his shoulder, then slowly moved over his chest, stomach, sides, and hips.

”Oh, o-okay. Sorry. Do you dislike it?”

 ”I don’t dislike it.”

Kian’s face turned red, and he quickly turned away.

Linca moved around in front of him and looked straight into his eyes.

In the dim cave light, their skin almost blended into the air. They stood close, facing each other.

 ”Oh, Sir Kian…”

 ”Yes?”

”What do you think of… my body?”

 ”What?”

Linca didn’t reply. Instead, she activated Penetration.

Her white jacket and tight black dress slipped off and landed softly on the cave floor.

Her face flushed red, and she touched his chest gently with both hands.

”Next time, take magic from me. That’s the reason, right?”

 ”That’s the plan.”

 ”…Yes…”

”But… didn’t you just lose your virginity this morning?”

”I’ve already recovered. My body is fine now. W-what I mean is… I can’t go against you anymore. I just want to be free from someone like you as soon as I can.”

 ”I see.”

(What’s going on? Am I being tricked somehow?)

Still, Kian knew this woman couldn’t kill him.

If she wanted to protect her country’s family, her only real choices were to betray Kian and help Jibril catch him alive, or kill him—though that would ruin any chance of Jibril’s side returning home.

Kian thought:

I can’t read her feelings. I should be careful.

 ”Sir Kian…”

Linca lowered her eyes and untied the white underwear holding her chest.

When the knot came loose, her breasts shifted slightly and looked fuller.

She used Penetration again—this time, her bra and dark underwear dropped softly onto her dress.

 ”…I feel lonely.”

 ”Eh?”

”I… I probably can’t go home anymore. My father and mother would be angry that I attacked Sir Jibril. They’d say I hurt the Tsai family’s future. My younger brother, who’s a merchant, will become the next family head.”

 ”You have a brother?”

”Yes. Just like you, Sir Kian.”

Linca smiled gently, her lips bare of color. Her white teeth showed, and her face looked full of hard-to-read emotion.

”Because of you… I hurt Sir Jibril.”

”I’m sorry. But I was just trying to live. I didn’t expect you to attack Jibril, but I used my words to create a chance.”

 ”I’ll never forgive you.”

(Am I about to be killed!?)

Kian tensed. But Linca didn’t move toward him.

She just dropped her hands from her chest and stood still.

Her cheeks were red, as if warmed by the cave’s dark air.

Vampires give off a kind of scent to attract others.

As Kian changed more into a vampire, his sweat began to carry something that affected women.

Linca should have been able to resist it, but she didn’t seem to mind Kian’s presence at all.

(She’s probably feeling unstable after being left by Jibril. Of course she is… He was her childhood friend. And now, even she calls herself ‘trash.’)

Kian didn’t know much about her parents, but if they were cold enough to reject her for the family’s sake, then she likely had nowhere to return.

When Jibril came back, Linca would have very few choices left.

She might offer Kian to Jibril in exchange for her family’s safety.

Kian had felt unstable when he was exiled too, but Linca—being older—might feel even worse.

”You merged with a Wraith, so your body’s time is frozen. You’re twenty-six, physically in your prime. If you don’t give up, you can still return to Azrael someday.”

 ”Someday? When is that?”

 ”After Jibril dies?”

”How many years would that take? By then, my friends will all be gone. I’ll still be young. Alone.”

 ”I’ll be here.”

Kian grabbed Linca’s shoulder without thinking.

She didn’t pull away. She looked at him quietly.

”I’ll take responsibility. I’ll stay with you. I’ll remember you. So don’t give up. We’ll try something else first. Maybe… maybe we offer me to Jibril—”

”Hmph. Offer you to Sir Jibril? You’re serious?”

”If we’re talking about a real way to help you return, that might be it. Unless you rise in power and stand equal to Jibril in the West.”

”Huh…? Well, maybe. If that happens, in a different way, I might be able to return.”

”See? Don’t give up. There are still many roads.”

 Kian spoke with care.

 Linca nodded.

 ”That is true.”
