Later, in the bathtub, their connection didn’t stop.
Kian held her from behind, the water hiding their movements but not the feeling.
Linca spread her legs openly beneath the water, her body soft and vulnerable.
Their tongues met again, pushing past each other in quiet kisses.
His fingers traced a sensitive spot, moving slowly and gently.
Linca gasped softly, overwhelmed by the gentle touch. Warmth spread quietly through her, blending with the water.
Kian cupped her gently, showing care with every motion.
”I want us to be together forever,” he whispered quietly.
”N-no…” she breathed.
”You won’t say no. I’ll be with you always, close and steady.”
He touched her gently once more, making her face soften with feeling.
Her body surrendered completely to him.
The soft sound of water pouring masked their quiet connection.
Kian’s fingers grazed her skin, sending gentle waves through her.
She shivered and relaxed completely, lost to the moment.
He then put his tongue softly inside her ruined ears.
Linca accepted it with a face showing quiet pleasure.
”This is the best place. I will never let it go.”
A sticky feeling finally held onto Linca.
It was the moment when a strong feeling started for a woman he did not care about before.
No, maybe he already started to care about her before—but now, it didn’t matter.
Kian gently touched Linca’s chest and then felt strong feelings again.
* * *
After that, Kian washed Linca’s body clean and left the bath.
Even after leaving the bath and putting on clothes again, Linca still looked dreamy and tired from the strong feelings, so Kian helped dress her.
It was a little trouble, but also kind of cute.
He held her close and went back to the entrance, took the shoes, greeted the lady in charge, and left the bathhouse.
Linca stayed quiet, curling up softly in Kian’s arms.
”Oh, the payment—”
”I already paid it.”
”No, I mean the payment for the succubus’s scales.”
”I paid for that too.”
”S-sorry.”
In the square where the bathhouse helpers held torches, Linca stopped and said sorry.
When asked, “Shall we rest somewhere?” she shook her head and said, “I will show you the hideout.”
”Mmm…♡”
”Are you still feeling it?”
”N-no. But the happy feeling stays… It’s a little late to say, but it’s really nice to be with a kind man like this.”
”It’s a natural thing for making babies. So, it should feel good.”
”…In lessons, they said it can sometimes hurt or feel bad.”
”That can happen if two people don’t match well. I’ve even made some workers cry and got kicked out of some places.”
”…So, Sir Kian and I… after all…”
”Three times inside and one hand service, so that means 93 and 3 quarters left.”
Kian took a water bottle from inside his coat and drank it fast.
When he asked if she wanted some, Linca said, “Thank you,” and took the bottle with both hands.
”The day will change soon. How far is the hideout?”
”It’s about 200 meters ahead on a quiet street.”
”Do we need to clean up first?”
”No, I already cleaned it. It’s a little small, but there is a bed.”
”Then, let’s rest. Lots happened since morning. We should be careful not to get dirty again, so no more close moments.”
”Yes, that’s right.”
Linca nodded and walked ahead.
Her body looked like it was getting better.
Her steps were still a little shaky, but Kian watched around carefully, worried about surprise attacks or being followed.
They climbed the hill from the square and turned right quickly.
They went into a quiet street with many stairs.
Linca walked straight through the dark without stopping, and soon a small house appeared.
”Surprising. I thought it would be more broken down.”
”The old owner was a knight who worked for Lord Oswald, but he died in the Battle of Izerland Fortress.”
”It was probably me or Owl who did it. After beating Oswald, we finished off the rest of his group.”
Linca took a key from her pocket and, even in the dark, put it into the door lock.
”It used to belong to the Izerland government, but Princess Maribel probably thought it was too far north to manage. Soon after, it was sold, and I bought it.”
”How much did it cost?”
”About 50 gold coins from Franz Kingdom. For a house in Ramsey and how it is, it was cheap. Taxes come later, but still a good buy.”
”Are you maybe rich?”
”Well, kind of normal.”
Linca opened the door and let Kian go inside.
”Just so you know, I was a top warrior monk.”
”I see.”
The house inside was a little dusty but mostly clean.
At least the ceiling and floors were not broken.
The first floor was a guest room. Two golems stood in the back to keep out bad people.
They were armored fighters holding eastern weapons—a katana.
Linca put the golems to sleep and told Kian to go upstairs.
”This looks like a lot of work.”
”I’m a little picky. I want to get rid of bugs on the bed. Please wait a bit.”
The second floor had the old owner’s things—goblets and card decks on the wall.
In the middle was a small bed with an incense burner and an eastern-style light by the pillow.
These were probably Linca’s things.
”My money in Azrael will soon be passed on. But the money here is under a fake name, so no one will take it.”
”You seem to live better than me, who has no home.”
Linca froze the bed to kill bugs, then quickly melted it to dry it.
”Oh, that’s nice. Should we live here together?”
”No, no. I have my job as an Adventurer. I’m registered in East End.”
”That’s right.”
Linca clapped the bed and sat down.
At the same time, the incense burner lit up, sending up white smoke.
The soft light from the eastern lamp also turned on, lighting the room gently.
”Shall we rest?”
”Yeah.”
They took off their clothes and shoes.
They got on the narrow bed and held each other close.
Since it was cold in Ramsey, hugging was good for warmth.
In the dark, Linca, now wearing a simple dress, pressed her chest against Kian as he lay on his back.
Her soft shape was clear and firm.
Kian looked at the eastern beauty, who breathed quietly when their bodies touched, with a worried face.
”Taking another bath would be a big trouble.”
”I know. But it’s cold if we don’t hold each other more… like this.”
Linca moved close to Kian’s right shoulder.
She pulled up the thin blanket and gently wrapped her right hand and leg around him.
A nice smell filled the air, almost making him lose focus.
”…How do I explain this to Sarah?”
”You could say I’m a doll with no brain, right? She’s very logical. If I have no will, she might accept me as an ally.”
”But I worry Linca will find out I’m not empty inside.”
”She won’t find out. How would she check if my brain is okay? Would she open my head?”
”That would be horrible. I hope not.”
”More, I worry about Sir Umar. He and Sir/Mr. Jibril might never forgive me for betraying them. Even if Sir/Mr. Kian says I’m just a puppet, Umar might try to hurt me.”
”I won’t let that happen. I will protect you.”
”Thank you. But I think it’s safer to stay in the cave now until I leave Sir Umar.”
”But if we go back, we will face messengers from the Hairkin Races council. I want you with me.”
Kian said this, and Linca closed her eyes, thinking.
”You will talk with the Beastmen Alliance, right? Princess Maribel didn’t give any deal? Lady Eleonora won’t come in time?”
”The talks will fail, and when the elite forces come, maybe we can join them. But if we arrive then, the talks will definitely fail.”
We must be careful to keep Eleonora and the others safe.
Linca’s help is very important.
”If you tell me where the talks are, I will hide and wait nearby. If I stay quiet, even Ms. Sarah won’t see me. It would be hard even for the Wolfmen.”
”That’s good. It would also help if you find and catch the thorn monster near the swamp.”
”I’m good at finding things. I will try to catch it soon.”
”By the way, where is the charm your family made to seal the Jiangshi?”
”It’s under the bed… wait a moment.”
Linca turned and moved her body, showing her back.
Her butt, wrapped in a white dress, stuck out.
Through the cloth, black string panties could be seen. It looked like she meant to show it.
”Um… found it. Here.”
She took out a small box from under the bed and opened it to take out the charm.
Kian sat up and looked closer at the charm Linca held.
”Hm. There is old eastern writing all over this. Is it like runes in our language?”
”No, not like that.”
”I wonder if it would work on me too?”
When Kian asked this—
Suddenly, a woman’s scream came from far away, sharp and loud like tearing silk.
