”Today, I’ll be performing the treatment while you’re sitting,” Haruto said calmly.
”Uh-huh,” Rin replied softly.
She carefully unfastened the magic tape holding her treatment gown, revealing her upper back. Rin didn’t show any embarrassment or nervousness.
”I’ll start by massaging from your shoulders down to your shoulder blades,” Haruto explained.
”That feels nice,” Rin murmured quietly.
Since Haruto was behind her, Rin seemed less aware of his gaze. Perhaps she had accepted it was better than the awkwardness of handling this herself.
”The inflammation is improving, thanks to Osamu’s care. After today’s session, you should be nearly healed,” Haruto said.
”Really? Already after just two sessions?” Rin’s eyes widened.
”Yes, but,” Haruto continued, “Ayase-senpai, you’ll still need to come every month.”
”Why? You just said it’s almost healed.”
”Because once it’s healed, you’ll push yourself again, right?”
”Maybe…” Rin’s voice was softer now.
”That’s for sure. If you keep coming regularly, I won’t let your condition get bad again. Now, I’ll start on your back.”
Rin spoke naturally, but there was a subtle hint she expected more. Haruto caught it and said lightly, “Ah, uh… thank you! Then I’ll come every month.”
Changing the topic, Haruto asked, “By the way, is your gym business doing well?”
”Um… I think it’s fine,” Rin answered as Haruto’s fingers moved carefully.
”How many employees do you have?”
”Employees… well… Haruto-kun, that’s…”
Haruto’s hands moved slowly, from her back toward her chest. The soft skin there was clear beneath his touch.
So soft… he thought, lingering for a moment.
”Haruto-kun? …Please, don’t touch too much…”
”This is necessary,” Haruto said quietly. “So, how many employees?”
”There are… five…” Rin’s voice was quiet.
”Five. That sounds reassuring.”
Rin’s breathing became uneven, her body relaxing against him. She seemed distant, barely hearing Haruto’s voice.
Could she really be that innocent? he wondered. At her age, that would be rare.
This feels so good… just a little more… it’s okay…
Rin’s words grew softer, her mind far away.
Suddenly, her body gave a slight tremble. She went limp and slowly slid down.
Haruto caught her gently and laid her on the treatment table. A faint scent caught his attention.
The lower part of her gown was damp.
I… I did it, he thought quietly.

• Rin – Second-year member of the swimming club; currently experiencing a physical problem that Haruto may help solve.
• Osamu – Male. Ryuichi’s father and the director of Chiba University Hospital. He uses his wealth and power to cover up Ryuichi’s misdeeds, though he has scolded him in the past.
