Chapter 180 Degree Front Split Flexibility
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Yuna had clearly been keeping up with her daily flexibility exercises.
Her body moved with the kind of ease and suppleness that only came from consistent effort.
Recognizing this, Haruto made a decision—to make full use of that flexibility in her treatment today.
”Doctor, what do you mean by ‘using flexibility’?” Yuna tilted her head, puzzled.
”Since your daily stretches have made your body so pliant, we can use that to our advantage,” Haruto explained. “By guiding your movements and combining them with adjustments, we can help your body maintain alignment long-term.”
”Is that even possible…?”
”It is! Just leave it to me!”
This time, unlike previous sessions, Haruto knew he wouldn’t be able to fix everything in one go.
It would require careful, step-by-step corrections—tuning her posture one distortion at a time.
Still, as a therapist who also struggled to fully suppress his curiosity, he found himself imagining how certain adjustments might look—especially in more dynamic positions. For example, a full 180-degree split. With that image in mind, he decided to guide the treatment accordingly.
”Alright then, let’s start with your usual flexibility routine. I’ll adjust your posture as you go.”
”Okay, I understand.”
”Sasahira-san, could you wait in the reception room for a while?”
”Of course!”
Since the door to the treatment area could only be opened by Haruto or Harue, Haruto personally walked Sasahira out, then returned to the treatment room.
”Alright, let’s begin. Please remove your bathrobe.”
”R-right… understood.”
”What kind of stretch do you usually begin with?”
”Um… like this…”
Yuna turned her back to Haruto, sat cross-legged on the floor, and brought the soles of her feet together. She then bent forward, pressing her upper body down toward the floor.
With her back to him, Haruto couldn’t see much, so he focused on her spine—just as planned.
”This position will help us realign your spine. Please stay just like that.”
”Okay.”
Haruto gently placed his hands along her back, slowly tracing her spine from neck to waist, applying subtle pressure to guide her posture.
There wasn’t any major misalignment, but he took his time, mindful of the precision required for the next steps.
”Alright. That’s it for the spine.”
”What’s next?”
”Continue with your regular stretches. I’ll follow along and treat the areas that need adjusting.”
”Okay. The next one is…”
This time, she sat with both legs extended straight out in front and leaned forward into a seated bend.
It was a common position—easy to visualize and easy to treat.
But for Haruto, it didn’t particularly stand out. He waited for her to move on.
”Can I go to the next?”
”Yes, please do.”
She shifted again—this time extending her left leg to the side and reaching over toward her foot.
Then she repeated the same motion on the right side.
And finally, she opened both legs wide and leaned forward, lowering her chest between them.
A perfect 180-degree split.
Her posture was controlled and precise—clearly the result of daily practice.
”We’ll focus on the pelvic area now,” Haruto said, maintaining a calm tone. “This flexibility is perfect for the therapy. Please hold that position.”
”Got it—ah!”
”Are you alright?”
”Y-you just touched my… Isn’t this supposed to be for my pelvis?”
”It is,” Haruto answered calmly. “This is part of proper pelvic realignment. You can trust me.”
”O-okay…”
In front of Haruto was her lower back and hips—firmly held in the stretched position.
Despite her legs being wide apart, her body remained composed and closed in all the important places.
The muscles around her hips were tight and steady, the result of both tension and control.
(So even in a split like this, things don’t just… open up.)
He remembered, vaguely, how during his previous life he’d seen Olympic gymnasts performing on TV.
Back then, he’d imagined that their bodies, stretched in dramatic poses, must’ve been… different somehow.
But seeing it up close now, he realized something simple and obvious—bodies don’t work the way he used to imagine.
Even in extreme positions, the body doesn’t just “open” like a diagram. It remains composed, guarded. Protected.
(I thought it would look different up close…)
He could force things further with targeted massage to the gluteal muscles, but… the real therapy still lay ahead.
There were still more adjustments to be made—especially around the hip joints.
Haruto took a breath, and continued the treatment with steady hands.
