”Sasahira-san, thank you for waiting,” Haruto said gently.
”Doctor! How’s Yuna doing?” Sasahira-san asked, her voice tight with worry.
”Sasacchi!” Yuna’s voice rang out as she dashed out from behind Haruto and threw her arms around Sasahira-san. The relief in her voice said everything. Sasahira-san immediately hugged her back, tears streaming down her cheeks.
”Yuna… I’m so relieved. Thank goodness you’re alright,” she whispered, holding her tightly.
”Thank you for bringing me here, Sasacchi,” Yuna said, her voice muffled against her friend’s shoulder.
Haruto stood nearby, watching the scene with a soft smile. Whether as a doctor who saved lives, or as the quirky manager of a massage parlor, Haruto Osamu found peace in watching others find happiness.
”Doctor, thank you so much,” Sasahira-san said, bowing deeply.
”Ah… yes, truly, thank you,” Yuna added, her cheeks flushed as she looked down.
”Please, raise your head,” Haruto said with a warm chuckle. “I’m happy I could help.”
”With this, we can finally decline tomorrow’s offer,” Sasahira-san said with a sigh of relief.
”Decline? You mean the interview? Where is it being held?” Haruto asked curiously.
”Um… actually, it’s here,” she replied, pulling an envelope from her bag and showing him the contents. On the paper was a clear note of the date, time, and location for the interview.
”Can’t you just refuse over the phone?” he asked.
”Since it’s a formal offer through the agency, it’s hard to cancel last-minute without showing up,” she explained.
”I see…” Haruto paused, then lowered his voice. “Actually, there’s something about Yuna-san’s condition that I need to explain…”
”Huh!? W-what condition?” Sasahira-san blinked in surprise.
”W-wait, Doctor! Are you really bringing that up here!?” Yuna protested, turning red.
”Hm? But Sasahira-san should know, right? It’s important,” Haruto replied with a tilted head.
”Y-yes, that’s true, but… there’s a better way to say it!” Sasahira-san said, flustered.
The address on the paper was in a quiet rural area, not far from Haruto’s own neighborhood. There was no sign of an actual office, and the whole thing smelled suspicious. But since it was an official request from the agency, Haruto decided not to stir trouble by saying too much. Instead, he calmly shifted the conversation.
”What Yuna-san might be experiencing,” he began carefully, “is a rare physical condition. It’s not dangerous, but it can affect certain reactions. Many don’t realize it until much later.”
”There’s really a condition like that…? Even as a woman, I had no idea,” Sasahira-san said, her expression filled with concern.
”Yes. Many think it’s just normal discomfort and never go to the hospital,” he explained. “It’s easy to miss.”
”And to think I gave her advice about tampons… I’m so sorry, Yuna,” she murmured.
”It’s okay, Sasacchi!” Yuna said, shaking her head. “It’s not something most people know about.”
”If you’d like to consider treatment,” Haruto said, “I can refer you to a neighboring clinic. It’s entirely up to you, of course.”
”I’ll need to talk with the agency first,” Sasahira-san replied, “but… is it alright if I get back to you tomorrow?”
”Of course. Take your time. There’s no need to rush,” Haruto nodded.
With that, Yuna’s checkup was complete, and the two women quietly left to return to their hotel for the night.

The next day, Haruto was scheduled to visit the production company listed on the paper, planning to decline the offer in person. After that, he would return to the store.
”…Still, something’s bothering me about that company,” he muttered.
He sat down at the front desk and typed the address into the reception computer. The map loaded quickly, and as he zoomed in…
”…Yeah, this is definitely suspicious,” he said.
The location was in a winter resort area, owned by wealthy patrons who frequented the nearby ski grounds. It didn’t look like the kind of place where official office work was done.
Haruto leaned back in his chair, eyes narrowing. Something didn’t add up.

• Yuna – Female. A famous idol. She has well-defined features and is described as idol-like in appearance. She is a member of a popular idol group known for intense dance and singing performances. She is considering an AV job, which is unusual for a current popular idol. Her relationship with Haruto is that of a customer seeking assistance.
• Osamu – Male. Ryuichi’s father and the director of Chiba University Hospital. He uses his wealth and power to cover up Ryuichi’s misdeeds, though he has scolded him in the past.
