Chapter 212 The Younger Generation’s Visit

Haruto’s massage parlor grew busy again thanks to Yuna’s broadcast. But this time, the atmosphere felt different.
”Hello, I’m Ichijou, your therapist today. Nice to meet you,” Ichijou said with a gentle smile.
”H-Hello, nice to meet you,” the customer replied nervously.
”So, you’re here because of swelling in your legs. Is there a specific spot bothering you?” Ichijou asked while checking her legs.
”It’s all over. My legs just swell up a lot,” she said, looking down.
Many women suffer from leg swelling, caused by various reasons—female hormones, menstruation, pregnancy, menopause, and other hormonal changes. Besides that, low muscle tone, coldness, poor blood flow, and irregular eating habits can also make it worse.
”I understand. Usually, I start massaging from the groin down, but since this is your first visit, I’ll focus only on your lower legs today,” Ichijou explained.
”Okay, thank you,” she answered with a small nod.
What was new this time was the number of young customers visiting the parlor. Haruto was pleased but knew he had to gain their trust first.
His method had always been the same—make the customer feel real results. Once they felt the effect, they would start trusting him, even if the massage had a slightly intimate touch.

”Wow, it’s amazing! My legs were so swollen before!” the customer exclaimed happily.
”This time we only massaged your lower legs, so the effect might not last long. But if you try a full leg massage next time, it will last much longer,” Ichijou suggested.
”Got it! I’ll definitely come back!” she smiled.
Slowly, Haruto welcomed more young women who didn’t mind the closer massages. But not all the new visitors were women. The number of male customers was actually higher now. Haruto treated them quickly but with impressive results every time.

”I’m so tired today,” Haruto sighed as he wiped sweat from his brow.
”Good job, Doctor!” Nana cheered.
”Thanks! Nana-chan, I know you’re busy too, but please hang in there a bit longer,” Haruto said, encouraging her.
”I’m fine, I’m actually enjoying this!” Nana smiled.
Right now, posting job ads at Hello Work was impossible. Though they could post listings, the flood of applicants from Yuna’s influence would be overwhelming.
Hello Work was managed by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare, so the paperwork was a hassle. They had to report the results of every interview, and Haruto wasn’t ready to start that process yet.

”By the way, Haru-kun, I heard the massage parlor in front of the station is closing. Did you hear that?” Mom asked casually.
”The one in front of the bookstore?” Haruto checked.
”Yes, yes. The owner is closing because of a bad back,” Mom said.
”I’ve seen them a few times… they seemed pretty old,” Haruto said thoughtfully.
”I think they’re even older than your father,” Mom replied.
”Are they in their 60s, then?” Haruto asked.
Haruto had been thinking about hiring another therapist for his parlor. Many good customers preferred a regular massage without any special abilities.
”It looks like they have a house behind their shop. Maybe I should visit them,” Haruto said.
”Thanks, Mom! I’ll go check it out,” he smiled.
If they were closing because of a bad back, maybe they’d keep working if they had proper treatment. If they joined his parlor, Haruto thought he could help heal their pain.
(Haha, just like Mom always said, “If you want me to heal you, you have to follow my rules!” Looks like things are coming full circle…)

• Yuna – Female. A famous idol. She has well-defined features and is described as idol-like in appearance. She is a member of a popular idol group known for intense dance and singing performances. She is considering an AV job, which is unusual for a current popular idol. Her relationship with Haruto is that of a customer seeking assistance.
• Nana – The one dating Haruto before she goes to Hokkaido.
