Volume 3 Chapter 169 I’m Going To Get Off The Boat ♥
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Inside the dome-shaped shelter, now shrouded in darkness after the sun had set, the air felt heavier and more humid than the wilderness outside. Built as a resting place for the Wolfmen girls, it was already filled with a thick, lingering scent that erased even their subtle fragrances.
”Ahh…” Natra’s soft breath caught in quiet gasps.
Thud, thud—Kian’s steady movements pressed close against her. Natra’s body shifted beneath him, responding to every firm, deliberate motion.
”Mmm… Ahh…” she breathed, pressing her hands against the dome’s curved wall and moving with him. The space forced her hands high above, almost like a standing embrace from behind. From the front, it looked as if a shadow stretched between her legs spread wide. Their height difference meant Natra had to rise on her tiptoes to meet him fully. Each movement pressed against her inside, filling her with a deep, warm sensation.
”Ahh…” she whispered, overwhelmed.
(I love this.)
Kian’s rhythm found her deepest point with careful precision. Warmth spread inside her, filling her completely. The gentle pressure sent waves of comfort racing up her spine and flooding her mind.
(It feels so good, so good, so good…)
”Ahh… Ah…” Her lips parted, soft sighs escaping as her body trembled, craving release as if longing to be connected.
The young swordswoman’s quiet sounds stirred a low, instinctive murmur from the man behind her.
His arm slid around her waist, fingers brushing over her skin with a gentle sound. Just as warmth settled within her, sharper sensations sparked.
”Mm…” His fingers moved carefully, touching her gently but firmly. With Kian close inside, her hips were caught—unable to pull away. His fingers traced slowly, steadying her breath.
”No… Ahh… Too strong…” she gasped.
”You don’t dislike it, do you?” Kian murmured.
”Mm… Uh…” Natra responded softly, matching his rhythm. Her body brushed against his steadily, while his touch pressed her further, making her arch her back dramatically.
The trained body of the seventeen-year-old shivered.
Held close from behind so she couldn’t escape, Natra rose onto her tiptoes and reached her peak. She leaned forward slightly, her breath coming fast as the warmth between them deepened, filling the space with quiet sounds of closeness.
”Nnniii…” she breathed out.
”Oof…” she responded softly.
”Ngu… Haa… Haa…” Her lips were gently taken from behind. A thin thread of breath escaped before his movements resumed with steady urgency.
”Hah… nnn…—right there… Please, right there… I love it… Harder, please…” she whispered, voice trembling but soft.
Natra spread her legs wide, lowering her hips without hesitation. Her body responded eagerly as gentle taps met her skin, and a soft cry escaped. Even the firm touches felt comforting. Tears glistened on her cheeks as she gave in to the warmth of the moment.
The chamber, once echoing soft, quiet sounds—chu-chu, chu-chu—now carried deeper, natural sounds: gentle movements and soft rhythms. It was proof her body had learned Kian’s rhythm perfectly. Her tight space stretched comfortably to hold him just right, air slipping softly inside and making gentle sounds—embarrassing but filled with warmth.
”Again, I’m close…” Natra whispered.
She clenched her teeth as strong hands held her hips and moved with more urgency than before. Her slender body shook with each careful motion, releasing soft traces of warmth.
”I… I’m close…” she moaned quietly.
Pan! Pan! Each gentle tap on her hips made her face twist in both pleasure and shyness. The deep connection pressed warmly inside her, and a faint snap echoed softly.
”Iiii…——nnnnggghhh…” Her hips twitched gently. The connection slipped out briefly but was quickly resumed as her hips were held firmly and the rhythm continued despite her climax.
”O…” she gasped softly.
Her legs stiffened slightly, her back arching.
”Oooh… Oooh…” she breathed.
Then—his warmth was shared deep inside her.
The steady flow filled the space, and a deep calm overwhelmed her mind.
”………”
She went limp, silent and content. Held close from behind, her lips were captured once more. Their kiss was soft and gentle, a quiet exchange of affection resting on her jawline.
Her senses blurred beyond control.
Lost in comfort, Natra pressed her tongue gently against his in return.
”Haa… N…fu… Hapu… Haaah…”
”Fuu, that felt really good,” Kian whispered.
”Me too…” Natra swayed her hips dreamily.
”I felt really good too,” she said softly.
”The day before yesterday, it was tight when I first entered, but now it fits perfectly.”
Slowly, he pulled back. The sight of him withdrawing from her lower body was as raw and natural as if she had just emptied herself. A mixture of their closeness overflowed, whitening her brown inner thighs.
”Ahhh…”
”You’re too sensitive,” he said with a smile.
”B-because Sir Kian is to blame!” she retorted.
”‘Because’? Hehe,” he teased.
”What is it?” she asked.
”No, I just thought you should use words that suit your age.”
”~~~! I’m annoyed! I don’t care about Sir Kian anymore.”
”Sorry, sorry, my bad.”
Holding her close and kissing her gently, Natra felt happy enough to forgive him, pouting but muttering, “Geez…”
She was weak only to him. Maybe that’s what it means to be in love.
As she thought this, the last of his touch fully withdrew from her. She sighed softly as the pressure vanished, leaving an empty space inside.
Looking back at him with a dissatisfied glare, Natra wiggled the round opening left and right.
The place that held him didn’t return to its original shape at all. The secret space, stretched just for Kian, released a cloudy gel—remnants of their closeness—onto the slender, tight back of her thigh.
”The date will change soon,” Natra said firmly.
”Ah…” I nodded quietly.
”We need to cleanse ourselves and get ready to leave,” she added.
”Right, that’s true…” I agreed, feeling the weight of what was coming.
Natra glanced down at the map spread across the bed and the reports from Owl’s spies about enemy movements. She and Rufna had been discussing their odds of victory, but with time still left, they had decided to spend the rest of it in a reckless, intimate way.
When the time came, Natra knew she had to return to her usual self—the first and most loyal servant to Kian.
Using Kian’s hand for support, she rose slowly. Her strong body, which had easily crossed the Great Forest, now trembled from the relentless passion they had shared. A pleasant exhaustion washed over her as Kian led her toward the nearby stream.
* * *
(In the end, I stayed with Natra instead of training with the sword.)
Holding onto the massive leg of Wing Cain, Kian stared at the distant Ramsey fortress with deep regret. His lower body felt strong, and he was glad to face Natra one-on-one after so long, but he still didn’t know how much her strength had grown.
One thing was certain—Natra had become much stronger wielding her magic sword. It made sense, since even before, she was already incredibly powerful with just a plain iron longsword. So, no new skills had appeared, no breakthroughs.
Still, he looked over at Natra flying beside him. She smiled faintly and waved.
Her mood was unusually light today. It was Lee’s job to keep his wife—no, his party member—happy, and for now, it seemed he was doing well. He worried about Sarah and Linca’s reactions, but at least Natra showed no signs of displeasure.
”Natra, we’re descending!” Kian called out.
The wind made it hard to hear, but Natra understood and tugged on Wing Cain’s leg. She had become skilled at steering the massive beast.
They landed in the shadow of the forest near Ramsey. Leaving Wing Cain behind, they moved quietly through the wilderness toward the town street leading to the main gate. Kian glanced at Natra—her long hair was tied into a neat bun with a black ribbon, a style that balanced youthful charm and the dignity of a swordswoman. He liked it.
He thought about how the adults always kept that same hairstyle. It was fun seeing Natra’s hair grow and change, like looking forward to a new look every day.
But the feeling of a date had to end here.
If they could persuade Rufna and the others, the next step would be to meet Owl and formally declare their alliance. Owl would welcome Kian warmly, and from there, they would prepare to push back the enemy without pause.
”Sir Kian,” Natra’s voice broke through his thoughts.
”Hm? What is it?” he asked.
Natra suddenly raised her voice in alarm, pointing toward Ramsey lit by dawn.
”I hear shouting from the town. And clashing steel—like swords hitting each other.”
Hearing it too, Kian focused his enhanced vampire senses.
Within those sharp senses, the unmistakable sound of metal scraping filled the air. Beyond the castle walls, toward the fortress, a red pulse of human life—the prey for vampires—reached him.
”It’s true. People are gathering in the northern district. Do you think it’s just a fight over morning bread?”
”If they’ve pulled swords or knives, it’s more than a scuffle—it’s a riot,” Natra said in disbelief, staring back at the castle walls.
”The gates aren’t even open yet. Should we call a guard and find out what’s happening?”
”That’s a good idea. If Owl’s identity as a vampire is exposed and a bloodbath starts, all our plans from last night will fall apart.”
”It was just theory to convince the Elder Sisters. Losing it won’t be so bad—”
Before she finished, a group standing near the main gate, across the moat’s bridge, spotted Kian and Natra. They shouted loudly.
Natra reached for her magic sword, but Kian stopped her with a hand. “No need to be on guard.”
”That’s the leader of Ramsey’s Adventurer Guild. The others look like heads of the commerce and industry guilds, judging by their badges,” Kian said.
”Why are such important people here?”
”We’ll find out soon.” Kian raised his hand, glowing with silver ice magic, and greeted them. “Good morning. What’s going on?”
The elderly guild leader’s face twisted in distress, and the others looked equally troubled.
”Lord Kian!” the leader said.
”Good morning,” Kian replied calmly.
”This isn’t a time for greetings!” a man with a mustache shouted. He wore a finely embroidered apron and looked like a high-ranking cobbler. His presence carried weight.
”The residents are rioting! They say Lord Owl’s undead soldiers attacked children!”
”Attacked children?” Kian asked.
The guild leader stepped forward. “Last night, twelve children snuck into the Catacombs as a dare. That place holds the bodies Lord Owl controls with Necromancy. All twelve died—throats and stomachs torn apart. My staff confirmed this this morning.”
”The townsfolk demand Lord Owl be removed as guardian of Ramsey. They threaten to destroy the town and castle if he remains.”
”How many are rioting? What about the Knights’ response?”
The guild leader shook his head. “Too many to count. The whole town is uprising, likely fueled by Owl’s heavy taxes under the ‘No Escape’ order. Ramsey’s remaining soldiers can’t hold them back. The castle could fall by noon.”
”And Lord Owl?” Kian asked, looking toward the wide-open castle gates, guarded by none.
”He’s still at the battlefield. I’ve sent messages to the fortress, so they know. But he hasn’t appeared before the residents yet. We think it’s best he stays hidden.”
”What we fear is that when Owl returns, a full battle will erupt. He’s one of Izerland’s Three Master Knights—strong enough to defeat Lord Oswald. He commands undead and hundreds of terrifying Bloodsucking Kinds. If the castle falls and his soldiers are slaughtered, he might unleash a deadly purge on the residents.” The cobbler shook his head gravely. “If that happens, Ramsey is finished. Before the Beastmen arrive, Owl could destroy his own city in fury.”
The guild leader clasped Kian’s hand. “Lord Kian, you are said to be a comrade of Lord Owl. You’ve spoken with him directly.”
”That’s true,” Kian admitted.
”When Owl returns, please try to calm him. Don’t let him fight the residents recklessly. The riots will settle with time. Until then, help him hold back.”
Natra squeezed Kian’s hand tightly. If it were Sarah, she would have told him to refuse. But Natra’s determined gaze met his.
After a moment of thought, Kian faced the guild leaders and spoke.
”I understand. I don’t want Lord Owl to turn Ramsey into a battlefield soaked in blood and become a wanted man across the Franz Kingdom,” Kian said quietly. “Is there a way to enter the castle without being noticed by the residents?”
”Of course. I’ll guide you,” Natra answered firmly.
Kian glanced at Natra, then faced the others. “Please wait for me at the inn. I’ll gather my companions there, and then we’ll head to the castle. Is that acceptable?”
* * *
Rufna, Sarah, Linca, and Serena had clearly sensed something was wrong inside the castle. They waited anxiously in front of the inn for Kian and Natra to return.
When Kian explained the situation, Linca immediately agreed, smiling brightly. “Let’s go right now!”
Rufna and Sarah hesitated, but Rufna finally gave in with a sigh. “Well, I know Owl well enough,” she said, and the four of them set out toward the castle.
”Sir Kian, I will create a barrier around the castle. Since this is the center of the Spiritual Vein, I can make a strong one in half an hour,” Linca said quietly as she stood close to Kian.
Kian bowed his head to the dark-haired beauty. “Sorry, Linca. I’m counting on you.”
”No, it’s nothing,” she replied with a strange, satisfied smile.
Sarah stepped beside Linca, her makeup perfect despite the early morning light.
”Oh, Ms. Sarah, if you don’t want this, why not just go home alone?” Linca teased lightly.
”I never said I don’t want it,” Sarah said firmly. “I just can’t watch my childhood friend jump headfirst into danger.”
”Lord Kian, please forgive me,” the head of the Adventurer Guild said as he approached from ahead.
Kian shook his head. “Don’t worry. Lord Owl is important to Princess Maribel. He’s not someone we can afford to lose.”
”Then why did the princess send Lord Owl to such a fierce battlefield with only a little over a hundred knights?” a shoemaker who had been trailing them asked reasonably.
Kian avoided the question, answering vaguely that it was because of Princess Maribel’s personal feelings toward Owl.
They detoured around the crowded streets and arrived at the castle’s back gate. Long-serving servants and the deputy leader greeted them quickly and guided them inside.
At the gate, Kian parted with Rufna, Sarah, Linca, and Serena. With Natra by his side, he entered the castle’s first floor. The Adventurer Guild leader and others stayed behind at the entrance. Then, accompanied by the old butler, Kian and Natra headed toward Owl’s office.
The office was empty when they arrived. The old butler told them to sit on the sofa and wait for Owl’s return. After an hour of quietly sipping tea, dark rain clouds gathered beyond the balcony.
Suddenly, the atmosphere on the first floor shifted. Owl’s sharp shouting echoed through the entrance.
Following the voices of the Adventurer Guild members, Owl’s presence became clear as he climbed the stairs. The old butler’s polite, “Please wait, Lord Owl,” was met with a harsh, “Shut up!”
Natra rose from the sofa and stood behind Kian like a shadow. Kian stood as well, the clink of his ‘Silver Ice’ armor echoing softly as he faced the office door.
A loud crash shattered the quiet as the hallway’s furnishings were destroyed violently.
Then, the office door burst open. Owl stormed in, his face flushed with rage.
”Mr. Owl, I’m sorry to intrude. Actually, my companions—”
”Kian! Perfect timing! Just perfect!” Owl shouted, cutting him off as he stomped to his desk.
With a flick of his hand, he knocked a mountain of legal documents onto the floor. Feather pens and candlesticks flew through the air, ink splattering over a luxurious carpet worth hundreds of Franz Kingdom gold coins.
Furious, Owl kicked the desk, smashing it against the balcony door and shattering both. The force shook the entire office, and books tumbled from the shelves in a messy heap.
”Aaaaaah!” Owl shouted as he stepped onto the broken desk.
If anyone else had stood there, they would have been badly hurt, but the wood groaned under Owl’s weight before snapping in two.
”Hey, Mr. Owl,” Kian said cautiously as he approached the raging man.
Owl hung his head over the broken desk, quietly shedding tears.
”Huh, Mr. Owl!?” Kian blinked in surprise.
”Hey, Kian,” Owl whispered.
”Y-yes?”
”What was all my effort for?” Owl’s voice was heavy with exhaustion. “I was ordered by the princess to guard Oswald’s province, which I couldn’t care less about. I’ve been controlling useless residents and incompetent subordinates, barely holding the frontlines until now…”
The feathers on Owl’s wings, which had swollen during his earlier rage, now drooped almost lifelessly.
Owl threw his hat aside and collapsed into a sitting position. Then, suddenly, his expression hardened, and he spat at Kian while shouting.
”What is this trash?! My undead soldiers’ materials are all messed up! That idiot Adventurer Guild leader—bald! He only ate a few kids but burned all the corpses in the Catacombs!”
(Ah, so the Adventurers who went in must have disposed of the undead soldiers.)
It seemed they had even determined how the children died, so they had no choice but to burn all the bodies. Owl might not understand, but the Guild leader’s orders made sense.
”The residents keep saying nonsense and gathering in front of the castle. It’s a mess. On top of that, I’m tired from negotiating with the Beastmen Alliance. Why! Is no one thinking about Ramsey’s defense? Instead, they just get in my way! My patience has limits!”
”Calm down. That’s not a fair complaint.”
”Kian!” Owl struck his staff and stood.
”Yes?”
”I’m done with this nonsense.”
”Huh?”
”I said I’ll stop all this foolishness.”
”What do you mean?” Kian asked, caught off guard.
Owl fluffed his wings and repeated in a cold voice, as if his previous outburst never happened.
”I said I will stop protecting Ramsey.”
”──────”
”For now, I’ll kill those idiots.”
Owl bent his arm at an unnatural angle, pointing toward the castle’s main gate—clearly meaning the rioting residents.
”You can’t. Please, come to your senses.”
”I’m sane. It’s them who are insane. They’re armed and gathering at the gate. If we ignore them, the castle will burn, and my subordinates will be slaughtered. We have no choice but to kill them.”
”That’s madness…”
”Lord Owl, my companions have already set a strong barrier around the castle,” Natra stepped forward and interrupted.
She spoke quietly without hesitation. “The barrier was created by the three greatest magicians of our time, and no one without magical knowledge can break it. There’s no need to worry about the gates being breached. Maybe you should calm down by eating something?”
”……”
Owl stretched his long arm back into place and exhaled softly before saying, “I want to speak with Kian alone. Is that possible?”
”With all due respect, you’re not in a condition to be alone with my master,” Natra replied firmly.
”Natra, please, let me talk to him alone,” Owl insisted.
”But—”
”He needs to tell me something only I can hear,” Owl interrupted.
Kian glanced at Owl and said, “Call the old butler and have the room cleaned. Mr. Owl, let’s step out onto the balcony. Rufna and the others set up a barrier, so no one outside can see us.”
”Thank you for your consideration, my friend,” Owl replied.
”…Understood. I will wait here after calling the butler,” Natra said, “Lord Owl, please keep your thoughts steady. If anything happens to my master, I will rust this magic sword.”
”So, if I disappear, Ramsey will fall?” Owl asked quietly.
”Yes,” Kian confirmed.
”Hmph… If I stay, Ramsey will not fall,” Owl muttered bitterly and slowly walked toward the balcony.
Kian opened the sturdy door and stepped outside, where the full wheat fields of Ramsey stretched beneath them, before Owl said, “I’m giving up this duty.”
As soon as they faced each other on the balcony, Owl’s voice was calm but filled with quiet resignation.
Kian pushed back his black hair as the wind tossed it and asked, “If you step down, who will protect Ramsey?”
”I will,” Owl answered firmly.
”Wait, didn’t you just say you were giving up the guardianship?” Kian pressed.
”Yes, I did,” Owl nodded seriously and continued, “I am relinquishing the official duty, but I will keep the promise I made to Maribel. I will protect Ramsey’s land. That, I swear.”
”What do you mean? Are you planning to reveal your true self as Tobal Cain and charge into enemy lines?” Kian asked with suspicion.
Owl chuckled deeply. “Hooh-hohohoho.”
”Suicide? Not a chance. If it was just me, Arminus would defeat me easily, and that would be the end. Besides him, there are fierce warriors like his son Fraus, the steel tiger Marcomanni, and the silver wolf Juji. Even if I fought all of them, I wouldn’t be sure to win.”
”Then what’s your plan? Sorry, but I don’t understand any of this,” Kian admitted.
”Oh my, I thought someone sharp like you would already know,” Owl said with a slight smile. “Well, fine. It’s a secret, but to protect Ramsey, I’m going to revive the Thorn Demon.”
”──────What?” Kian’s voice faltered.
The sudden declaration stopped Kian’s thoughts cold, but he quickly looked back at Owl. “Wait, did you just say you’re going to bring back the Thorn Demon?”
”Yes,” Owl confirmed.
”This isn’t a joke. I’ve only heard stories—about how the Demon grows by absorbing everything around it, how it uses the vampire’s Restoration Curse to heal endlessly until its magic runs out. Even magic swords can’t stop it because it absorbs the magic itself,” Kian explained carefully.
”You know your facts. Good, Kian. Being thorough is important,” Owl said approvingly.
”Is this the time to sound so polite? How can you think about reviving that Demon? With the alliance, Ramsey would be destroyed!” Kian argued.
”That’s what I thought too,” Owl admitted.
”You did?” Kian frowned deeply.
Owl turned his jet-black eyes toward the golden wheat fields below and said, “Kian, thanks to your negotiation, we have a temporary ceasefire. But it will only last about ten days. When the wheat changes from green to gold, they will invade to secure food for the winter. Peace talks won’t work.”
He went on, “This is all the power I have. Protecting Ramsey’s fields and people, and pushing back the enemy without losses, is impossible without someone like Oswald and his firepower. If I lose strength, Ramsey will be crushed by the Beastmen. Which is better—summoning the Thorn Demon to wipe out both Beastmen and humans, or having the fields and town destroyed by the war? At least by summoning the Demon, I can keep my promise to Maribel and protect this land.”
”No—” Kian tried to interrupt, but Owl continued.
”The preparations for the Demon’s arrival are done. Thanks to you, Kian. The magic power still missing will be gathered through sacrifices. The Demon will appear north of the wheat fields and crush the Beastmen without mercy.”
”Isn’t the Demon supposed to be revived in Dacia?” Kian asked, confused.
”Oh hohoho! No, it will be here. I’ve moved the Demon’s core here already. For the great, my goddess,” Owl said proudly.
What should I do…? Kian thought, struggling with his confusion.
He doesn’t understand what Owl means. But if he stops trying to understand, Owl will wipe out ten thousand Ramsey residents and twenty thousand Beastmen, and maybe even put Izerland in danger.
This is bigger than being an outsider. If anyone can stop Owl, it’s him.
Owl continued, “Right after this, I’ll summon the Demon north of the fields, sacrificing 11,500 people from Ramsey. Kian, you must return to Izerland to handle the aftermath and arrange countermeasures. I’ll leave it to you.”
”Wait! Take it step by step. Why sacrifice the residents?” Kian demanded.
”Ramsey is the only place where the ritual to turn humans into magic power can be done without interference. I wanted to sacrifice the Beastmen instead, but if I could, the war would already be over,” Owl explained coldly as he looked at the residents gathered near the castle gates.
”With 10,000 sacrifices, I expect to have enough magic to revive the Demon. The ritual should succeed.”
”We cannot summon the Demon. Mr. Owl, let me help—let’s protect Ramsey together,” Kian pleaded.
”Even if you say that…” Owl sighed deeply. “I’m tired. I don’t want to protect these fools anymore. I did my best for Maribel, but I’m at my limit. Even if you ask me to try again now, I have no motivation left. I’m done.”
”Please, just this once. Let’s do it like we did with Oswald,” Kian pressed.
Owl let out a long breath. “If you want to protect those idiots that badly, then why don’t you do it alone, Kian?”
