Chapter 217 Tokyo Dome

"Heh~, so many people already…" Rin murmured, her eyes darting across the crowd. "I feel like I'll lose Akane and the others if we're not careful."
"In that case, let's hold hands," Haruto said, offering his hand with a smile.
"It's still early," Akane added, glancing at the time. "More people are gonna show up for sure."
Today was the big day—Yuna and her idol group's first concert, held at the Tokyo Dome. The show wouldn't start until 6:00 PM, but it was already 3:30, and the whole place buzzed with energy. No matter where you looked, the crowd just kept growing.
"Haruto, are you planning to greet them backstage?" Rin asked, her gaze curious.
"I asked Sasahira-san," Haruto replied. "They said that kind of thing usually happens after the show's over."
"Ah, I see," Rin nodded. "Guess there's a lot going on before it even starts."
"But… is it really okay to go see them when they're all tired from performing?" Akane asked, a hint of worry in her voice.
"They're still in their teens, remember?" Haruto said, trying to reassure them. "They've got energy to spare."
"Unlike us," Akane added with a chuckle. "We're not exactly kids anymore…"
With this being Yuna's first concert, Akane and Rin were clearly more excited than usual. Haruto, on the other hand, wore a different look—a quiet seriousness, like his mind was elsewhere. The reason for that was—
"Hey, look over there!" someone whispered nearby.
"Huh? Is that another idol group?" another voice said. "Wait… I've never seen that girl before."
"She's gorgeous! She has to be a celebrity…"
"And that guy with her… is he a model?"
Even in a crowd full of idol fans, two women stood out—beautiful enough to rival the performers themselves. Next to them, Haruto, with his calm expression and clean looks, didn't fall behind either. Naturally, the trio was drawing attention. Just like earlier, whispers spread among the people nearby.
"Whoa, syou'restunning! Hey, wanna grab dinner after the show?"
"No thanks," Akane replied without even glancing at him.
"What about the older one?"
"I'm with someone," Rin said firmly.
Even with bold guys trying their luck, the women didn't bite. They were used to this kind of attention.
Suddenly—grab.
"Haruto, why are you just standing there?" Akane asked, gripping his arm tightly.
Grab.
"Haruto-kun! Some random guy's talking to us!" Rin added, clinging to his other side.
Now Haruto had two beautiful women holding onto each of his arms. Naturally, the people nearby lost their minds.
"That guy's walking with two beauties?!"
"Ugh, seriously? Just die already!"
"Is this what it means to win in life? All just 'cause he's handsome!?"
"He should step on a LEGO barefoot…"
"…Wouldn't it be hard to walk side by side in this crowd?" Haruto asked, trying to keep a straight face.
"It's fine… look," Akane said, pointing ahead.
"Yep, no need to worry," Rin added with a small smile.
And just like that, the crowd began to part. It wasn't clear if they were making way for someone famous or simply copying others, but a path opened before them. Only the people nearby seemed to understand what was happening. The rest just followed the flow.
(Maybe they think we're with someone famous…)
As they walked down the center of the parted crowd, just as Haruto expected, whispers trailed behind them.
"Who are they?"
"Do you know that guy?"
"Are they some kind of VIP?"
"Ugh, I'm tired…" Rin sighed, leaning slightly into Haruto.
"Hey, the concert hasn't even started yet!" Akane said with a laugh.
"There's just… too many people," Rin mumbled.
In the past, Haruto would've avoided situations like this—being the only guy surrounded by women. It wasn't because he didn't like women, or that he struggled to talk to them.
If anything, Haruto liked them very much. He longed for closeness, for connection… and because he was honest about those feelings, more and more women gathered around him.
He couldn't blame anyone else for that. It was all his doing.
But still… sometimes he thought to himself:
(A harem… must be way more exhausting than people think.)
Notes:
• Rin – Second-year member of the swimming club; currently experiencing a physical problem that Haruto may help solve.
• Yuna – Female. A famous idol. She has well-defined features and is described as idol-like in appearance. She is a member of a popular idol group known for intense dance and singing performances. She is considering an AV job, which is unusual for a current popular idol. Her relationship with Haruto is that of a customer seeking assistance.
