Chapter 218 The Decision Of The Three People

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

As the concert kicked off, the whole venue lit up with energy.

Even though it was the middle of winter and they’d bundled up in thick coats, the heat from the crowd made them feel like stripping layers off.

Akane and Rin were both shouting along to the songs with full power—but surprisingly, even Haruto was raising his voice with them.

If it had been the old Haruto, the one who barely reacted when he first met Yuna, he probably would’ve just stood there, bored out of his mind. But now… he knew every member’s name and face, even had a TV set up at the massage parlor just for their music programs. Maybe he didn’t fully get the vibe of the venue yet, but he could at least throw out a few cheers to keep up.

”This is way too fun!” Haruto yelled, pumping his fist.

”Right? Concerts are the best! I’m so glad we came!” Rin grinned, swaying with the beat.

”Let’s totally go to the National Stadium one next year!” Akane said, eyes sparkling.

”Yeah, we have to!” Rin agreed, nodding hard.

Even after the concert wrapped up, the three of them were still buzzing with excitement as they made their way backstage, where the idol members were probably waiting.

They couldn’t enter freely, though. Only if Sasahira-san called them in.

”Thank you for waiting. Please, this way,” Sasahira said, guiding them.

”Sorry to bother you when you’re busy,” Haruto replied, giving a polite nod. “We’ll just say hello to Yuna-san and head out right after.”

”No worries. The sponsors are all connected anyway… but,” Sasahira paused, her expression clouding for a moment.

”Huh? Is something wrong?” Haruto asked, confused.

Not understanding what that reaction meant, Haruto followed behind Sasahira, sensing there must be a reason. Akane and Rin, who had overheard the exchange, quietly trailed after him, worry written on their faces.

Click.

”Yuna, Ichijou-sensei and the others have arrived,” Sasahira announced as she opened the dressing room door.

The room was larger than expected, spacious enough for the idol members and their sponsor guests to gather comfortably. Yuna, standing in front of a full mirror, turned around with a bright smile and rushed over.

”You came! How was it?” she asked, eyes shining.

”It was amazing!” Rin said, her voice full of joy.

”And really… fun,” Haruto added, a bit awkward, but honest.

”I’m definitely coming again next time!” Akane chimed in, though she looked a little stiff—maybe because she hadn’t spoken much to Yuna before. Still, her love for the group showed.

”I’m so happy to hear that!” Yuna said with a cheerful grin. “I’ll give you tickets again next time, so make sure you come!”

”No, next time we’ll buy them ourselves,” Haruto replied with a smile. “We’ve got to support the group properly, right?”

While Haruto and Yuna were chatting beside the mirror, another idol member was talking with one of the sponsors just a few steps away.

”That was such a wonderful concert!” the sponsor said, holding out a new bag. “And here—this is part of the next collection. Please try it on.”

”Oh, thank you,” the idol replied, accepting it with a smile. “The bag’s cute, but could you send me more casual outfits too? I don’t want to keep wearing the same things.”

”Of course. I’ll have them delivered right away.”

Then, the idol glanced over at Yuna, before stepping closer to her with a subtle smirk.

”Is that the sponsor Yuna mentioned? The massage parlor owner?” she asked.

”Yes, that’s right. What about it?” Yuna answered, her tone firm.

”He’s handsome, sure… but if it were me, I’d choose someone who could offer more benefits,” the idol said, flashing the new designer bag she had just received.

In that moment, Haruto finally understood what Sasahira had been trying to warn them about earlier.

(So that’s what she meant… All the other sponsors here are from major companies.)

”Miyu, you don’t have to say that,” Yuna said quickly. “Haruto-san is an important sponsor for me.”

”That’s fine, but Yuna, you always wear plain clothes and carry unbranded bags, right?” Miyu pressed, tilting her head. “Wouldn’t it be better if your sponsor bought you nicer things?”

”I don’t like branded stuff,” Yuna said flatly.

Clap-clap. Sasahira clapped her hands together, breaking the tension.

”Miyu, focus on your own sponsor,” she said.

”Okay~” Miyu replied with a carefree smile.

As the conversation ended, the mood in the dressing room shifted. The other members and sponsors had clearly noticed what was happening, and the room fell quiet.

It wasn’t until later—after they’d left—that Haruto finally asked Akane and Rin what exactly had gone on.

”I’m sorry for making things awkward…” he said softly.

”It’s not your fault,” Akane replied, shaking her head. “I wasn’t paying enough attention. I’ll send something over right away.”

”You don’t have to do that!” Yuna said quickly. “I already know how amazing you are. Even if something’s expensive… it can’t heal my legs.”

Her words warmed his heart more than she could’ve known. But at the same time, they brought a pinch of regret.

Akane and Rin must’ve felt it too. On the way home, the three of them talked seriously.

That night, they made a quiet promise—to turn their massage parlor into the most well-known place of all.

Notes:

• Rin – Second-year member of the swimming club; currently experiencing a physical problem that Haruto may help solve.

• Yuna – Female. A famous idol. She has well-defined features and is described as idol-like in appearance. She is a member of a popular idol group known for intense dance and singing performances. She is considering an AV job, which is unusual for a current popular idol. Her relationship with Haruto is that of a customer seeking assistance.
