”Ginga-kun, welcome back.”
”Takumi-kun, I’m back.” Ginga smiled as we shook hands firmly. “I heard from Shimizaki-san and the others. I’m really glad… truly.”
Behind us stood the returning members of the 1st and 2nd Divisions, as well as the nine from Funakoshi Aria-san’s group. Though the mission had ended in failure, Ginga-kun and the others had returned safely. The effort, even if fruitless, had reminded us of something important: our bond. That we genuinely cared for each other.
”I’m relieved too,” I said. “Without Aria, the household chores would’ve been impossible to manage. Her maid skills are honestly too good.”
”Starting today, under my new master’s command,” Aria said with a calm, composed smile, “I will continue to serve with all my strength.”
Still wearing her frilly black maid uniform, Funakoshi Aria glanced at me meaningfully—and with a subtle bounce of her generously endowed chest, she smiled again. The gap between her serene tone and the blatant seductiveness of her gestures was… well, unfairly powerful.
”Oh my, Takumi-kun is already preparing to cheat?” Chinatsu-chan smirked, sidling up beside me. “As Slave No. 1, I must say, this is deeply saddening.”
”Hey, that ‘slave’ label is unnecessary! Could you not say things like that in public?” I hissed, my voice low with embarrassment.
Voices burst out behind us as the guys—our usual chaotic bunch—began making a ruckus.
”Oi, is Takumi seriously building a harem empire? Just like Mikoshiba said…” one of them muttered.
”No doubt,” another chimed in. “And I get it. Asakura-san’s got that look—like she’s already lost her virginity. Yoshizaki-san, Kadokura-san, even Date-san… damn, he’s taking down one virgin a day!”
”Domoto, your virgin-sensor skill is terrifying. It’s practically a legitimate ability.”
”Mikoshiba,” someone said darkly, “maybe it’s time to use that ‘assassination’ skill of yours. Just saying.”
”Ahh, I feel it too. A faint murderous intent. What is this ‘slave’? What is this ‘slave’?”
”What’s the difference between me and Takumi?” someone whined. “Is it protagonist correction? Is that it?”
Kandagawa Rinko-chan was standing a good distance away, eyeing us with thinly veiled disgust—as if we were garbage. Honestly, this reminded me of that time Ouji-chan got completely fed up with the Four Idiots of the 4th Division. Rinko-chan probably wouldn’t join our party even if we begged.
Anyway, while celebrating our reunion and appreciating one another’s efforts, we discussed the future over a meal prepared by Yawashi-kun and Takada Honoka-chan.

We reorganized the divisions based on role compatibility and combat skill. While Chinatsu-chan alone could probably conquer the entire labyrinth, the middle layer had only just begun to be explored. Given its high-risk randomness and the long-untouched treasure hall, we needed broader experience across all units.
Honestly, if our only goal was profit, we could just farm near the entrance. But when Rira-chan’s intuition told her, “Someday, we’ll have to take on the treasure hall,” we couldn’t ignore that. The party was formed with that challenge in mind.

The new 1st Division remains our ace unit. Hikari-chan, not suited for direct combat, was moved to the 2nd Division. Domoto-kun, formerly a tank in the 1st Division, was reassigned to guard her. While the 2nd Division lost some firepower, it remained effective against non-boss encounters.
Haruka-chan’s 3rd Division wasn’t tasked with conquering the labyrinth. Instead, her mission was to master the Agilaus Staff and refine her ritual magic. I told her she could use her magic freely, as long as the team’s finances didn’t fall into the red.
Kandagawa Rinko-chan approached me privately. “I’m scared… If I stay near Domoto-kun, I feel like I might get violated…” she whispered. That “virgin sensor” comment had clearly unsettled her. She’s not a bad person—just a bit odd. She dreams of one day saving enough to buy a virgin from a brothel or slave market. Taking her concerns into account, I reassigned her to the 3rd Division.
With Rinko reassigned, I placed Mikoshiba-kun and Shikatani-kun alongside her. Shikatani would handle the party’s budget and monitor the use of magic stones.
”Shikatani… you traitor.”
”Will no girls ever come near us again…?”
The 4th Division—now a pure quartet of idiots—grumbled in despair.
Still, they’d gotten off easy. Unlike the previous black company-style exploitation from dawn till dusk, our new work system had a 7-hour day, rotating shifts, proper breaks, and a generous raise in allowance. They could endure.
”Hey, weren’t our introductions kind of… dismissive?”
”You’re imagining things… probably.”

Those who remained at the base included myself. Shiori-chan and Kahoru-chan lived separately and were considered special cases. Most of the women, unless they had specific combat roles, stayed behind. Despite the world’s gender equality, we still couldn’t bring ourselves to put non-combatant girls in danger.

* Shibata Ouji: Equipment management. Assists Aria.
* Shimizaki Kurumi: Magic stone manager. Accounting.
* Endo Saki: Government and guild liaison. Prepares all external reports.
All the responsibilities I had juggled were now split among four capable people: Rira-chan, Kurumi-chan, Ouji-chan, and Saki-chan. It was a huge relief.
”Looking back,” Rira-chan said one evening, “you and Aria-chan really carried everything. You barely slept more than two hours a day, didn’t you?”
”I just did what needed to be done,” I replied. “The ones truly struggling were those risking their lives in the labyrinth.”
”That’s true,” Aria added softly. “But for me, I was simply putting my ‘maid’ skills to good use. It wasn’t hard.”
With this support system, even the frontliners could breathe a little. Waking before dawn, entering the labyrinth at sunrise… How they endured that grueling routine for years is a testament to their resolve.
And then, that night—
Funakoshi Aria-chan came to my room.

Her nostalgic personality and close bond with Aria add emotional depth to her character, while her interactions with others reveal her playful and caring nature.
