Volume 11 Chapter 2 Resonance Of Unusual People

 ──That is how it is.

”I see! That’s wonderful! It sounds fascinating!”

”You understand, Soyuz! Just as I expected from the person I chose.”

”No, I’m the one who’s incredibly happy to have met you, Lydia. I owe thanks to Lena and Ms. Sara for bringing us together.”

”Fufu, being able to feel so genuinely grateful toward them shows how kind you are. Tonight, I intend to thank Sara thoroughly as well.”

Lydia and I exchanged a look and nodded in unison.

As she spoke, we opened up completely, connecting so well that we’d already started calling each other by our first names.

Lena and Ms. Sara watched us with wide, astonished eyes, but their expressions were purely happy, pleased to see us grow so close.

”Well then, I shall take my leave for today. Next time, I insist, let me invite you to my house. I want you to see firsthand what we talked about today, and more than anything, I want to talk with you even more.”

”I’d love that. I’m not planning to leave this town anytime soon, so call me whenever you like.”

We shook hands firmly, and this time we parted without exchanging any mana between us.

* * *

”Sir Soyuz, you looked like you were having a lot of fun. What sort of conversation did you have with Lady Lydia?”

After they left, Lena asked as she cleared the tea things.

 …Huh? Am I being suspected?

”We talked about various things—Magic Tools and magic medicines, stuff like that. And well, since it was the first time I’d met someone so perfectly matched to me, I got a little carried away… Are you worried I might be interested in her… or something?”

I asked as indirectly as possible, but Lena just tilted her head with a blank expression.

”Were you truly entertaining such a thing?”

”Eh, no. Well… considering everything that’s happened so far.”

At my words, Lena flushed faintly.

”Sir Soyuz has trained me many times, after all.”

Ahh, so that’s how it is.

Whenever she grows anxious, I make sure her body remembers that she is my number one. Primarily her body.

”There’s nothing for which Lena can be blamed. No matter how Sir Soyuz calls me his ‘wife,’ the fact remains that I am still a slave. So even if you took Lady Lydia as your bride, there’s no cause for concern on our account. Only, if you allow us to continue serving you as before, that alone makes us happy.”

Her gaze turned sticky, lingering near my crotch as she spoke.

 Lena said it resolutely.

”Mm, I appreciate the feeling, but honestly, I’m not thinking of doing anything with Lydia.”

”Is that so? My sincerest apologies. Then, for Lena’s foolish misunderstanding, please punish me thoroughly, Sir Soyuz…”

She knelt as if to hide a face ready to drool. Yeah, this kid is definitely a willful offender!

”Ms. Lena, that’s exactly the problem, okay?”

”Honestly, this is why my dear sister—”

”Even I have to draw the line here.”

Before long, the other girls caught wind and lectured Lena.

Um, you’re the head slave, right?

* * *

A few days passed training Lena and flirting with the other slaves, then I received a formal invitation from Lydia.

”Well then, I’m off. Don’t worry about me; I’ll definitely be late, so just rest.”

”Understood. Um… do you really not need any attendants?”

”Nope. I’m just visiting a friend. I’ll leave the house in your care.”

 ”Yes… please be careful.”

After gently patting Lena’s head—like a scolded puppy—I left the mansion.

About a quarter-hour walk from the outskirts of town to the center, where nobles and wealthy merchants lived, was Lydia’s residence.

Unlike my old, shabby home, it was truly worthy of being called a mansion.

At the gate, I encountered Ms. Sara, who appeared to have been waiting for me.

”We’ve been expecting you, Sir Soyuz. Please, come in.”

She invited me inside and led the way.

Inside was as luxurious as the exterior promised. Several maids were diligently working, but…

Yeah, they didn’t look at me favorably. It was as if they were afraid of me.

”I apologize, Sir Soyuz. Please forgive them. They have all suffered terrible treatment from men in the past.”

Ah, I see. So that’s how it is.

If I remember correctly, Lena said Ms. Sara had been mistreated and rescued by Lydia. This must be what she calls the ‘nobility’s duty.’

 ”I don’t mind at all.”

I replied, and decided to avoid meeting the maids’ eyes as much as possible. Surely, many feared being seen by a man.

”I sincerely appreciate your generous heart and consideration.”

While comforting Ms. Sara, who bowed deeply, I headed toward the room where Lydia waited. It wasn’t a reception room but appeared to be her laboratory.

”Hey, Soyuz. I’m glad you came.”

Lydia greeted me, no longer in the male disguise from before, but wearing work clothes suited for getting dirty—and glasses.

”Hey, Lydia. Without further ado, can I see it?”

 ”Yes, of course.”

We chatted lightly, as if old friends, as I entered her room. Ms. Sara watched us with gentle eyes.

* * *

”Now, this is what I’m currently researching. I’m confident each of these will become something wonderful once completed, but right now, I’m really stuck.”

She handed me several sheets of documents, filled with outlines of magic potions never seen before.

I skimmed the pages, intrigued. Hmmm, I wondered aloud, “What’s the purpose of this drug that relaxes the urethra, alongside a safe contraceptive, a side-effect-free aphrodisiac, and a treatment for injured vaginas and anuses?”

”I tried writing a sorcery formula to grant these effects to the powdered medicine,” she admitted, “but honestly, it didn’t go very well. I was quite troubled.”

”Ah,” I said thoughtfully. “Lydia, you were trying to manage everything with magic grants because you don’t know pharmacology?”

”Exactly,” she nodded. “I’m good at creating Watashi Magic Tools and granting sorcery, but I’m ignorant of pharmacology. So I thought I’d just grant magic to everything, but it seems that was a bit too ambitious.”

That made sense. Enhancing the effects of something that already had medicinal properties was vastly different from forcibly granting efficacy to something that had none. The difficulty level was despairingly different.

”If I create the base substances for these medicines, and you grant them magic,” I suggested, “we could probably manage somehow.”

She looked hopeful. “Can you do that? All of them?”

”Yeah,” I said confidently, “if it’s something written here, probably.”

Lydia hesitated for a moment, then her expression turned resolute.

”This too… can we manage, maybe?”

She showed me a piece of paper.

”Um… a drug to grow a p*nis… is that right?”

”Yes. I’m thinking if I could temporarily grant magic to the cli*oris, it might be possible to grow a pseudo-p*nis.”

I paused, weighing the idea. Ugh, hmm… is there really a demand for this? Then I thought, Well, if Lena and Georgia were using this drug together, I’d definitely be very excited watching them…

 ”What do you think, Soyuz?”

”Hmm,” I said, “this is fundamentally different from the previous drugs, so… yeah, it might be a bit difficult without some kind of foothold.”

”I see,” she sighed. “That makes sense. Yeah, let’s set this aside for now. Next, I want you to look at the costumes and decorations. I want your honest opinion from a male perspective.”

”Got it. Let me see those.”

So we paused the discussion about the drugs, and she showed me various costumes and decorations she had devised. Each one was wonderful—I thought I’d definitely want to buy them once they were completed.

* * *

As we talked endlessly about magic drugs and Magic Tools, the sun set unnoticed, and inevitably, I was called to dinner.

Naturally, I enjoyed a more lavish meal than at my own home, and now I was chatting with Lydia over drinks.

Since this body was still in its mid-teens, I usually refrained from drinking much…

”Wow, talking with you, Soyuz, is really enjoyable,” Lydia said, smiling warmly. “It’s been a while since I felt this way.”

”I feel the same,” I replied. “There aren’t many Magic Tool shops in this town, and not many people are familiar with magic either.”

While chatting with Lydia, I apparently ended up drinking more than usual without realizing it. I felt elated and noticeably more talkative. My face and ears burned hot.

When I looked at Lydia, her cheeks were flushed crimson, but she smiled back at me.

This was the first time I’d ever had alcohol while chatting so enjoyably with someone. Come to think of it, none of my slaves—well, none of the girls—drank alcohol. They were mostly girls who hadn’t yet reached womanhood…

The instant such thoughts crossed my mind, my heart tightened a little.

”Hey, Soyuz. About what we were talking about earlier.”

 ”Earlier?” I asked.

”Yes. The conversation about the medicine that grows a p*nis.”

 ”Ah, that.”

”You said if there was any starting point at all, didn’t you?”

 ”Yeah, I did say that.”

”There… is. Something that can serve as a starting point.”

I raised an eyebrow, confused. “?”

Lydia’s face flushed even deeper, her ears crimson to the tips.

”I have one… attached to me.”

The moment she said it, she stood and let the skirt of her loungewear slip down with a soft rustle.

There, hanging limp yet splendid in a way it should never possess on a woman, was a remarkably magnificent organ.
