”I’m probably the only one who thinks teleporting to this world was a good thing, right?”
Kano Sayo-chan muttered this as I was heading to a council meeting. She happened to be walking with me, along with Aria as our escort.
”That’s not true, Sayo. I’m grateful to be with Takumi-kun now.”

”It’s okay. If talking helps, go ahead.”
”Alright, thanks. Aria, don’t you ever want to go back and see your parents?”

Aria’s question made sense. Sayo-chan lightly brushed her silver hair, now changed by magic, revealing her ear.
”This scar isn’t as noticeable anymore. When we first teleported, it was worse. He pulled my ear.”

”Yeah. Kotaro’s father was abusive. My mom never stopped him. I think she saw me as a substitute. Kotaro was the only one who protected me. He kept me from being assaulted. That’s why I’ll give everything to him. That’s all.”
”Are you happy now, Sayo?”
”Of course. My love might be heavy, but Kotaro accepted it. He’s so kind.”
”I’m glad to hear that.”
I listened quietly, unable to interrupt. Like Shion-chan only has Ginga-kun, Sayo-chan only has Kotaro-kun. If something happened to him, what would she do?
”I’ll head this way. Thanks for listening.”
Sayo-chan left, and Aria and I continued to the Government Office in silence.
”…Takumi, do you think Kano-kun is happy?”
”Kotaro-kun? I think so. He has someone who loves him so much.”
Kotaro-kun decided to follow Dalcur-san, my master, and Sayo-chan is training under Neige-san. They chose to stay in this world.
”Yeah. He must be happy.”
What did Aria want to say? I couldn’t bring myself to ask. I headed to the council, fulfilling my duties as McGaref’s leader.
