Chapter 14 The Strays at the Edge

Lucia’s voice cut through the dim corridor, steady but laced with defiance. “So, what now?” she asked, facing Kanata, speaking for the trio. Her eyes burned with a mix of resolve and resignation, her stance rigid under their dire situation.
Kanata’s lips curled into a faint, crooked smile. “First, you disarm,” he said, his tone light but carrying an undeniable edge of authority.
Lucia shrugged, as if expecting nothing less. “Fair enough,” she muttered, tossing her sword to the ground with a sharp *CLANG!*. She glanced at her companions. “Mina, May, you too.”
At her command, Mina reluctantly let her bow slip from her fingers, the wood hitting the stone with a soft *thud*. May followed, her mace dropping with a heavy *DOOM!*. Sara stepped forward, gathering the weapons in silence, her movements stiff and mechanical.
”This good enough for you?” Lucia asked, her voice sharp despite the flush creeping up her cheeks.
Kanata’s smile twisted, amusement glinting in his eyes. “Don’t play coy. You could be hiding something. Strip—everything.”
”What?!” May and Mina gasped in unison, their faces paling with shock.
Lucia’s jaw tightened, frustration flashing across her features. “Fine… no choice, I guess.” With a grudging sigh, she unfastened her armor, the metal clanking as it fell to the floor. Her tunic followed, pooling at her feet. May and Mina hesitated, exchanging uneasy glances, but the weight of their predicament left no room for defiance. Slowly, they shed their gear, their hands trembling.
”This better be enough,” Lucia said, her face burning as she stood exposed, arms crossed defensively.
”Not quite,” Kanata replied coolly. “Gotta restrain you, just to be safe.” He flicked his gaze to Sara, who nodded with a resigned expression and began binding the trio’s wrists with rope, her hands steady but her eyes averted.
”Now for the inspection,” Kanata announced, stepping toward Lucia. He grasped her ankle, parting her legs with a deliberate motion, exposing her vulnerability.
”What are you doing?!” Lucia’s voice cracked, panic flaring as she twisted against the ropes binding her hands. Her struggles were futile, her body only writhing in place.
”Inspection, like I said,” Kanata replied, his tone almost bored. “Hold still.”
Lucia’s resistance didn’t falter, her body thrashing despite the ropes. “Kanata…” Sara’s voice broke the tension, soft and hesitant, as she stepped closer.
”What? You want to save them?” Kanata’s eyes narrowed, studying her.
”Is that… okay?” Sara’s voice was barely a whisper, her gaze flickering with uncertainty.
Lucia, Mina, and May froze, their eyes locking onto Kanata, a fragile hope shimmering in their expressions. Could Sara’s plea sway him?
Kanata tilted his head, considering. “Since it’s you asking, Sara, I’ll think about it.”
”Really?” Sara’s voice lifted, a spark of relief in her eyes.
”Yeah. But,” he added, his tone hardening, “the DP we spent because of them needs replenishing. That’s non-negotiable.”
”DP?” Lucia muttered, the term unfamiliar, drawing puzzled looks from Mina and May. But Sara’s words had kindled a faint hope, the possibility of mercy swelling in their hearts.
Sara nodded slowly. “I understand. It’s only fair.” After pledging herself to Kanata, she’d learned the Dungeon’s rules, including the importance of DP—Dungeon Points [t/n: A resource used to maintain and expand the Dungeon’s magical systems].
She knew she and the others had been used to fuel that system, a bitter truth she’d accepted for gentler treatment. Her timid plea was the closest she’d come to asserting herself. To Kanata, that vulnerability was oddly endearing, enough to make him consider her request. He’d planned to exploit the trio fully, especially with El scheming in the Control Room, but Sara’s quiet appeal softened his resolve.
”For now, take them to the cells,” Kanata ordered sharply. “I’ll deal with this one first.” He hoisted Lucia over his shoulder, and with a shimmer of light, he vanished in a teleportation spell, leaving a faint glow that faded into the air.
Sara, Mina, and May stood in the corridor’s heavy silence.
Mina took a hesitant step toward Sara, her voice trembling but gentle. “…Sara.”
Sara lifted her gaze, but her words carried no gratitude. “Why… why did you come here?”
The air crackled with tension.
”What’s that supposed to mean?!” Mina snapped, her voice sharp with hurt.
”Sara, we came to save you! How can you say that?!” May’s tone burned with betrayal.
Sara’s brow furrowed, her head bowing as guilt choked her. *If you hadn’t come, no one else would’ve suffered…* Gratitude and guilt warred within her, tangled with the truth that her friends had risked everything, only to fall into this nightmare.
She knew what awaited them—cruelty was inevitable. Yet, a desperate hope flickered. *Please… let it be as little as possible…* Her silent prayer echoed against the cold stone floor.
”Come on, both of you,” Sara said, her voice steadying as she held up a Collar of Subjugation [t/n: A magical restraint ensuring obedience, common in dungeon settings]. “Don’t do anything reckless, okay? Or I’ll have to use this.”
Mina and May glanced around, noticing the goblins that had silently encircled them, their leering gazes glinting in the dim light.
”You’ll be safe with me,” Sara added softly. “So… what’s it going to be?”
Without a word, Mina and May nodded, their shoulders slumping as they followed Sara, their steps heavy with resignation.

Meanwhile, in the training room, Lucia sat astride a wooden horse. Its sharp edge bit into her bare skin.
Her hands were bound behind her, ropes cutting into her wrists.
The device’s triangular ridge pressed painfully against her core. Each shift sent fresh waves of discomfort.
Unsecured, it swayed with her struggles. The edge dug deeper.
Weights tethered to her ankles intensified the pressure. They anchored her to the torment.
She tried to lift her hips in defiance. But the relief was fleeting—a mere centimeter—before exhaustion forced her back down.
The pain doubled as the ridge bit deeper.
”Let’s see how long you can hold out,” Kanata said. His voice laced with a low *heh-heh-heh* chuckle.
Lucia’s eyes brimmed with tears. Her voice trembled. “Please… stop…”
Despite her skill with a blade, she was just a village girl. Unprepared for such agony.
”No can do,” Kanata replied coolly. “This is punishment.”
With a swift motion, he brought a whip down across her backside. *CRACK!* The sound echoed through the room.
”Eek!” Lucia yelped. The sting seared her skin.
The jolt made the horse sway. The ridge pressed harder into her, amplifying her torment.
”Stop! Please, I’m begging you!” she cried. Her voice broke.
”I told you, it’s punishment. Want it to stop? Endure it.”
*CRACK! CRACK!* Two more strikes landed. Each one rocked the horse and sent fresh waves of pain through her.
*It hurts… it hurts so much…* The whip’s sting tightened her body. It made the ridge dig deeper—a vicious cycle of agony.
”Does it hurt?” Kanata asked. His tone almost curious.
”It hurts… I’ll do anything, just please stop…” Lucia sobbed. Her pride crumbled under the pain.
”Anything? Swear you’ll be my servant forever. My personal… plaything.”
”No… not that…!” Lucia’s voice wavered. Horror flashed in her eyes.
”Suit yourself.” *CRACK!* Another lash struck her backside.
”Kyaa!” she screamed. Her body trembled.
”Say the oath, or it gets worse,” Kanata warned. He raised the whip again. *CRACK! CRACK!*
”Ngh… ahh!” Lucia’s face contorted. Tears streamed down her cheeks.
”Another one,” Kanata said, unrelenting. *CRACK! CRACK!*
”Eek!” How many times had he struck? Lucia’s resolve wavered.
Her body screamed in protest. *It hurts… what do I do…? If this keeps up, I’ll really become his slave…*
Fear twisted her features. Her heart pounded with dread.
”One more!” Kanata declared. The whip sliced through the air. *CRACK!*
”Aaahh!” The horse rocked violently. The ridge bit deeper than ever, wrenching a scream from Lucia’s throat.
”You’re stubborn,” Kanata said. A faint note of respect in his voice. “For that, I’ll let you off with just one price.”
”Really…?” Lucia’s voice was faint. Her thoughts muddled by the relentless pain.
Escape from this torment consumed her mind. It left no room for anything else.
If Kanata had asked again, “Will you be my slave?” she would have nodded fervently. Swearing herself to servitude without hesitation.
”I don’t lie,” Kanata replied. His tone deceptively smooth. “But there’s a condition. You have to beg me to take you.”
”Please… I beg you… take me… my purity… I can’t stand the pain…” Lucia’s voice broke. Tears streamed down her face as she forced the words out.
”Very well,” Kanata said. A satisfied edge to his voice. “I’ll grant your wish.”
He lifted her from the wooden horse. Its sharp edge no longer bit into her.
He guided her to straddle him instead. “Go on, do it yourself.”
”Yes…” Lucia’s voice was barely audible. Her body trembled from the lingering pain.
She raised her hips slowly. Her movements clumsy and faltering, hindered by the soreness that gripped her.
After several failed attempts, she finally aligned herself with him. With a shuddering breath, she lowered herself swiftly.
A sharp *thud* echoed as their bodies met. A piercing sensation coursed through her as she yielded to him.
”Agh! It… it hurts…” Lucia gasped. Her face contorted in agony.
The raw intensity overwhelmed her. Her body unprepared after the torment of the horse.
”Well done,” Kanata said. His voice low and approving. “Here’s your reward.”
He began to move. His hips rising in a steady rhythm.
The *clap-clap* of their connection filled the room. A stark sound against the cold stone walls.
Lucia’s pained expression softened. A strange warmth mingled with the ache, stirring something unexpected within her.
*What is this…? It hurts, but… it feels… good?*
”Ah… ahn…” Her soft gasps grew louder. Her voice betrayed the shift in her senses.
”What’s that? You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?” Kanata’s tone was mocking. His eyes glinted with cruel amusement.
”N-no… that’s not… ahn!” Lucia protested. But her words dissolved into a breathless moan.
Kanata’s movements intensified. The *clap-clap* grew sharper, more insistent.
Her chest swayed with each motion. Kanata’s hand reached out, grazing her curves.
”Ah! N-no, stop!” Lucia tried to shield herself. But her bound hands left her defenseless.
Her movements only accentuated her vulnerability. Drawing more attention to her form.
”Feeling it just from that? You’re quite the eager one,” Kanata taunted. Ignoring her protests.
His rhythm quickened. The *clap-clap* echoed relentlessly.
Then—
”Ah… aaahh!” Lucia’s back arched. A cry tore from her throat as a wave of sensation crashed over her.
Her body tightened around him. The intensity pushed Kanata to his limit.
With a low grunt, he released a flood of warmth within her. A pulsing *throb-throb* that left her dazed.
”Ah… it’s so warm…” Lucia murmured. Her expression softened into a dreamy haze as she felt the rhythm of his release.
As it subsided, Kanata withdrew. A faint trickle of warmth spilled from her.
But the ordeal wasn’t over. Without the horse, he pressed her to the floor.
Her body pinned face-down. He moved behind her, his touch relentless.
Each thrust a *thump-thump* against the stone. Occasionally, he delivered a sharp *smack* to her backside.
But the sting was overshadowed by a growing tide of pleasure. Lucia’s mind, once sharp with resistance, began to blur.
Consumed by the thought that this felt *good*—that maybe being his servant wouldn’t be so bad after all.
Three more times, Kanata claimed her, each release a pulse-pulse that deepened her surrender. By the end, Lucia’s will to fight had dissolved, her body and mind yielding fully to his dominance, accepting the rhythm of his control.
