Chapter 191 HiyHiy Ka~
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Three minor nobles barged into the mansion, their faces twisted with ill intent. “We demand to see Viscount Keldan!” they shouted, ignoring any notion of an appointment. Even the guards had no power to stop them.
”What? Is hospitality not offered at Viscount Keldan’s residence?” one of the men barked.
”We’ve come personally to address damages caused by the crops developed here in Keldan!” another added, voice booming in protest as a portly, ugly nobleman leaned in, trying to intimidate the guards. Following him, a thin, clown-faced man in white powder with pointed green shoes strutted in, likely believing himself stylish, and then a medium-built, surly-looking noble followed.
They plopped themselves onto the visitor sofa in Ayumu’s room and immediately ordered his classmates—who had appeared to see what the commotion was—to come closer. “Hey! You strange girls, over here!”
The girls refused, but the nobles erupted. “What?! We are nobles! Obey, or suffer!” Forced, the girls had no choice but to step into the reception room, fear painted on their faces. Emboldened, the nobles escalated their demands.
”No! P-please! Let us return to our rooms! Don’t come near us!” timid Hiyori pleaded inwardly, hoping Ayumu would come back quickly.
The exotic nature of the girls only fueled the nobles’ audacity. They ordered them to sit beside them and, with lewd grins, began to grope them. Hiyori, trembling, whispered, “P-please… stop…” and tried to push the man away.
”Geh heh heh… You’re cute! What’s your name?” the portly noble demanded. Fearing worse if she refused, Hiyori whispered, “Hiyori…”
The man chuckled, “Heh heh… HiyHiy, is it? I suffered losses because of some upstart—how about you compensate me? A little patience, and I’ll reward you handsomely…” He began touching her thighs again, crossing her undergarments, escalating the harassment.
The stench from his heavy breathing made Hiyori recoil in horror. (Is this really human?) she thought.
”Stop… please…” she whimpered, tears welling as she begged. The man ignored her, grinning wickedly. “Money isn’t earned without hardship, you see? Handle it properly with your cute little hands—and maybe use that cute mouth of yours too…”
Other nobles tried to feign consent, offering money in a similar degrading proposition. “We don’t want money! Please, return us to our rooms!”
The girls were being forced into sexual acts under the guise of payment, the nobles’ twisted logic evident in their leering expressions.
At that moment, a voice called out: “Sir! Over here!” The door swung open, and Ayumu entered as if from heaven’s timing. “I hear you have business with me?”
The minor nobles’ expressions soured instantly. The girls, terrified, cried, “Sanai-kun!” and rushed behind him for protection.
The nobles, feigning civility, said, “Ah… Special Honorary Count Sanai. We’ve been expecting you. We’ve come regarding damages caused by the crops developed in your domain.”
They underestimated Ayumu, misjudging him because he was formerly a refugee and held the little-known title of Special Honorary Count. His courteous treatment of them had led them to think he was subservient.
”And we’re not greedy devils… if you send those girls over for our pleasure, perhaps we’ll consider the matter of compensation…” they whispered, expecting Hiyori and the others to comply.
But Ayumu, normally deferential, finally snapped. “I’m not in such dire straits to sell women! You have no right to force a cause that doesn’t exist onto me! I owe no apologies or compensation!”
The nobles were taken aback by his unexpected defiance.
”What?! You refuse our generous offer?!”
”Preposterous! You’ll regret this, mark my words…”
With that, the nobles stormed off, hurling insults as they left.
Once they were gone, Ayumu’s classmates rushed over. “Sanai! We knew you’d come through!” they said with practiced cheerfulness—obviously, he thought, they’re totally lying…
Then one of them added, “We’re really glad you came back sooner than expected…”
Ayumu couldn’t admit that he’d returned early not to rescue them out of heroics, but because he wanted to avoid being forced into marriage with Lady Eliana while still wanting his own freedom.
”Y-yeah! I… I just had a feeling you were in danger, so I rushed back!” he blurted, keeping his little white lie to himself.Ayumu, the habitual liar, kept up his little deception… to be continued.
