”Yukina!”
Yukina Yuki woke in bed to hear the worried voice of Sayumi Mineyama.
”Thank goodness… thank goodness, Yukina… If anything had happened to you—I don’t know what I’d do! I’m mad at you, you know!”
Tears welled up in Sayumi’s eyes as she clung to Yukina. Gently, Yukina stroked Sayumi’s head.
”I’m fine… Sayumi-chan. You shouldn’t try to handle everything alone…”
’It’s okay to rely on others more,’ Yukina gently advised, wrapping her arms around Sayumi’s shoulders.
They held each other, letting their tears flow, and felt their bond deepen. Once comforted, they turned to the reason they had come here—their work.

Soon, they were granted an audience with Admiral Salazar of the Solis Navy, distinguished by his tricorn hat. A man of cold demeanor, yet his piercing eyes burned with a quiet, fervent resolve.
”Hmm… Without needing to be asked by Heroes, we of Solis will join the war against the demon king’s army. In fact—just a few months ago, several of our trade ships went missing, and our navy has been engaged with them.”
”Our nation possesses one of the strongest fleets of warships, yet we had no intention to fight unless the demon king’s army attacked. However, they targeted our key sea lanes, disrupting our trade.”
”This is a grave matter. We can no longer turn a blind eye!”
When Mineyama and the others requested Solis to join the allied forces centered around the Alyurein Holy Nation to prevent massacres and human oppression, the Solis leadership responded with eager willingness.
With any rational mind, one would not challenge multiple nations at once—but the demon king’s army seemed to strike indiscriminately. If it were a human army, it would be laughably foolish—but the enemy’s unpredictable maneuvers left no room for complacency.
Having already faced them in several skirmishes, Sayumi and her companions felt an unsettling, indescribable dread deep in their hearts—a chill that no amount of preparation or courage could entirely dispel.
