Chapter 101 Adventurer Kanata – Part ④
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”Damn it… what’s with that girl?!”
Kanata burst into the hideout and shouted.
”Haa… is that what ‘natural’ is?” Faris said with a tired laugh.
”But you know you can’t touch her, right?” Faris warned.
”I know, I know… Ugh—if only Mirei weren’t a sword dancer… or if we could find another sword dancer… argh!” Kanata punched the pillow on the bed in frustration.
After that, Faris kept digging through the logs and analyzing them. She learned that to clear the Dungeon the Otaku Trio had entered, they needed members with the job or title of “sword dancer,” “holy knight,” “black Mage,” and “white Mage.”
Nanai and Ninim already had the “black Mage” and “white Mage” titles, but they lacked the other two. That’s probably why the Otaku Trio got turned away.
So, before going to rescue them, finding four allies became the top priority.
They had just registered as Adventurers and were about to look for members when they got dragged into this mess. Finding out that the person at the center of it was a sword dancer felt like some kind of fate. For now, they decided to stay together and earn her trust. That had been the plan… but—
”Gah, stop giving me mixed signals!”
Kanata thought Mirei’s trust in him was rising. Even this morning, though they had slept in the same bed, she only blushed and muttered a little complaint. No screams like the first day—maybe that was progress.
”What am I supposed to do, huh!”
He glanced down at his very obvious problem. He could handle himself, but it felt like a loss somehow.
”Haa… maybe I should go to a brothel…” he muttered, but he couldn’t bring himself to move. It felt like a waste.
’Shall I keep you company?’ Faris teased with a playful tone.
”Even so… hm?”
Just as he was about to answer, he sensed something faint beyond the door.
Kanata went on alert and quietly moved to the window. He peeled the curtain back a little and looked outside—
A girl of about fifteen or sixteen stood frozen, terrified.
Around her stood thugs in shabby clothes. Their eyes were sharp and their smiles cruel. They closed in on the girl, grabbed her shoulders, ready to do something terrible.
”Hey, little lady—wanna have a little fun?” one said. “Don’t run. You came to us, after all.”
The girl trembled and tried to back away, but she was surrounded with no escape. One of the men reached out to grab her—at that moment—
”Stop.”
A low, sharp voice cut through the alley.
The door slammed open and Kanata flew out into the street. His black cloak billowed. There was an unshakable will about him.
”What are you doing in a place like this?”
His eyes were icy. The threat in his voice froze the thugs for a second.
Without hesitation, Kanata stepped in front of the girl and spread his arms like a shield.
”Who the hell are you?! Don’t get in our way!” one yelled.
”Tch… don’t get cocky!” another snapped.
Several men raised blunt weapons and charged at Kanata—
”Don’t move. Stay right there. It’ll be okay.”
Kanata gently placed a hand on the girl’s shoulder. His voice had a strange calm that somehow made the girl’s frightened eyes show a flash of relief.
”I’ll handle this from here.”
”Spare me—smash him!” one thug shouted.
Two men leapt at him at once. Kanata pulled the girl back and stepped forward with his left foot.
Then the wind howled.
His roundhouse kick hit one man’s jaw perfectly. The man flew through the air without a sound. Another rushed in close, but before his punch could land, Kanata struck upward with a palm to the solar plexus.
”Ugh…!” The man crumpled to his knees and didn’t move.
”What the—who is this guy?!” someone cried.
The remaining three hesitated for a moment. Maybe anger at seeing their friends down made them reckless, because the next instant they all lunged forward together.
”Come all at once.”
Kanata’s voice was quiet. Cold even.
Before a wooden club could fall, Kanata dropped his center of gravity. He swept an ankle.
A thug lost his balance and hit the back of his head on the ground with a sickening sound.
As he turned, Kanata slipped between the two others and unleashed a flurry of punches. One to the stomach, then one to the jaw. With dry thuds, the men staggered and fell.
The last man was pale and shaking. He let out a pathetic cry and crawled away on his hands and knees.
Silence returned.
Kanata slowly turned and knelt in front of the still-trembling girl.
”It’s okay now. No one will hurt you.”
Tears welled in the girl’s eyes, and one rolled down her cheek.
How had things come to this?
The girl had only been trying to help her mother.
Her bedridden mother had been coughing badly for several days. They didn’t have enough money for medicine or a clinic.
Frantically, she had walked the town streets, looking for any way to help. People passed by in a hurry and no one listened.
Then a low voice had asked, “Do you need medicine?”
She turned and saw a man dressed all in black. Behind him were several men who looked the same.
”If you come with me, I’ll give you something good. Cheap.” “If you have no money, that’s fine.”
She felt uneasy, but she couldn’t let the situation get worse. Her mother didn’t have much time.
She nodded and followed the men.
Before she realized it, the streets had grown quiet and they were in a dim alley. The wind blowing through the narrow gap in the buildings was cold. Still, she thought, if she could get medicine…
—But—
”There was never any medicine.”
”If you behave, we won’t hurt you.”
At those words, the men’s eyes changed. They looked like hunters seeing prey. The girl was surrounded. No way out.
Her legs shook. She couldn’t make a sound. Her throat tightened and it felt like she couldn’t breathe.
”This is it… I’m done for.”
Then—
”Stop.”
A low, sharp voice split the air.
A man in a black cloak had leapt into the scene, like a shadow coming to life.
It was as if a shadow had risen up. Standing between the girl and the thugs, he spoke calmly but firmly.
”What are you doing here?”
One by one, the men fell. Without ever looking at the girl, he simply brushed them aside, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Why…
Why is this person helping me…
Thump.
Her heart raced. A warmth rose from deep within her chest. He saved me… No one else even looked at me.
”…!”
I have to say something.
Thank you—even if that’s all.
But her mouth wouldn’t move.
No words came out.
Only the tears streaming down her cheeks spoke her gratitude.
* * *
Even after scattering the thugs, the girl stood frozen in place. Her eyes wide, she tried to speak, but no words formed. The lingering fear still gripped her heart.
Kanata slowly approached her and gently held out his hand.
”It’s okay… No one will hurt you anymore.”
The girl hesitated but took his hand. Her fingers were slender, cold, and trembling. Their chill made Kanata’s chest ache just a little.
He led her back to his hideout.
”Sit here,” Kanata said, tapping the edge of the bed lightly.
The girl sat down timidly. Kanata took a steaming cup of herbal tea from the shelf and handed it to her. She wrapped her hands around the cup and whispered a small “thank you.” Her voice was faint and raspy, but it reached him.
Kanata studied her face. Her expression, now calming, revealed a delicate beauty hidden beneath a mask of fear.
Her moist eyes, framed by long lashes. Her cheeks, still youthful, had a fragile mix of pale and flushed tones. Her wind-tangled hair fell across her face, and even the unconscious gesture of brushing it away touched his heart.
(She’s so pretty…)
Thump.
Suddenly, his heart raced.
Kanata exhaled softly and looked away. What am I thinking right now? he chided himself. But then he rationalized, It can’t be helped… It’s all Mirei’s fault. This dark impulse was triggered by Mirei’s teasing behavior, which had left him frustrated.
In a way, the girl was unlucky… or maybe lucky, since Kanata was there to save her from the thugs.
”…Are you feeling a bit calmer?” Kanata asked gently, suppressing the turmoil in his chest.
The girl nodded slightly and looked down at her cup.
The warm drink seemed to soothe her, and she began to respond. Kanata, still sitting on the edge of the bed, asked quietly,
”So… what were you doing? What’s next for you?”
The girl paused, then spoke softly. About her sick mother. About wandering the streets to find medicine. And about being tricked by those men—
As she spoke, her voice occasionally caught, and tears welled up in her eyes. Still, she tried her best to tell her story.
(For her age, she’s tall and has a somewhat mature figure…)
(Her chest is… large. C… no, maybe D-cup. She’d be fun to touch.)
(Her voice is nice… I’d love to hear her moan like this…)
Kanata listened to her story, his thoughts drifting.
When she finished, silence filled the room.
Kanata nodded slightly, stood up, and opened a small wooden box in the corner. Inside were two carefully wrapped bottles, glowing softly.
One was a clear red, the other a pale gold. Kanata picked them up and returned to the girl.
”Here’s a ‘cure-all’ and a ‘Hi-Potion,’” he said quietly.
The girl’s eyes widened.
”These could cure your mother’s illness.”
It sounded like a dream. Her eyes grew wide, and she gasped.
”R-really…!?”
But only for a moment. The hope in her face quickly faded.
She stared at the bottles, then at Kanata. Her eyes showed not joy or gratitude, but pain and hesitation.
”…Those are expensive, right?” she whispered.
”I can’t afford them… I don’t deserve such amazing medicine.”
Her small hands, clenched in her lap, trembled.
Kanata watched her silently for a moment, then softened his expression. It was a gentle smile, but the girl was too naive to notice the darkness lurking beneath it.
”You don’t need a reason. I’m helping because I want to. That’s all.”
He placed the bottles in her hands.
Tears welled up in her eyes again, this time mixed with hope and warmth.
”…Thank you,” she whispered, her voice clear despite its faintness.
Kanata nodded silently.
The girl reached out, but Kanata took the bottles back.
”But I’m not giving them for free,” he said.
”Huh? But…” she stammered.
”I’m not asking for money… You know what I mean?”
Kanata reached for her chest.
”W-wait!”
”If you refuse, your mother won’t be saved.”
His right hand grabbed her left breast, while his left hand slipped under her skirt, caressing her inner thigh.
”Mmph… no…”
The girl whimpered, but Kanata continued stimulating her chest and thigh.
For the first time, she understood what he wanted, what was about to happen. And she realized that if she endured it, her mother might be saved. Blushing, she surrendered to his touch.
”Mmm… no… stop…”
”What’s wrong?”
”I… I don’t want this…”
She shook her head, but Kanata didn’t stop.
”Then… how about this…”
He pressed his hand against her underwear through her skirt.
”Mmph! W-what are you…?”
She trembled, but Kanata whispered reassuringly.
”It’s okay, I’ll just make you feel good… And you want to save your mother, right?”
”Umm… but…”
Tears in her eyes, she looked at him. But his hand relentlessly teased her sensitive spot.
”Ahh! No… stop… haa…”
Her body convulsed, and she slumped against him.
”Haa… haa… if I… listen to you… will you… give me the medicine?”
”Yes, if you’re good and obedient.”
”…Mmm, what do I need to do?”
”Haa, haa… if I listen to you… will you give me the medicine?”
”Yeah, if you’re quiet and do as I say.”
”…Mmm, what do I need to do?”
The girl asked, sounding resigned.
”First, take off all your clothes.”
”W-what? That’s… embarrassing…”
The girl’s face turned bright red. But Kanata leaned in and whispered into her ear,
”You want to save your mother, right?”
”Ugh, f-fine…”
She reluctantly began to undress. Once naked, she stood before him, her body pale and beautifully translucent. A sweet, youthful scent tickled Kanata’s nostrils.
”Next, this.”
Kanata sat her on a chair and spread her legs.
”W-wait, what are you doing!?”
”Just stay quiet.”
He lifted her legs, exposing her most intimate area.
”No, don’t look…!”
She pleaded, on the verge of tears, but Kanata ignored her.
”No! Stop!”
She struggled, but he was too strong.
”Look closely.”
He spread her lips with his fingers.
”N-no… this is so embarrassing…”
Her face flushed, tears in her eyes. Still, he didn’t stop. Then, he leaned in and pressed his tongue against her sensitive spot.
”Hyaa! W-what are you doing!?”
She gasped, but he kept licking. As his tongue teased her clitoris, her body trembled violently.
”Ahh! No! I’m gonna…!”
She cried out, but he didn’t stop. Then, he slipped a finger inside her.
”Aahh!! No!!”
She screamed louder, but he continued mercilessly. Soon, she reached her limit, arching her back and squirting loudly. She slumped in the chair, exhausted.
”Haa… haa… please stop…”
She whispered weakly, but Kanata ignored her, kissing her lips again.
”Mmm… mmm…”
He lowered his pants, lifted her hips, and positioned himself at her entrance.
”W-wait, what are you—?”
Before she could finish, he thrust inside her. She screamed.
”N-no! It hurts! It hurts so much! Stop, please… aahh!”
She cried in pain, her body trembling. But Kanata began moving his hips. Smack! Smack! The sound of flesh meeting flesh filled the air, and with each thrust, her body jerked in response.
”No! It hurts! It hurts so much!”
Tears streamed down her face, but he showed no mercy.
”Ahh! Ahh! No… stop… please…”
He ignored her pleas, continuing relentlessly.
”No… pull out! Pull out, please…”
Her screams grew louder, and his arousal peaked. Then…
”Guh, I’m coming!”
He released himself inside her. At that moment, she climaxed, arching her back in ecstasy.
”Haa… haa…”
She lay there, dazed. Kanata, still unsatisfied, lifted her hips and took her from behind.
”Ahh! No! I’m still sensitive!”
”No… ahh! Ahh! Ahh…”
”I-I’m gonna… again… aahh…”
Her moans—just as he’d imagined, no, even better—filled his ears and heart.
”Come on, louder!”
”Aahh… no… please… stop…”
She tried to resist, but he showed no mercy. As she neared her limit again…
”Come with me!”
He released himself inside her once more.
”Noooo…!”
She climaxed again, her body trembling. But he didn’t stop, continuing to thrust.
”Please… stop…”
Tears fell from her eyes, but he ignored them.
”No… I’m gonna… I’m gonna… even though I don’t want to… aahh…”
He kept moving, her pleas fueling his arousal.
”Auh… please… stop…”
She begged, tears streaming down her face, but he didn’t stop. Finally, he released himself inside her once more, and she climaxed again, arching her back.
”Haa… haa…”
Satisfied, Kanata pulled out, leaving her limp on the floor. But he wasn’t done. He turned her onto her back, spread her legs, and thrust inside her again.
”Ahh… please… stop…”
She cried, tears in her eyes, but he ignored her, moving his hips. And…
…
”Sniff… sniff…”
”Stop crying already.”
Kanata tossed her some clothes.
”But… sniff…”
”You were enjoying it in the end. You were moving your hips, begging for more, remember?”
”Sniff… but…”
She blushed, unable to respond.
”Here, the potions. They’re guaranteed to work.”
He handed her two bottles each of the cure-all and Hi-Potion.
”One should be enough, but just in case.”
Hesitantly, she reached for them, looking like she expected him to take them back. He almost raised his hand but stopped himself, handing them over.
No point being cruel here.
”Th-thank you…”
She clutched the bottles tightly and left the room.
”Wait, I forgot to ask your name.”
Kanata watched her walk away, slightly unsteady, and muttered to himself.

Epilogue:
