Akuyaku-Yuri-Rpg 1

Chapter 1 The Boy in a Girl-Love Game

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

[Shin Seyfried. Your cruel deeds have gone far enough. This ends here.]

[W-wait! I, I just wanted you to look at me…]

 [No more excuses! Shining!]

[Gyaahhh!! Why am I, this me, being beaten by someone like you…]

 [Alex—! I was scared!]

 [Layla! I’m glad you’re safe.]

 [I love you.]

 [Me too, Layla.]

…The rival goes down on every route. Poor guy.

My name is Kamiki Makoto—an eroge fanatic to the core. I live for romance games, especially the messy, melodramatic ones.

 Still, what a masterpiece.

The open-world otome RPG, Maidens Fall for the Cross-dressing Maiden, tops my list. After binging countless yuri titles—girl-girl romance—this one is my number one.

There are all kinds of adult-aimed games: tearjerkers, dark stories, pure otome, even action. Genres bloom like weeds after rain. Out of them all, my favorite is yuri—girls falling for girls, tender and fierce.

It started when my little sister lent me this open-world otome RPG. The hero is a beautiful girl in boy’s clothes who wanders the world, tangles hearts with many maidens, and—eventually—falls in love.

There’s combat, romance, adventure—everything. No matter the route, the cross-dressed hero and her girls reach an ending together.

Before this game, I tried every flavor under the sun, but nothing beats it. The characters, the branching routes, the worldbuilding—it all fits me perfectly. I’ve cleared every path, even the hidden ones, and looped the game about ten times.

I just finished the eleventh run—five days with almost no sleep.

”…Oh no. Five days of Maidens x Cross-dressing with no food or water. I’m wiped out. But who could stop with that many adorable heroines? Still, Alexia—the hero—she’s the cutest… huh? Why is my vision tilting…?” Thump.

That was the end of me: Kamiki Makoto, age twenty.

* * *

”—Ugh. My head’s pounding. Where am I?”

I pressed my temples and looked around to get my bearings.

 [Ghehehe!!]

 ”N-no… Shin-kun, help me…!” a small voice cried.

Right nearby stood a squat goblin-like creature, and a tiny silver-haired girl.

I knew that face from somewhere. No—literally minutes ago.

 [Ghehehehe!]

 ”Stop—don’t come any closer!”

The goblin leered and lunged, clawing at the girl’s cloak, tearing fabric with greedy hands.

”Hey! You—what do you think you’re doing!” I shouted.

 [Gigi-kiii?!]

”H-huh? …Shin-kun, didn’t the goblin bonk your head? You fell over…” the girl said, shaking.

I remembered this scene. A childhood flashback: Alexia, our future hero, and Shin Seyfried before they turned into enemies.

As kids, Alexia and Shin often played together. They snuck into the woods behind their parents’ backs—and met a goblin.

The Shin I knew was sly. He pretended to be knocked out with a light hit, then used Alexia as a distraction and ran.

That moment shattered Alexia’s trust. She turned away from boys and grew into a girl who loved girls with her whole heart.

After that, Alexia and Shin soured on each other, and in every route they became bitter rivals who eventually tried to kill each other…

So why am I here inside this flashback?

A second ago I was tackling Layla’s hidden route.

Okay, once more—check my body now. I’m small. Skin smooth. Voice—

 ”A-ah, ah—ah—ah~♪” I sang experimentally.

 [Gigi-gi?!]

”Eek?! Shin-kun, why are you singing all of a sudden…?”

Yep. Clear soprano. This kid—me—has a bell-like tone.

I patted down my frame, testing joints and reach. No mirror, but a polished watch caught my reflection and—

There he was: the child version of the infamous villain boy, Shin Seyfried.

 Given the setup, then—

”Did I reincarnate into Maidens Fall for the Cross-dressing Maiden as the villain boy? …Wait. Something catches. My memories feel scrambled. What is this weird situation?”

 [Gigi-kiii!]

I yelled without meaning to. The goblin, empty-handed but quick, turned and charged straight at me.

”Shin-kun, run! It’ll hurt you!!” Alexia cried.

”…Mm. Right—seeing you so brave, Alexia, is exactly why I like you,” I said, more to steady myself than anything. Rival or not, this was still the girl I’d cheered for through eleven runs.

Her panic snapped me into focus. Thank goodness the goblin was small and carried no weapon. I could throw him if I timed it right.

Don’t let the otaku look fool you. I grew up in a family of fighters.

”Back home—uh, in my past life—my whole family practiced martial arts. I’ve trained since I was little. Come on then, goblin!” I stepped in and hooked his arm. “Hup!”

 [Gigi?!]

 ”…Huh?”

 [Gigi… giii…]

”Not bad, right? Took a national title in jiu-jitsu once—whoa, that was headfirst. Might’ve rattled your brain there.”

”No way,” Alexia whispered. “The Shin-kun who always ran away… beat a goblin?”

Wow. I actually made the tiny hero say “no way” at me.

So Shin really was a brat from the start, huh.

 Focus. First thing—help Alexia up.

I stepped in front of her and held out my hand.

”Can you stand, Alexia? I’m glad you’re safe… truly,” I said, then remembered to soften my tone.

Polite. Careful. In every route, Alexia eventually kills Shin. If I want to live long in this world, I can’t fight her. I need to keep my distance, keep my head down, and keep breathing.

Which means: win her goodwill and don’t get on her bad side.

”Uh—thank you,” she said. “Shin-kun… for helping me.”

”Yes. I’m glad you’re unharmed, Alexia,” I replied.

And that’s how it starts: I died a ridiculous death and woke up as a doomed villain boy. This time, I plan to survive.

It’s the story of me and my greatest rival—Alexia—who may just drown me in affection before she ever draws a blade.

Notes:

• Layla – A maid-in-training for the Seyfried family. She is observing Shin’s dramatic change in behavior after the incident with Alexia.
