Shiori-chan is a total genius. At the very same time, she’s got that pure, unfiltered Mad Scientist spirit.
Lumine-chan and I had been holed up in a lab deep inside the Merchant Guild Kinvale branch, finally laying out the secret Lumine-chan had been holding onto.
”I see. So, you need to ensure the safety of the Original, which means Lumine-chan, you want to kill yourself…to return to that ‘first place,’ right?” Shiori-chan confirmed, her expression terrifyingly calm.
”That’s exactly it,” Lumine-chan insisted. “Come on, Shiori, you try to talk him into it. There’s no risk if I die, but there’s a huge risk if I don’t go back, ya know?”
”But you’ve been back to that world before, haven’t you?” I pointed out.
”I have, but I’m worried this time. Especially since there’s no telling what my Nee-san is planning to do now.” Lumine-chan chewed on her lip, clearly stressed.
Shiori-chan didn’t jot down a single thing. The sheer processing power of that brain is scary when you realize everything is just being filed away and organized inside her head.
”Mmm-hmm… Well, then, why don’t we just make a copy?” she suggested brightly.
”Huh? What are you even talking about?” I asked, utterly confused.
”I mean, Lumine-chan’s disguise Skill is already way past mere camouflage, isn’t it?” Shiori-chan pressed.
”Yeah, I’m aware of that,” Lumine-chan agreed, a hint of pride in her voice. “I’ve been using it for a super-long time, after all.”
It’s the same thing as my Discount Skill, I guess… it seems the more you level up these kinds of skills, the more they just turn into full-on cheats.
”If it fails, we’ll just figure something else out. Let’s treat it as a trial run first,” Shiori-chan chirped.
”No, no, wait a minute! You’re jumping ahead, Shiori-chan! The basic problem is that Lumine-chan can’t return to the ‘first place’ unless she dies, right?” I interjected, trying to keep up with her runaway logic.
”Ah, about that. We’ll just apply Livia-sensei’s teleportation magic to the problem,” Shiori-chan explained, waving a dismissive hand. “I’ve already finished the analysis on that magic, you see. I think any high-level support Magic user could learn it.”
Whoa… she says that so lightly. I’m pretty sure that magic was Livia-sensei’s unique, original creation. The fact that Shiori-chan just casually reverse-engineered it proves just how insane she is.
”That’s incredible. You truly are amazing, Shiori.” I shook my head in grudging admiration.
”Oh, no, it’s nothing, really! It’s just that if you understand the world’s coordinates, you can convert the physical body into Magic Power elements, and…”
”Ah! Thank you! I get it now!” I cut her off instantly.
This was definitely the beginning of a technical explanation that would last for hours. Shiori-chan, interrupted mid-explanation, just nodded with a satisfied smile.
”If you get it, I feel better. So, listen, this plan requires four people.”
”Okay. One of ‘my’ four is me, right? Do I just need to copy the Original, who’s sleeping back in the bus, and follow Shiori’s instructions?” Lumine-chan asked, already adopting a businesslike tone.
”Yep. And while you’re at it, copy yourself too, ‘kay?” Shiori-chan added with an innocent tilt of her head.
Our conversation has completely ditched all sense of ethics. If Shiori-chan had stayed in modern Japan, her opportunities would have been limited, I bet. She has the face of an idol, but her ideas are twisted.
”The second person is me. I need to confirm the coordinates and figure out the return trip. Besides, if I observe the ‘first place’ with my own eyes, I might find a clue about how to get back to Japan.”
”Understood. Who are the third and fourth?”
”Shion-chan and Takumi-kun.”
Shiori-chan named a surprising fourth person. Well, the third person is reasonable enough.
”So, you’re going to have Shion-chan learn the coordinate transfer magic?” I asked.
”That’s right. She has the Magic Power Circulation Skill, so she’s the optimal choice. Both types of magic will consume massive amounts of Magic Power, so we’ll need to fully recharge her over there. Especially the copying process—that’s going to take a fair amount of time and Magic Power, I think.”
”I see.”
Shion-chan… will she cooperate? Still, she probably doesn’t care for this world where Ginga-kun has to fight for his life. She’s the type who would definitely want to return to Japan if she could. And the reason I was chosen as the fourth… I just figured it out.
”Is the reason I’m going along to deal with Shion-chan’s side effect, maybe?” I asked cautiously.
”Yup! You just need to thoroughly screw her into the ground while you’re there, got it? ♥” Shiori-chan purred, a predatory glint in her eyes.
Ugh… I might have to keep that part a secret until we get to the other side. Lumine-chan needs Shion-chan’s Magic Power Circulation Skill for an efficient recharge, as simple restoratives cause Magic Power sickness. And the Circulation Skill has a side effect: a massive boost to libido. In other words, I’ll be having non-stop sex with Shion-chan until Lumine-chan is done with her work.
”It would be even better if Haruka came, but with five people, there’s a risk of running out of Magic Power for the return trip. Let’s stick to the minimum necessary configuration and do our best, ‘kay?” Shiori-chan concluded.
”By the way, how are you going to figure out the coordinates of the Original’s location? I don’t know that at all.” Lumine-chan asked, still looking a little pale.
”Oh, don’t worry. I’m just going to pull the information right out of Lumine-chan’s brain,” Shiori-chan assured her with a sweet smile.
”Eh?” We instinctively looked at each other. Didn’t she just casually drop something absolutely terrifying?
”Ah, it’s not like actual open-skull surgery, so relax! I’m just going to flow Magic Power through her nerves and ‘squish’ her brain a little, ya know? Lumine-chan just needs to sleep through it. If you’re scared, want to use the full-body anesthetic I compounded? It has aphrodisiac effects, so you’ll probably have some hot dreams. That would actually make the brain nerves more active, too,” Shiori-chan suggested, completely unfazed.
”H-hey, Takumi-kun. Do I really have to do this?” Lumine-chan finally pleaded, clearly horrified.
That’s the sign of a true Mad Scientist—she’ll stop at nothing to achieve her goal.
”J-just do your best, Lumine-chan,” I mumbled helplessly.
”You heartless bastard!” she groaned, but in the end, Lumine-chan agreed.
I was promptly kicked out of the Merchant Guild Kinvale, as she needed to concentrate, and the procedure would take time. Wait, we both stripped naked, and Shiori-chan was putting on a penis ring, wasn’t she? I was really curious about that, though…
Shion-chan won’t be back until evening, so the persuasion and strategy meeting will have to wait for tonight. I have some time to kill before picking her up.
Well, I’ve got a mountain of things to do.
I went to the market to have a quick meeting with Grandma Anne about covering for my absence. I need to get to the Original’s location soon, but there’s no guarantee I can return right away.
”You’re a busy one, Takumi-chan. There’s so much your grandma can’t even begin to understand,” Anne-baachan murmured kindly.
”I’m sorry, Grandma. But I’ll do my best for the future.”

I checked on the status of the other countries, but there seemed to be no major movements. Well, a country wouldn’t shift its policies in just a few days. Once I get back, I want to arrange meetings with Sheryl and Nyx. It’s hard to come up with a pretext for meeting either of them, so some diplomatic maneuvering will be required. I might even have to sneak out. Quvar’s Imperial Capital is a bit far, so I’d prefer for them to come closer to the border from the Imperial Capital…
Next, it was off to the Merchant Guild Katarina. I greeted the classmates who had started working on the administrative side, then received reports in the Guildmaster’s office, making decisions where they were requested.

”Understood, Lord Takumi. We are attempting to contact Rusty via our branch network. With your permission, we are using the names of Eris-sama and Meruru-sama in case of memory loss. For Dalcur-sama, we’ve sent a message stating our intent to hire the Ironblood Mercenaries,” Marina-san reported smoothly.
”Thank you. That’s just what I’d expect from Marina-san and Ranka-san.”
The reward for a job well done in this guild is love. I pulled the two of them close and kissed them.
”Do you want my ck as a reward, too?” I asked, my voice low.
”Yes, please. I know you’re busy, but if you wouldn’t mind, once each in the vagina…” Marina-san gasped, her eyes already glazing over.
I braced my hands on the desk and put the silver-haired, dark-skinned sisters in doggy position, entering them both from behind.

Became the world’s strongest after acquiring the ‘Dark Emperor of the Abyss’ as a familiar. Exhibits exhibitionist tendencies, often seeking public intimacy with Takumi. • Anne – Grandmother of the councilor representing the Market in McGaref.

• Sheryl – Second Princess of the Quvarian Empire, a striking beauty with red hair. Initially appears as a diplomatic envoy, but she is a reformer within the empire, seeking to atone for Quvar’s past betrayals, particularly the destruction of the Northern Kingdom. Sheryl is highly intelligent and politically savvy, using her position to gather secrets and undermine the empire’s plans to destroy McGaref. She is also a slave to Takumi, bound by enslavement magic, and tasked with sowing chaos within Quvar. Despite her circumstances, she maintains a sense of duty and hopes to bring about change. • Eris – Rusty’s daughter and commander of the all-female Order of Knights, loyal elf warrior with a widow-like warmth. Mother of Meruru, thus Rusty’s granddaughter, tying three generations to Takumi. Beautiful with short golden hair and armor, she blends practicality with tenderness. First appears v9c12. Reminder: Knightly daughter balancing steel and maternal grace.
• Dalcur – Mercenary leader; defects to the protagonist’s clan; physically imposing, known as ‘The Strong’.
• Marina – Ranka’s older sister. The formal owner of Merchant Guild Katarina.
