”Lady Lindworm,” Lin Hyde piped up, his voice eager and obsequious, “with all due respect, now that the Senate and Chairman Luva have fallen, you’ll be the one to gather the Albion Empire together, won’t you? Fafnir-sama did say so just moments ago!”
”Aye, that’s right. That’s why we threw in with ye lot, Lady Lindworm!” Ebrit eagerly added.
”Lin Hyde and Ebrit, ye little toadies ¹ of Fafnir. Always so bloody loud,” Lindworm muttered, shaking her head. “And to say ‘with all due respect’ when the Capital’s practically ruined—what rot are ye talkin’ about, ye fools?”
That idiot (Shin) hasn’t even been gone from the Regain Kingdom for a full week, has he?
He left, and on that very day, he completely destroyed the Nova army—Albion Empire’s finest—right?
He defeated Fafnir, the head of the Five Purple Dragons, dragged his subordinates over to our side, and then… he unilaterally trampled and seized my dragon-infested Lindworm Territory and Rism Territory—where all the Albion airships and military gathered! Is that lad a walking calamity, or what?
I never in all my long years thought the Albion Empire’s military might would be driven to the brink of collapse in such a terrifyingly short time.
”What’s the matter, ma’am? We’ve all sworn our fealty to Fafnir-sama, haven’t we?” Lin Hyde inquired, trying to seem firm.
”More importantly, what’s going to happen to us now, Lady Lindworm?” Ebrit pressed.
”Well, that lad doesn’t have a lick of interest in the Albion Empire, does he? Said he’d just pop off once his wish was granted. After that, we’ll run the country around my granddaughter (Yulize) and the Five Purple Dragons, I suppose. He even said he’d bring back the Nova army he tossed somewhere—except for the ones he liked, mind you,” Lindworm explained, her tone grudging.

”So, hey! I got Lindworm Territory and Fafnir-san, so now I’m gonna summon Lin-chan using the Sacred Artifact: Shield of the Old Knight, got it? Here we go! Sacred Artifact Liberation! 《Old Knight’s Shield: Reflecting Mirror》.” Shin cheerfully announced.

When I was summoned, that Shield of the Old Knight made some truly bizarre noises, I tell ye.

”Wait, wait, wait! You idiot! You got Lindworm Territory, ye say? How in all the hells is that possible? Ye haven’t even been to the Albion Empire for a full day!” Lindworm’s voice boomed through the magical connection.

And then, as I stepped out from the mirror, there was a nasty shock of static electricity—it felt truly awful, indeed.
”Oopsie! Since the original owner of the Old Knight’s Shield, Carroll-san, has a shiny bald head, maybe the Sacred Artifact Liberation caused a big static shock, huh? What do ya think, Luna-kun, the talking cat?” Shin giggled, completely unconcerned.
MrowwwASSSSSSS! “It’s Luna, meow, Master.”
”Uh-huh, uh-huh! Our team-up gag with all the things to correct worked out perfectly, Lin-chan! Hurry up and make the Lindworm Territory belong to you again, will ya?” Shin pressed.
”…Where is this place? Why are all these little crustal shifts happening everywhere? Is this truly the Lindworm Territory, I wonder?” Lindworm grumbled, observing the strange landscape.
”Yeah, it is! As proof, lookie here! It’s Fafnir-san, and he’s almost dead!” Shin cheerily replied, pulling Fafnir—who was only wearing his underwear—from a black, coffin-like container and handing him over.
”…Master Lindworm, please, flee. This cute boy is far too dangerous.” Fafnir groaned, barely conscious.
”Ye did this to Fafnir, the Golden Dragon? He was the best of all my pupils!” Lindworm exclaimed, shocked.
”Oh, really? That’s neat. But hey, just hurry and make Lindworm Territory yours. Once that’s done, I’m gonna attack that place called the Floating Island and take that too!” Shin insisted.
”…No one can conquer that impregnable Floating Island, ye fool (Shin).” Lindworm warned.
”It’s fine if I just teleport everyone there to ‘Paradise,’ right? Come on, let’s hurry to the Floating Island. That’s how you get directly above the Albion Imperial Capital, yeah?” Shin asked, impatient.
”F-Fine. Stop rushing me, then. Very well… I’ll do it, so wait a moment! Lin… Lindworm commands! Lindworm Territory, merge with me once more, and temporarily rewrite your territory marker to the Regain Kingdom!” Lindworm declared with firm authority.
…Understood. My Dragonewt.
”Good. That does it. Now, the Lindworm Territory will be momentarily mistaken for Regain Kingdom land, and we can transport Red-kun near the Albion Imperial Capital through the Mirror World ²…” Lindworm explained the plan.
”Oh! Hey, Lin-chan, there’s a reef-sized island coming from the north sky! Is that the Floating Island?” Shin interrupted, pointing.
”Ye didn’t listen to a single word I said, did ye, ye idiot… Aye, that’s right. That’s our great Albion Empire’s pride, the Floating Island, Rism Territory! That’s where the formidable military and all the airships gather!” Lindworm roared.
”Hmm. So Lala-chan and the others are there, too. Perfect timing! Let’s go ahead and take that place, too. Come with me, Lin-chan! You can give me the tour! 《Twin Simultaneous Teleportation (Twins)》” Shin proclaimed, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
”W-Wait! That’s an impregnable fortress! If ye go alone, ye’ll only be captured and killed!” Lindworm cried out in alarm.

(Three Days Ago, Rism Territory, the Great Floating Island, amidst screams of terror)
”Teleportation Magic, run-run-ruu~♪ Solo-solo-solo-solo-Twins-Twins-Solo-Twins-Solo-Twins-Twins-Solo-solo! Y’know, fighting fair face-to-face is cool, but don’t you think it’s way more efficient to just individually send everyone to Paradise, Lin-chan?” Shin chattered happily.
”No! Run! He blocks everything and then erases you without a trace!” A soldier screamed in pure terror.
”Nooo! Nooo! Will no one help—” Another shrieked.
”It’s merciless! My comrades are vanishing one after the other…” A third shuddered.
”W-We’re sorry! We apologize for attacking first! Please, just let us live—” One soldier pleaded.
”…That fool Merlin! What an outrageous ability (teleportation magic) he bestowed upon that outrageous brat! The nightmare is that the idiot’s (Shin) magic power is practically limitless, and for individual teleportation, his automatic magic restoration finishes before the magic cost even registers!” Lindworm groaned, horrified by the efficiency.
”L-Lady Lindworm! Please! At least save us!” A guard begged.
”You’ll meet again in about two years! In a brand-new world!” Shin chortled, saying some nonsensical thing as he mercilessly kept teleporting everyone in Rism Territory who dared oppose him to some unknown place.
”Shin-sama~! I finally found you~! I’ve been looking all over! What is that broken toy you’ve got? That couldn’t possibly fool Lala, who truly loves Shin-sama, not for a—” Lala began to rave as she and Alt-kun finally arrived.
”Shin-sama, now that we’re here, you can finally relax—” Alt asserted.
”Solo-Solo, Twins… Oh, sorry! Lala-chan and Alt-kun! I accidentally sent you guys to the Falkt Grassland in Schtal Territory!” Shin apologized with zero sincerity.
”Schtal Territory, ye say? …Surely they’re being chased by tens of thousands of Violet Centaurs right about now, aren’t they?” Lindworm wondered aloud.
(Schtal Territory)
”MOOAAARRR!!” The Centaurs bellowed in unison.
”Shin-sama!! Is this another part of your love language, then?!” Lala shrieked as she ran.
”Why are we suddenly in such an open field?!” Alt yelled in panic.
Despite the strange little accidents, that idiot Shin managed to secure both the Lindworm Territory and Rism Territory in just over a week, and he entrusted them to us.
And now, he’s ridden that captured Rism Territory to the Albion Imperial Capital and used Fafnir to utterly destroy the city itself. That wicked child of Seyfried. He was every bit the brat I heard tell of, and worse.
And now, here we are—

”Lin Hyde and Ebrit, take the soldiers who surrendered on Rism Territory and go deal with the remaining Senate guards. I’ve seen his power and his guts up close, and I’ve made up my mind… Purple Dragon, Dragon Play! 《Great-Winged Purple Dragon (Lindworm Scandinavia)》!” Lindworm boomed, transforming into her majestic dragon form.
”…Lady Lindworm’s Dragon form?” Lin Hyde gasped.
”It’s beautiful,” Ebrit whispered in awe.
”Go, then… to return the Albion Empire to the proper nation it was a thousand years ago,” Lindworm roared.
”Yes, ma’am!” They replied with newfound vigor.

”We entered on Shin-sama’s signal, but…” Lala murmured, clutching his hood.
(A super-short decisive battle?) Alt’s voice echoed in his mind.
(Yeah, yeah. With the strength of the Star Twelve Apostles right now, they’d only last half a day against the Five Purple Dragons, except for maybe Alt-kun and Anastasias-san.) Shin mentally commented.
(Th-That may be true, but even for Shin-sama, half a day to take down an entire country is too short… Uhm?!) Alt responded, confused.
(What are you talking about, my Lala-chan? I’m only taking down one capital and a few silly folks with nine heads, that’s all. See? That’s easy, right?) Shin chided his ally.
”Is that Chairman Luva-san? He looks disgusting, like a cross between a snake and a dragon,” Lala whispered that thought right beside me.
I really wish she wouldn’t clutch my hood like that when she’s scared.
[To dare challenge this Chairman Luva—what an unruly scoundrel you are…] Luva, the gross one, was saying something.
Hmm? Huh? Wait a minute. That’s not… No, that has to be it, right? That staff decoration and the necklace around that gross Luva-san’s neck.
”The Sacred Artifact: Scale-Orb of the Reclining Dragon and the Sacred Liquid Crystal of the Dragon, you say? ³… Kamiki Takeomi Style! 《Heaven-Shattering Blast Palm!》” Shin shouted, recognizing the items.
[Huh? How does a terrorist like you know those names…] Luva began to bellow.
CRACK! CRUNCH! BOOOOMMM!!
”Oh, man! I’ve been looking for those two Sacred Artifacts forever! Thanks so much for bringing them right to me! I’ll take them with my gratitude! As a thank you, I’ll blast you all the way to Lacus, got it? Bye-bye~!” Shin called out with a gleeful wave.
[GYYYYAAH??! …AAGGHH! My body is being blown awaaay?!] Luva shrieked as he vanished.
Sayonara, all the way to the ends of the earth~! 《Heaven-Shattering Blast Palm!》 is one of the martial arts moves I used to use in my past life, and when I use it in this world, the power is just insane.
Orphen-san said it’s because my magic power and some kind of ‘ki’ blend together, which makes the destructive force totally level up.
Because of that, that gross Luva-san got launched super far away. Poor guy, huh?
”S-Shin-sama. You possessed a technique like that?” Lala gasped, eyes wide.

Apparently, by temporarily making Rism Territory a provisional Regain Kingdom Territory, I was able to temporarily extend the traveling range of the Mirror World. Isn’t that just a great contrivance?
”And now, Contractor Shin Seyfried… Sacred Artifacts: 《Scale-Orb of the Reclining Dragon》 and 《Sacred Liquid Crystal of the Dragon》, Contract Complete! That means these two Sacred Artifacts belong to me, so… Appear now, Dual-Headed Dragons (Shiv and Ruv)!” Shin declared, completing the ritual.
The Sacred Artifacts: 《Scale-Orb of the Reclining Dragon》 and 《Sacred Liquid Crystal of the Dragon》 glowed red and blue… No need to worry, they’re not the ones with multiple orbs. If I had five more, I might be able to summon a Divine Dragon, y’know.
Suddenly, the entire Albion Empire territory went dark, like it was night… Huh? Wait, this phenomenon? No way, is it?
“ROOAAAR! Thank you for summoning us!” The red dragon boomed.
“We shall grant you two wishes, within the scope of our power!” The blue dragon proclaimed.
They told me that. Well, darn, only two wishes, not three, huh?
”I have two requests, Dual-Headed Dragons 《Shiv and Ruv》-sama. The first is to lift the curse on Red-kun and me. The second is to grant Red and me complete immunity to all curse-related effects!” Shin requested clearly.
[Wait, wait, wait, wait!! How did you summon them?! Why now?! I am the owner! My first wish is for you to make me immortal! And the second is to make the Albion sleeping in the altar my obedient servant!] Luva, the gross one, crawled back in, half his body missing, and hurriedly demanded his two wishes.
But you see, the words you use when making a wish…
“…Aye. Understood. We shall grant those two wishes,” the red dragon replied.
“Those are simple wishes, indeed,” the blue dragon agreed.
[Ohhh! Now I’m completely immortal and have the power of Albion! I can finally stand up to those barbarians and…] Luva babbled in triumph.
“We shall break the curses placed upon the merciful Human Child and the Young Dragon, and bestow upon the lovely Human Child and Young Dragon complete immunity to all curse-related effects… The wishes are granted. We shall now enter into eternal slumber under your care.” The dragons declared in unison.
”Yup! Got it. Feel free to do so~!” Shin replied brightly.
“Farewell!” The Dual-Headed Dragons 《Shiv and Ruv》 roared their farewell and then just willingly entered my storage charm.
Whew! Well, that was great! Now Red-kun and I have our curses lifted and complete immunity against any new ones!
[…No way. Impossible. Why did you grant that brat’s wishes instead of mine, Shiv and Ruv?!] Luva screamed in disbelief.
”They won’t even respond unless you ask in Japanese ⁴, gross Luva-sa… No, wait. I was supposed to be Jin from the Shin-kyō (Religion of Shin) just now… No, wait. Chairman Luva. If you don’t know the Ancient Language, Shiv and Ruv-sama won’t accept your wishes. What a shame!” Shin smirked, rubbing it in.
[Impossible impossible impossible impossible! This can’t be happening!] Luva wailed in utter defeat.
”What just happened is the truth. Now, one of my missions in this country is complete. Next, Chairman Luva-dono… let me help you with your end. Kamiki Takeomi Style! 《White Key Strike!》” Shin stated with a predatory grin.
[Hmph! An impact wave? That won’t affect a True Dragon such as myself…] Luva scoffed.
”But the bottom half of your torso is now gone without a trace, though. You should probably stop with all that useless bravado and start fighting seriously. The person you’re facing right now is the wicked child who conquered Night Alice.” Shin smiled that unsuitable smile at the gross Luva.
