”Mmm, mmm… where am I, exactly?”
Hirose blinked open his heavy eyelids and found himself staring up at a strange ceiling. His memory felt fuzzy, and he couldn’t recall when he’d fallen asleep or why, not one little bit.
All he could register was the bright light streaming through the curtains, confirming it was morning, for sure.
”Ugh… my head hurts…”
”Huh?”
A sweet, soft voice murmured right beside him. He turned his face to the right, and there was a goddess-like face that hadn’t even begun to take off her makeup yet. It wasn’t Hibiki, though. The person was—
”Nikaidou-san!?” Hirose gasped out in disbelief.
”Oh, mornin’~” Nikaidou Koi, the super-popular model, was sleeping right next to him. What’s more, she was completely naked. She rubbed her head, showing signs of a hangover, but her face was still utterly gorgeous, even so.
”Mm~~~ what is it?”
”Still sleepy…”
”…morning?”
”Eh…”
Suddenly, the blanket on his left side and the rest of the bedding began to rustle, and three more voices chimed in. Hirose checked them all—on his left was Awashima Aya, and tangled up under the blanket were Kido Sara and Hibiki. Every single one of them was stark naked.
”Ugh, are you kidding me!?” he wailed.
”Too loud~ Can you keep it down?” Hibiki complained.
”…Warm. Snuggle closer…” Aya murmured, grabbing his left arm and clamping it firmly between her breasts.
”Hirose… morning,” Saara drawled, popping her head out from under the blanket.
”It is NOT a good morning!” he protested.
Hirose was just as naked as they were. As Aya squeezed his left arm, Saara and Hibiki peeked their faces out from the covers.
”We… really did it, didn’t we?” Hirose lamented, staring up at the ceiling. Though any man should have been thrilled by the situation, he just sighed in resignation.

”Oh, it’s Guu-min.”
Since it was a day off for both Hirose and Hibiki, they hadn’t gone to school and had just stayed over at Ren’s place. Their memories were fuzzy, but they definitely remembered it being a wild, messy night.
After waking up, the five of them showered and fixed breakfast, eating together in front of the television. The news report currently playing featured the idol group ‘SPICE MIX,’ or ‘Supami’ as they were called.
”*The leader of ‘SPICE MIX,’ Minami Nagumo-san, is reportedly taking a long-term leave due to a worsening herniated disc.*”
”What!? Wait, Guu-min is!?” Ren exclaimed, her face twisting in shock as she used her friend’s nickname.
”Are you interested in that news?” Hibiki asked.
”Well… Guu-min is with the same agency as me, and I’ve watched her work so hard for years now, so…” Ren answered Hibiki’s query. “Supami” was a three-girl idol group formed five years ago when they were teens, and they’d become one of Japan’s most famous groups. From her words, Ren seemed quite close to Minami Nagumo.
”She did look like she was having back pain sometimes, but she actually had a herniated disc… That’s rough, especially with how intense their dancing is,” Hibiki commented, also familiar with ‘SPICE MIX.’
”Supami’s biggest selling point is their dancing, after all,” Saara agreed, munching on her food.
Their singing ability was fine, but their most notable feature was their distinctive, intense choreography. If such intense dancing worsened her herniated disc, it was possible Minami might have to quit the group entirely.
”Guu-min kept saying that Supami was just getting started… A back issue is super serious, though,” Ren mumbled worriedly.
”Yeah, a back issue is a game-ender for any sport or performing career. Even a model would have trouble walking gracefully,” Saara affirmed.
Ren then leaned close to Hirose’s ear.
”—Hey, Hirose. Can’t you fix her back? Don’t you have some kind of Gift like that?”
”Uh… no, I don’t. I’m sorry,” Hirose apologized awkwardly.
”Oh, don’t look so down about it. I was just asking,” Ren sighed gently. She had hoped Hirose could save her friend Minami, but he simply didn’t possess a Gift that could fix a spine yet.
After finishing breakfast, Hirose and Hibiki prepared to leave Ren’s house first.
”Let’s hang out again soon, you two,” Ren offered.
”Bye-bye!” Saara waved.
”Hibiki-tan, see ya later~” Aya called out.
The three girls saw them off at the entrance.
”We’re off!” Hibiki said brightly.
”Thank you for having us,” Hirose added, and they gave a quick bow before exiting the house.

”That was a wild day…”
It was winter, near Christmas time. No snow was falling, but the temperature was frigid. Hirose was bundled up in a down jacket, and Hibiki was wearing a coat.
”I honestly didn’t think we’d stay over. I was gonna go home, but then you got drunk, Hibiki!” he lamented.
”You were sucking on Ren-chan’s breast milk, so what are you talking about?” Hibiki teased.
”No, no… who wouldn’t drink that? It’s probably some kind of Skill she has,” he rationalized.
”That’s true… Once I started, there was something about it that made me not want to stop…”
Hirose and Hibiki had shared Ren’s milk. The shocking event was still crystal clear in their memories, even if the rest of the night was still hazy.
”But I’m glad Ren-chan seems back to her old self,” Hibiki smiled.
”Yeah. Her chest size is up another rank, too. She should be able to restart her modeling career now,” Hirose noted.
”Haa… I’m so happy. I want to see Ren-chan on TV again soon!” Hibiki chirped, grabbing Hirose’s arm happily as they walked toward the nearest station.
Just then, Hirose froze.
”—Ah… I got it.”
”Huh?” Hibiki tilted her head at his sudden, unusual reaction.
”Th-this is…!”
”Hirose?”
”The back! The bones!”
”What?”
”That idol girl! I might be able to help her! The herniated disc!” Hirose shouted.
”Eeehh!” Hibiki yelled back in surprise.
Just moments after Ren had brought her up, Hirose had suddenly acquired the Skill that might be able to heal Minami Nagumo’s herniated disc.

”—Oww, oww, oww…”
In an apartment room somewhere, a young girl on a bed was carefully pushing herself up, clutching her lower back.
”Guu-min, are you okay? Should we change the bed? Maybe one of those electric adjustable ones?” asked Kiyo.
”Yeah, you shouldn’t be using your back too much, you know~” Rui added sweetly.
Guu-min, or Minami Nagumo, the leader of the idol group ‘SPICE MIX,’ was being surrounded by her two worried bandmates, Kiyo Hondou (‘Kii-yon’) and Rui Ogata (‘Rui-rui’).
”Yeah… I’ll think about it. I have to deal with this for a long time, don’t I?” Minami sighed.
A herniated disc. It was a fatal injury for an idol group centered on intense dancing. She’d first noticed the back pain two years ago and had been pushing through it until the continuous, intense dancing finally pushed her to her breaking point.
”We told you to stop the Christmas live, but you’re so stubborn, Guu-min,” Kiyo chastised gently.
”I felt terrible for the fans who bought tickets. Stopping halfway wasn’t an option for me,” Minami insisted.
”But that’s no good if it leads to a situation where you might not ever be able to perform again~” Rui lamented, her voice simple but sincere.
The Christmas Dome Live. She’d powered through the long concert despite the pain, but collapsed right after. Following a hospital visit, she was ordered to rest at home, but walking was now difficult without assistance.
”Yeah… you’re absolutely right. I just want to live my life to the fullest right now… But I’m sorry for worrying you two.”
”Come on, that’s fine already~ The real worry is figuring out how we’re going to manage with this natural airhead now, though…” Kiyo teased, gesturing to Rui.
”Hey! I heard that! I object!” Rui pouted innocently.
Rui was known even among fans for being a natural airhead, while Minami, the leader, was the stubborn, charging bull who ran ahead. Kiyo was the one who skillfully balanced the two of them. Therefore, losing even one member would severely cripple ‘SPICE MIX’s’ activities.
”Well, well. For now, let’s just spend New Year’s here together,” Kiyo suggested warmly.
”I agree!” Rui cheered.
”Thank you for being so thoughtful. But I really am happy,” Minami murmured.
New Year’s was fast approaching. They were supposed to be planning their next steps with new goals, but it was now clear the holiday would be a bit somber. That’s why the two girls had decided to stay with Minami.
”I wonder if your Gift can’t do something about it, Guu-min~” Rui mused.
”My ‘Soft Body’ Gift doesn’t do anything for the bones. It just makes my body more flexible than a normal person,” Minami explained.
”Then again, it’s because of that flexibility that you have that impossible-to-imitate dance style,” Kiyo admitted.
Minami’s dancing was truly extraordinary, even within ‘SPICE MIX.’ It was largely due to her Gift, ‘Soft Body’ (Nantai): graceful, gymnastic moves and incredible physical flexibility. That was her weapon. However, her bones simply couldn’t keep up with her Gift. Even with a power, there were limits.
”My Gift… It’s what made me famous, but maybe it’s also what shortened my idol life,” Minami reflected sadly.
”I wish I had a Gift that could fix you, Guu-min!” Rui cried out, frustrated.
”Even Adventurers have healing Gifts, but it’s rare to hear of one that can fix bones. She’ll probably just have to start physical therapy slowly…” Kiyo reasoned.
”Yeah… hmm?”
Just then, Minami’s phone rang, indicating an incoming call. She gave her bandmates an eye-signal before picking up.
”—Ren-chan Senpai!? It’s been a while!” Minami greeted the caller enthusiastically.
The person who called Minami was Nikaidou Koi, the model from the same agency.

• Awashima Aya – one of Koi’s closest friends and a top-tier model, known for her vibrant, sexually forward personality, especially when drunk. She has an attractive, model physique and wears stylish party clothes. She is quick to engage in sexual acts, enjoying both male and female partners, and sees the party as an opportunity for unrestrained fun.
• Kido Sara – another of Koi’s close friends, a top model who is a German quarter, giving her distinct, beautiful features. Like Aya, she is highly sexual and playful when intoxicated.
