Chapter 37 The Early Morning Visitor and the Consequences of ‘Experimentation’

The next morning, I was wrapped up in the potent scent and soft, warm flesh of three women when I was woken by the persistent ringing of the back door bell. I hadn’t really slept much, so it must have been early. Who in the world would be calling at this hour?
”Hey, everyone, wake up!” I called out.
”No more, Master. My lady-bits are going to be ruined, I tell you—ooh…♡” Lily’s voice slurred with sleepy affection.
”Nnn~… I demand cuddles and kisses…” Tania muttered from beside me.
”Fwah… is it time for prayers already…?” Amelia’s voice was the most distorted, barely a whisper.
The three of them were scattered about in utterly disheveled positions, with last night’s fluids still dripping down their thighs, giving me answers I couldn’t tell if they were awake or asleep. Realizing I was on my own for this one, I kneaded a few breasts and stroked a thigh—a bit of harmless morning groping—to extract myself from this female labyrinth.
I, too, was naturally stark naked, with my shaft—stained with their ‘honeydew’—swinging about, so I quickly threw on some clothes and hurried toward the back door. The bell kept ringing the whole time. Clearly, this visitor was a very impatient sort.
”Yes, yes, who is it?” I asked, opening the door.
”It’s me.”
”Ah, Aki-neesan…!”
Standing there was Aki-neesan, the Tiger Beast-person from my adventurer days, who’d looked out for me. We had just bumped into each other on the street yesterday and discussed the suspension of the ‘Tremble-Ddo-Buddy’ sales. Maybe she’d come to follow up on our conversation?
”S-Sorry to keep you waiting, I…” I stammered, profusely apologetic.
”Nah, it’s my bad for coming so early. You were still sleeping, weren’t you?” she countered.
”No, not at all! I was just about to get up,” I lied, trying to look presentable.
”What are you saying with that messy hair? Don’t try to be so formal with me.”
Aki-neesan chuckled heartily, a great sound that made me feel instantly better. She was just as easygoing and wonderful as ever. I felt like I’d owe her a debt of gratitude for the rest of my life.
”I’m sorry, but this is about what we talked about yesterday. Mind if I come in?”
”Ah, yes, of course—oh, wait, just a second! It’s a bit, no, a lot inconvenient right now!”
I was about to nod her inside when the full horror of the room’s state hit me. Lily was one thing, and Tania was another, but the biggest problem was Sister Amelia. I was planning to talk to Aki-neesan about the Sister and the Church’s involvement only after I’d figured things out. Letting them meet now felt like a disaster waiting to happen.
That wasn’t even the worst of it; my partners were sprawled out in scandalous poses after a night of intense ‘experimentation,’ wrapped in an utterly obscene smell of passion. I couldn’t let Aki-neesan see that! I had to, at the very least, get them into the bath and into proper clothing.
I frantically tried to come up with an excuse, but my effort was in vain as Aki-neesan simply stepped forward, pushing past me.
”Why are you so flustered, kid? You were probably getting busy with Lily again last night, right? I can smell the scent of male and female all over you and this room. I don’t care, so just let me in, quickly.”
”N-No, I’m serious, it’s a big problem!” I protested.
She shoved my body aside and strode into the room. Her famously bold personality had completely backfired on me. True, she had looked after me countless times and seen me in plenty of pathetic states, so normally I wouldn’t care if she saw me now. But this was not a normal day.
Me chasing after her, and Aki-neesan ignoring me. She got a perfect view of the aftermath of a night of serious play: the tableau of pink, new-green, light-blue, and a whole lot of flesh and white sheets… Finally, Aki-neesan froze and slowly turned back to face me.
”Kento, you really…” she said, her voice dripping with disbelief.
”I-It’s not what you think…” I squeaked.
Her voice and expression were so utterly aghast that all I could do was stand there, sweating profusely and barely able to speak.

Later…
”Well, I suppose it’s none of my business how many women you choose to collect, but still…” she stated.
”No, that’s not…” I began to object.
”Are you going to take responsibility for them? I mean, besides the sales suspension thing, your shop seems to be doing fine, though.”
”O-Only thanks to you, yes…” I confirmed, lowering my head.
”Listen to me, boy: a man can’t just rely on his manhood. He also needs to have ambition and means, you know?”
”You are absolutely correct,” I conceded, knowing I was in no position to argue.
Sitting cross-legged in the middle of the room, sipping the tea I’d served, Aki-neesan delivered her well-deserved lecture. I’d had to make her wait while I got Lily and the others into the bath, so my already high debt to her only grew, forcing me to keep my answers small and meek.
”Now, now, Aki-sama. Please don’t bully our Master so much,” Lily countered playfully.
”Lily, you’re just as bad! You need to hold onto this guy’s coin purse, or he’ll get himself into trouble!” Aki-neesan scolded.
”Oh, I am holding onto his ‘purse,’ which is why we’re in this situation, I’d say… I fully agreed to it, and I did it for the Master and the shop, so please don’t worry,” Lily chirped unconcerned.
”Is that so? Well, if you say so, I suppose. I’d hate for my cute junior to get stabbed to death by some jealous woman, after all.”
”Leave that to us! If our Master dies, it’ll only be from exhaustion—nothing more serious!”
”That would be equally terrible, please spare me that one, too…” I groaned, utterly mortified.
Right in front of me, Lily and Aki-neesan were having a vulgar, morbid conversation. As an ex-adventurer and Beast-person, Aki-neesan wasn’t fazed in the slightest by this. Instead, it was Tania and Amelia who looked truly uncomfortable. Aki-neesan then turned her attention to Tania.
”Well, I have to say, I never expected the ‘Divine Bow Tania¹‘ to end up as Kento’s woman…”
”I-I’m not! Aki, I am not Kento’s woman! I am simply assisting with the ‘experimentation’ of his shop’s products and…” Tania argued defensively.
”Oh, come on, cut the act. Don’t try to hide it. Giving your body to him until your hips were sore? That’s a bit much to explain away, wouldn’t you say?” Aki-neesan pressed, a smirk playing on her lips.
Aki-neesan teased Tania relentlessly. It turned out they knew each other; they had even adventured in the same party a few times when Aki-neesan was younger. Tania had been an adventurer in this Royal Capital for a long time, so I suppose it made sense. After a while of tormenting Tania, Aki-neesan changed her expression and turned to Amelia.
”And now for the real problem. You’re a Sister from the Church of Demon-Subjugation, aren’t you?”
”T-This was not an act of debauchery, I assure you! I-It was a virtuous act combining ‘experimentation,’ ‘discipline,’ and an ‘audit’!” Amelia stammered, offering a flustered defense.
Aki-neesan glared at Amelia, who continued to make excuses. Sadly, I hadn’t been able to hide Amelia’s presence. Thankfully, there was no immediate bloodshed, but I had been forced to explain that she was a Sister from the Church of Demon-Subjugation, especially since her only clothing was her habit.
”I don’t care about your flowery language. My issue is what you intend to do, snooping around this shop. If you try to interfere with Kento’s business any further and take away the one thing that brings relief to our young women, I won’t show any mercy!” Aki-neesan bellowed.
”…Our relief?” Amelia whispered, completely bewildered by Aki-neesan’s sudden shift in focus.
Aki-neesan let out a growl deep in her throat, her pupils widening as she flashed her fangs and claws. Amelia was clearly lost. I hurriedly stepped between the two women.
”Wait, just a minute, Aki-neesan, Amelia! Please let me explain!”
”Y-Yes, Master…” Amelia agreed nervously.
”Hmph. Fine, but make it quick,” Aki-neesan grunted.
I began by explaining the situation to Aki-neesan: Amelia had been sent by the Church to investigate the danger of our products, but after last night’s ‘experimentation,’ she had given a largely positive assessment of their effectiveness.
”Hah. So you’ve gone and eaten the Church’s emissary, is that it?” Aki-neesan summarized, a wry look on her face.
”W-Well, when you put it that way, yes… but the shop couldn’t just hand over a prototype so easily, and I think this was the most diplomatic way to handle it.”
”I know you’re not the type for a fight, but couldn’t you have just gently brushed her off and relied on me for help?”
”With all due respect, I couldn’t be so easily fooled, either. If you had kept putting me off, I would have been forced to take a harsher stance. Kento-san made the correct choice,” Amelia countered, her voice regaining some of its formal stiffness.
”…Kento, how in the world did you manage to tame a stubborn Church Sister?” Aki-neesan asked, completely baffled.
”U-Uh, ha-ha-ha…” I laughed nervously, unable to answer.
”I didn’t know you were such a formidable man, kid… Well, alright. I understand. The main thing is this girl isn’t trying to hurt the shop, right?”
”That would be a great help if you could see it that way.”
Aki-neesan grudgingly accepted my explanation. I then turned to Amelia to tell her about the Beast-person Association’s booming demand for our products and how the ‘Tremble-Ddo-Buddy’ was an excellent countermeasure for their ‘heat’ period. After hearing everything, Amelia fell silent in deep thought before finally speaking slowly.
”…I apologize, but this discussion is beyond my authority.”
”That’s what I figured,” Aki-neesan noted simply.
”However, if I may offer my personal opinion, the re-sale of the ‘Tremble-Ddo-Buddy’ should be considered. I will advocate for that direction.”
”Oh, well, now, that’s a surprisingly reasonable thing to say! Kento, that’s thanks to your man-power!” Aki-neesan declared, giving my back a harsh slap.
Her tail swayed back and forth, and her tiger ears twitched playfully. She looked adorable, but her strength was no joke, and I coughed reflexively.
”Cough, cough! N-No, I don’t think it was thanks to me at all!” I protested.
”I-It was not. C-Controlling yourself aside, Kento-san, your honest approach to business was clear during my investigation, and it is because you are the proprietor that I wish to cooperate with you.” Amelia stammered, blushing deeply.
”Amelia…” I murmured, genuinely touched.
”Ah, I see where this is going…” Aki-neesan said, giving us a knowing look.
”W-Whatever the case! I must return to make my report. I might get scolded for staying out all night, but I will inform the Mother Superior about the Beast-person Association’s situation,” Amelia declared, her cheeks flushed pink.
Aki-neesan looked at Amelia with a warm, knowing gaze. My initial dread was completely unfounded, and I breathed a sigh of relief.
”Ah, that’s a great help. I’m sorry for the trouble.”
”I-It’s fine. My staying out was entirely my own doing… Also, this is just my opinion, but I believe we will need to have the Beast-person Association investigate if the ‘Tremble-Ddo-Buddy’ is truly effective for women in ‘heat’.”
”What are you saying? You want to pair my young women with Kento like you did? Our Beast-person women prefer strong men. I don’t think you’ll find many volunteers for that,” Aki-neesan said, frowning.
”T-That’s not it! We don’t need to actually pair them up! I just need to observe the use of the ‘Tremble-Ddo-Buddy’… and I think it would be best if both Kento-san and I were present during that observation.” Amelia insisted, still bright red.
”That’s practically the same thing… Well, fine. I’ll pass the message along. Kento, you’ll come with us, won’t you?”
”Of course I will.”
”Thank you,” Amelia said.
With that, the conversation settled down, and Amelia returned to the monastery. I had a strange feeling that we had just acquired a new ‘experiment’ collaborator, but I tried to convince myself it was just my imagination. As Aki-neesan, Lily, and Tania all gave my back a congratulatory slap, I felt a familiar wave of panic and resignation wash over me.

• Tania – An Elf adventurer who, despite her race’s reputation for low sex drive, is secretly quite passionate. She initially seemed ‘wasted’ (emotionally dry) to her friend Raika, but was easily introduced to the pleasure-items sold at ‘Harvest.’ She is easily embarrassed and attempts to maintain a dignified facade, despite her recent, frequent purchases. She wears practical but light armor over a simple cloth tunic and short pants, highlighting her grace and agility. Her primary relationship is one of friendly senior-junior with Raika.
• Amelia – The Sister of the Church of Demon-Subjugating, who usually buys from Kento, has light blue hair.
• Kento – The owner of the magic tool shop ‘Harvest,’ which discretely sells adult goods. He’s a former overworked, ordinary salaryman from modern Japan who was suddenly transported (isekai’d) to this fantasy world. He has dark hair and an unremarkable appearance, typically wearing a plain, slightly suspicious-looking shop owner’s clothes looks like Kazuma Satou from certain series. He has a minimal amount of magic power, enough to craft his specialty items.
