Each of the three had a different color scheme, and a characteristic feature was the slight design variations in their clothing.
”Shou! A barrier! Around us!” Ami-chan shouted.
”Right! ¹Holy Zero Shield!” I yelled.
The ²Slave of Love skill, Holy Zero Shield. This was a skill I acquired when Sardonyx, of the Guardian class, became a Slave of Love.
The effect allowed me to deploy a barrier at any chosen location five times a day. I had practiced a few times; this barrier was more powerful and user-friendly than the ones used by Magical Girls.
After all, as long as the distance wasn’t extreme, I could deploy the barrier instantly anywhere within my line of sight. Furthermore, the size and shape were flexible, and the effect lasted for a maximum of twenty seconds.
Sensing an extraordinary sense of crisis from the tone of Ami-chan’s voice, I deployed the barrier to cover the three of us, intending to protect us from all directions. In that instant—

As the twenty seconds elapsed, I redeployed the barrier.
The Magic Knights retreated once and gathered in one spot, overlapping their sword blades. From there, a rainbow-colored light was born.
”Ami-chan…!” I called out.
”Endure just a bit longer!” Ami-chan replied.
As the three raised their swords, the rainbow light closed in on us. It slammed into the barrier, but we seemed to be holding on somehow.
However, the light showed no sign of stopping. I deployed the third barrier. That left two remaining.
”W-w-waah…!” I cried out.
The light still wouldn’t cease. I grew terrified of the barrier vanishing after twenty seconds, so I deployed the fourth one slightly early. After a while, the light finally subsided.
’You endure even this…! But that is only a defense; it cannot be used indefinitely! I wonder how long you can keep it active…!’ the voice pondered.
”Kuh…!”
A tall girl with a short haircut and a serious-looking class representative type split into two directions and swung their swords.
The other golden-haired beauty kept her distance, moving at high speed while launching mysterious long-range attacks.
From her thrust-out left arm, she was throwing spear-like objects formed of light. A tremendous sound echoed every time they hit the barrier.
In the meantime, the twenty seconds were about to pass, so I deployed the fifth barrier.
”Ami-chan! The barriers are almost…!” I shouted.
”Please, just buy a little more time…!” Ami-chan pleaded.
Ami-chan was definitely trying to do something to overcome this crisis. Would the barriers run out first, or would Ami-chan’s preparations be completed first…!
For nearly these 100 seconds, the three Magic Knights had been launching continuous attacks without pause. There were no openings at all. Even if the barrier vanished, escaping would likely be difficult.
And I could tell by their movements. They were clearly above the level of a Magical Girl. Perhaps only someone like Vectra-san could do something about this.
And finally, the last barrier vanished.
”Kuh…! Uwaaaaaah!” I screamed.
I activated the Slave of Love skill, ³Seikou. Countless bullets of light surged around me. They were fired toward the three Magic Knights.
Wary of an unfamiliar attack, all three took their distance. But they parried all the incoming light bullets with their swords.

The three Magic Knights closed the distance while parrying the light bullets. Just as they loomed right before my eyes and I exhausted the third gauge—
At the exact timing where the lightless-eyed Magic Knight swung her sword and the blade was about to strike the top of my head…
”Eh!?” I gasped.
The surrounding scenery changed, and before my eyes stood the familiar ⁴Great Phantasmal Soulstone.
”Haa, haa, haa, haa…!?” I panted.
”Eh…!? This place is…!?” Reika asked, bewildered.
”Whew! That was actually dangerous this time…! I managed to teleport us, and the anti-tracking measures are perfect…!” Ami-chan said with a sigh of relief.
I… I thought I was going to die! No, I’ve thought that a few times before…! But this time was really scary!
”Ami-chan… I take it we’ve safely returned to the ⁵Dominion… right?” I asked.
”Yes! If I had just teleported normally there, there was a risk of this world’s existence being perceived. I got hung up on the anti-tracking measures for spatial teleportation… If the seal had been broken a bit more, I could have teleported more smoothly, though~” Ami-chan explained.
Ah… come to think of it, only when going from Japan to the other world was I able to teleport from anywhere…

In other words, it would be Tuesday at the earliest. Her grandfather must be worried. Actually, this might normally become a police matter.

• Dum Dum Key – A powerful being, who has taken the form of a stray cat. He is a major figure on a mission to defeat the ‘Orgoamii, the Disrobing Empress of Disaster’ and requires aid—and more of the delicious ‘NN Churuu’.
• Cleonora – The second princess. Have a yellow blonde hair. Usually styled as hairbun. D-cup.
