Chapter 145 Learning About the Empire

After seeing Reika off, I spent three days in Japan. Then, I returned to the Dominion¹ and let everyone know I was back.
Right after returning, as I was having lunch, I received a report from Vectra-san.
”Huh…? An… intruder…?” I asked.
”There is… a possibility of one,” Vectra-san replied.
Apparently, Vectra-san had seen through someone who had erased their presence and approached the castle walls. She said the grass had been stepped on at regular intervals and in a fixed size. No, that’s definitely the kind of thing you wouldn’t normally notice…
”I heard the report from Vectra as well,” one of the girls said.
”The maids are continuing to stay alert, but it seems they haven’t shown themselves since then,” another added.
Hmm… I thought no one could enter the deep parts of the Demon Forest² unless it was a special case like Cleonora… Since I wasn’t here, the Dominator³ skill
At this point, Vectra-san raised her index finger.
”I spoke to myself there for no reason, using the word ‘consort.’ If someone was there, they should have heard it. If a rumor emerges from somewhere in the future saying there is a consort in the Demon Forest…”
”Then the source of that rumor is the intruder from this time,” I finished.
So she set a trap like that… I mean, what’s with Vectra-san’s quick thinking? She totally sounds like she wants to corner the opponent and annihilate them.
But it’s true that, including Lambdaine-san, I’ve never used the word ‘consort’ in front of people before. Only Ami-chan had said that to me. I need to go outside the forest to scout for Magic Girls, so… I guess I should keep an eye on rumors regarding the Demon Forest.
While sharing such surprising information, we headed to the Chamber of the Great Phantasmal Soulstone⁷. It was finally the time I’d been waiting for. I immediately expanded the operation window.

While I was in Japan, it became possible to harvest crops from the Northern Plantation as well. Thanks to that, the Resource Points⁵ have reached an incredible amount. Leveling up is also possible.
”Alright, I’m leveling up right away,” I said.
”Go go!” Ami-chan cheered.
I consumed a large amount of Resource Points to raise my Quester⁴ level. The outer perimeter of the Dominion must have expanded again. I immediately checked my status.

I used the remaining Resource Points to organize the area for livestock. After finishing my work as a Quester, I went to town and filled up the warehouse until it was bursting. On the way back, I received some livestock from Alest-san, brought them back, and let them graze in the area. I’ll leave the care of the livestock to the maids.
While I was doing all that, evening arrived, so I went to see Aris-chan before dinner. She was as stubborn as ever, but her Affection Level was at minus 97. Ami-chan said Iris probably whispered something into her ear. It also seems possible that what happened in the bath has something to do with it.
I wonder if it’s that. Maybe the licking felt good? I wouldn’t mind doing it for her again.
I had Aris-chan serve me directly with her mouth. Perhaps because we had already established a naked relationship in the large bath, Aris-chan stroked me with her mouth while glaring at me. After feeling good and letting Aris-chan drink my semen, it was time for dinner. Hmm… I’m busy right as soon as I get back…

It seems she wants to go out scouting for Magic Girls right away. Well, I also want to see other towns in this different world since I’m here… but that’s just a pretext; I really want to increase the number of Magic Girls I can vent my desires upon.

Iris said something that piqued my interest.

Beastmen seem to be exactly what Japanese people would imagine. You know, the type with animal ears on their heads and a tail. There are many races, including those with cat ears, dog ears, wolf ears, or rabbit ears.
”The males of the beastman race look completely like beasts,” Ami-chan said.
”Sister, saying it like that will invite resentment,” Iris cautioned.
”But really. Even though the women don’t look that different from us, only the men are covered in fur.”
Apparently, the beastman men look entirely like animals, while the women look human but with animal ears and tails.
”Until several hundred years ago, the beastman races were scattered in various places and were discriminated against by humans,” one of them explained.
”Then one day, one of the slave gladiators stood up and began to unite the beastmen in various regions.”
Originally, the beastman race supposedly had physical abilities significantly higher than humans. However, because they lived scattered in various places, they couldn’t compete with humans who had built the framework of nations. The beastmen, being few in number, were semi-forcibly integrated into human society… but. Here, a single hero stood up and united the beastmen across the lands. He and his comrades eventually took over a small country and established it as a peaceful haven for beastmen.
Then, even more beastmen who heard the rumors gathered from all over. The Hero King utilized the social governance know-how built by humans to reshape the national framework and organize an army. The knight order composed solely of beastmen is said to be the strongest on the continent even today. Eventually, they conquered many countries and expanded their territory further. And now, it has grown into the Egdia Empire, one of the leading major powers on the continent.
”Now, they even have many humans under their rule. There are human nobles, such as former nobles of the occupied countries, but…” Ami-chan said.
”Fundamentally, it’s a country where beastmen are superior. And since the countries south of the Empire are almost exclusively human countries…” Iris noted.
”Ah, I see. So they’re keeping a sharp eye on the Empire’s movements,” I concluded.
If the strongest knight order comes and they lose the war, treatment as lower-class citizens awaits them…

Her outfit consists of a provocative high-cut leotard and a short jacket that looks like a miniskirt from the back, leaving her legs bare. Despite her playful appearance, she is actively searching for a contractor who can protect her from dangerous pursuers in exchange for the powers she offers.
• Alest – Lambdaine’s son and father to Aris and Iris. He is portrayed as soft-hearted toward his daughters, much to his father’s chagrin.
• Emerald – Magical Girl version of Cleonora. Smaller, side-tailed, green-and-white mini-skirted girl.
