In the beginning, I was pretty on edge wondering how things would play out once Listarte started frequenting my territory. As it turned out, I’ve been able to spend my days without getting caught up in any particularly messy entanglements.
When I wake up in the morning, I get a good release with Ghibli-san, then I teleport just like that to the Kaibel territorial capital. I part ways with Ghibli-san there and return to the Dominion. I finish breakfast and knock out my routine work in the Room of the Great Phantasmal Soulstone.
Around noon, Listarte might or might not show up. Since I also travel to the Republic and the Holy City, I’m away more often than not. During those times, I leave the “Princess-sitting” to Emerald and Sardonyx.
Of course, if I’m around, I handle her directly. She’s visited several times now, and I’ve even scored a few souvenirs from her.
By the time Listarte heads home and the sky over the Dominion begins to bruise into twilight, Ghibli-san makes her way back. As a Unique Individual, her mobility is unmatched; she can return in a heartbeat. Honestly, the early morning teleportation might be overkill.
Our nights remain as heated as ever, bookended by dinner and a long soak in the tub. I make sure to keep tabs on the female knights during my downtime. By now, everyone except Alvia has more or less abandoned the dream of returning to the Kingdom.
I also make a point to keep the lines of communication open with Kanade. She’s started joining us at the dinner table, and she seems to be vibing well with Cleonora and the others. Her injuries are on the verge of being fully healed. Once she’s at a hundred percent, I intend to get serious about turning her into my next Slave of Love¹.
Right now, she’s clearly carrying a heavy load of guilt. While being taken care of with medical treatment, gourmet meals, a bath, and a place to live, she isn’t working at all, unlike everyone else. She’ll likely come to me soon, begging to become a Magical Girl just so she can feel useful. With her Affection Level already trending positive, getting her into bed is only a matter of time. Once we have a physical relationship, the rest will fall into place.

Trading barbs with Ami-chan, I pulled up the interface in the Room of the Great Phantasmal Soulstone. A notification was waiting for me: a Level Up was available.
”Whoa…! Another one already?” I muttered.
”The farm has been pulling in a steady stream of XP! Go on, let’s level up right away!” Ami-chan said.
Following Ami-chan’s lead, I triggered the evolution. I could feel the Dominion’s borders expanding even further. I pulled up my status to see where I stood.

She wasn’t wrong. I’d started this journey with nothing but three Ego Skills. Now, my Slave of Love arsenal was packed with combat-heavy abilities. Even with the usage limits, every single one of them was a game-changer.
”Hey, Ami-chan. About Listarte… what’s the play there?” I asked.

”I mean, the theory is that she-or rather, the Empire-is after our crops and the secret to flight magic, right? But she hasn’t made a move yet.”
Cleonora and I had already hashed this out. The odds were high that the Empire was hungry for our tech. Yet, Listarte hadn’t demanded a thing. Liliarette suggested that on the days the Princess didn’t visit us, she was likely back at the capital delivering progress reports. Ghibli-san had even spotted her flying north from the Kaibel territory a few times.
They were probably dissecting every detail of this land, debating exactly how to play me. Fortunately, I didn’t sense any immediate malice, but I couldn’t relax. You never knew when the hammer would drop.
”Well, it’s not like worrying will change the outcome, right?” Ami-chan said.
”I guess so…” I replied.
Speaking of the Princess, I’d managed to peep at her status while she was lounging in the Dominion. It was… illuminating.

That was fast. I’d only just sent her to the Kaibel capital early this morning. The fact that the Intra-Domain Communication was even working meant she’d already crossed back into the Dominion. Something was definitely up.
’There’s been some movement in the town-nya. I don’t think the Princess is coming today… I’m heading back now to give you the full report-nya.’ Ghibli-san said.
”I… I understand.”
”What was that about?” Ami-chan asked.
I filled Ami-chan in on Ghibli-san’s report. Since she was going to be back in time for lunch, I decided to pull everyone together in the dining hall. It was time for a meeting.
