Chapter 159 Sugita Group ②

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

”How is it, Honoka? Feels good, doesn’t it? I bet it feels amazing!”

”No! Please! Stop! Master! Help me, Master!”

Hidaka was brutalizing Honoka from behind. She wasn’t feeling a drop of pleasure; she was just sobbing, screaming for me to save her.

”Hey! There are two of you, so start working together and suck it!”

 ”Mph! Slurp! Stop… nn-slurp!”

Hagimoto shoved the twins’ heads down-Mei and Rei-forcing them to serve him. Both girls looked like they were suffocating.

 And then…

”Fuah! Ahhh! Yes! It’s so good! Lord Hero! Haru-sama! More, give me more! Ah! Ahhh!”

Marl was straddling Sugita, her hips grinding in a rhythmic trance. Unlike Honoka and the twins, she looked genuinely happy to be there. Beside Sugita, Alisha, Mime, and Mercedes were draped over him, clinging to his skin.

There were several others in the room. Faces I recognized-the Guild Receptionists. They were strewn about the floor as if their very souls had been drained, faces frozen in satisfied, vacant smiles. Then I saw one more face I knew.

”Haru-sama, please… grant me your favor soon.”

”Yeah, yeah. Once I’m done making this one scream, it’s your turn.”

It was Mariana, the Second Princess of the Plaudix Kingdom and the Holy Maiden of the Hero Church.

So, she was one of the three. I’d expected the others to be Nagase and Mayuzumi, but I didn’t see them. Someone else, then. But it didn’t matter. The reality was right in front of me: Honoka and the twins were being defiled, and Marl’s group had been stolen.

”Sugita… what the hell are you doing?”

”Hah? Are you blind? I’m railing every woman in this room. Are your eyes rotten, Natsumi? Gyahahaha!” Sugita laughed.

I ground my teeth so hard they creaked. I felt my sanity slipping.

”Man, I really have to thank you, Natsumi-chan. You put together a hell of a collection for us.”

”Don’t you dare joke with me!” I spat.

”I’m not joking. I told you before, didn’t I? What’s yours is mine. These women, this place-it all belongs to me now. Thanks for the gift,” Sugita said.

He didn’t have a shred of remorse. I snapped. I gripped my greatsword and leveled the tip at his throat.

”Oh? What’s this? What do you think you’re going to do with that?” Sugita mocked.

”I’m going to kill you! Right here, right-wha?”

I stepped forward to swing, but a sharp, icy pain exploded in my back and tore through my gut. I looked down. A blade had sprouted from my stomach.

”You shouldn’t say things like that, Natsu. You shouldn’t talk about killing Kazu,” Reese said quietly.

 ”W-why…?” I wheezed.

 ”Darling!?”

 ”Papa!”

 ”Reese… what have you done!?”

Reese stood behind me, her spear buried in my spine.

”Gyahahahaha! I told you! Every woman here belongs to me!” Sugita’s mockery and Honoka’s screams echoed through the hall.

* * *

I coughed up a spray of blood and collapsed to my knees. I’d lost a massive amount; my internals were shredded. Reese yanked the spear out and gave it a sharp flick to clear the gore.

 ”Reese… you…”

”Listen, Natsu. I finally realized it. I realized who I truly love.”

She had an entranced, dreamy look in her eyes.

”Back then, Kazu only did what he did because he was thinking of me. He wanted me to understand the real ‘me.’ I was just confused; I repressed my true feelings by calling it ‘rape.’ But when I saw him again… I finally understood. I’ve always loved Kazu.”

 I couldn’t process her words.

”And after he held me again, I was sure of it. I love him. So… I’m sorry, Natsu.”

Reese walked over to Sugita and snuggled against his side.

 ”…Marl. You too?”

”Ah! Ahh! It is so, ~desuwa. Haru-sama is a magnificent man, ~desuwa. He is my true partner of destiny, ~desuwa. My ‘destiny’ with you was just a mistake. I’ve never felt so filled… ah! Not yet! I’m coming!”

Marl reached a peaking climax as Sugita continued to use her.

”Honestly, you’re just pathetic. You aren’t a real man. A real man should be more like Haru-han,” Mime sneered.

”That’s riiiight. And besides… s*x with you was always just a chore. Honestly, it was suuuper gross,” Alisha added.

”Exactly. It didn’t feel good at all. But him… he’s incredible. He fills up my heart and my body,” Mercedes muttered.

They all looked down at me with pure, unadulterated scorn.

”Haa… Lil-oneesama. You should just throw that man away and become Haru’s property. You’d be so much happier,” Marl sighed.

 ”Marl… you’ve lost your mind…”

”Aahn, big sister is so scary! Haru-samaaa!”

Marl casually brushed off Lil’s simmering rage.

”Oh, right. Those women over there-you brought them for me too, right? One’s just a kid, but they’re all beauties. I’ll happily take them off your hands,” Sugita said with a repulsive grin.

I felt a surge of dread-

 ”Darling!”

 ”Papa!”

 ”Sieben!”

I triggered the teleportation. In an instant, Lil and the others vanished. Sugita’s face went blank.

”Huh? What? Hey, Natsumi! Where did you send them!?”

”…Who knows. Even if I did, I wouldn’t tell a piece of shit like you,” I spat.

I glared at him, my vision swimming. Serve him right. I’d never hand Lil over to him. Honestly, even I didn’t know where they went. It was a blind, reflexive jump to any location I’d visited before.

”Tch. Fine. I’ll just kill you first and find them later. And then… hehe… I’ll rail them right in front of your corpse! Hagimoto! Hidaka!”

”Whatever, don’t boss me around. Though, I’m all for breaking that dog-eared beauty,” Hagimoto chuckled.

”Honoka is enough for me… but yeah, Sasaki is in the way,” Hidaka added.

Hagimoto and Hidaka roughly shoved Honoka and the twins aside and stepped toward me.

 ”A… u… Master… High… Heal…”

Honoka, likely broken from the abuse, couldn’t even stand, but she managed to point a shaking palm at me to cast a healing spell. The wound closed, but the blood he’d lost was gone for good. Still, it was better than a gaping hole. I used my sword as a crutch to stand.

”I’m going to kill every last one of you!”

”Ha! Give it your best shot!”

I lunged at Sugita, but my body felt like lead. It wasn’t just the injury. Something was wrong. I swung anyway, but Hagimoto stepped in, catching my blade with his giant scythe.

 ”What!?”

”Whoa! That’s a heavy hit, considering your stats are tanked,” Hagimoto said.

 Stats… tanked?

”My skill lets me cut the parameters of my enemies to one-tenth. That’s why you never had a chance from the start! Sucks to be you!”

Hagimoto’s smug face loomed as he blew me back. What kind of bullshit cheat was that? Even so, with all my stats at 999, one-tenth still put me on par with someone like Sieben. I didn’t fall. I dug my heels in and launched.

 ”Take this! ‘Wrath Impact’!”

I unleashed my finishing move. Hagimoto braced with his scythe. A deafening metallic shriek rang out as he was sent flying, but…

”Phew, that actually stung a bit. But sorry! Still not enough to kill me!”

 ”No way…”

He wasn’t unscathed, but he was standing perfectly fine.

”Natsumi, you’re a geek, so you know those ‘Warriors’ games, right? I love ’em. Mowing down trash is the best.”

 ”What of it?”

”In those games, the trash mobs barely do any damage to the hero. I’ve got a skill like that. I take one-hundredth of the damage dealt to me. So… I wonder how many years it’ll take you to actually kill us?”

Hagimoto’s mouth twisted into a jagged sneer. It was a cheap, dirty ability.

 ”I don’t care-gh!?”

As I tried to swing again… my arms were gone. My hands, still gripping the greatsword, flew through the air.

”Don’t forget I’m here,” Hidaka said.

 ”GAAAAAAH!”

Hidaka stood in a drawing stance. An Iai slash. He had taken my arms off at the elbows.

”Aww, did you lose your toys? Poor baby. Well then… hup!”

Hagimoto swung his massive scythe. He ripped a massive horizontal gash across my stomach. My guts slithered onto the floor as the wound yawned open.

 ”Ugh… gah… damn it…”

I couldn’t stand. I fell forward, face-first. The plush carpet soaked up my blood, turning a dark, heavy crimson. This was it. A fatal wound.

”And that’s the end. You. Are. DONE! Gyahahahaha!”

Sugita’s manic laughter sounded like it was coming from a mile away.

 ”No… Master! MASTER!”

 Honoka’s screams pierced the air.

”Natsumi, thanks for the hard work. From now on, I’m Sieben,” Sugita spat.

Sugita walked over and ripped the mask from my face. He kicked my severed arms away, picked up my greatsword, and raised it over his head.

I guess this is it. Sorry, Honoka. Mei. Rei. I’ll come for you. I’ll definitely come for you. Until then… I’ll use what’s left of my power to dull your senses so you don’t have to feel what those bastards do to you.

Reese, Marl, and the others looked down at me with cold, mocking eyes as I prepared to die.

And Sugita. Hagimoto. Hidaka…

”K-kuha… kuhahahaha! I’m going to enjoy… figuring out how to pay you back for this! I can’t wait! Kuhahahaha!”

”Finally lost his mind, huh? Just die already,” Sugita said.

The blade fell. My head left my shoulders. My vision spun wildly.

SHALL THIS GRUDGE GO UNSETTLED?

 The world went black.

 ===

 Next time: Sugita’s Perspective.

 ”WHYYY’D YOU BEE-TRAY MEE!?”

 —

 Summary:

Natsumi Sasaki faces total defeat at the hands of the Sugita Group. He is betrayed by his companion Reese, while his other followers appear corrupted and join his enemies in mocking him. After his limbs are severed and his body mutilated by ‘Cheat’ users Hagimoto and Hidaka, Sugita executes Natsumi.

 —

 Trivia:

 - The ‘Sugita-gumi’ is localized as the Sugita Group to reflect its yakuza-like gang structure.

 - Hagimoto’s cheat reduces enemy stats to 1/10 and damage taken to 1/100.

 - Natsumi uses his last strength to teleport Lil and the ‘Three Daughters’ away to an unknown location.

 - The protagonist decides to dull the physical sensitivity of his captured girls as a final act of mercy.

 - The final line of the chapter is a reference to a specific Kamen Rider meme regarding betrayal

 —

 Character Insight:

Natsumi hits rock bottom, shifting from a protector to a vessel of pure grudge as his head is severed. The betrayal by Reese and the change in Marl/Mariana suggests a powerful brainwashing or ‘NTR’ status-alteration effect being used by Sugita.

 —

 Behind the Scenes:

The author notes that this arc draws thematic inspiration from ‘Ma-kun’ (likely referencing the dark comedy/violence of ‘Ma-kun’ tropes) and ‘Hanzawa Naoki’ (a series famous for high-stakes professional betrayal and banking drama).

 —

 TL Notes:

1 High Heel: A mid-to-high tier recovery spell in this world’s magic system.

2 Wrath Impact: Natsumi’s signature finishing move, though rendered ineffective here due to the enemy’s damage mitigation cheat.

3 Sugita Group: Originally ‘Sugita-gumi’ in Japanese, referring to a organized criminal gang or Group.

4 Onduru-go: A Japanese internet meme stemming from a misheard line in Kamen Rider Blade, specifically ‘Onto ni uragitta n desu ka!’ (Did you really betray me!?) becoming ‘Onduru riu ragitta n desu ka!’.

Notes:

• Honoka – A member of the relief team with healing magic. Despite her cute, short, ‘transistor glamour’ appearance, she is cold-hearted and mocks Sasaki, now a bound slave to him.

• Hidaka – Height 182 cm, weight 79 kg (Male). A muscular member of the Sugita gang and the Kendo club. While better than the other two, he still used Natsumi as a punching bag and joined in the sexual assault of Lieselotte Himesaki.

• Hagimoto – One of the members of the Sugita gang who actively bullied Natsumi. At first glance, he looks like a cool, smart guy with glasses, but he is actually vulgar and has a foul mouth.

• Mei – One of the Kijima twin sisters. She uses a longbow that creates arrows of light. She is part of Chihiro’s party in the Envyos Labyrinth.

• Rei – One of the Kijima twin sisters. The eldest one. She uses a spear and acts as the frontline defense for her sister. She demonstrates ‘perfect sync’ with Mei.

• Haru – The authoritative leader of the Merchant Guild Royal.

• Mercedes – A girl with black hair, rare in the world. Small chest, thin pubic hair trimmed in an inverted triangle. Large, upturned eyes that lost their light due to trauma.

• Alisha – A Miko with fluffy pink hair and a prodigious, triple-digit bust measurement. The one who was kidnapped along with the merchant daughter and others.

• Sugita – Sugita Kazu. The leader of the Sugita gang and the primary bully of Natsumi Sasaki. His grandfather is the Superintendent General and his father is a Police Superintendent, so the two of them covered up all his crimes. Because of this, he does whatever he wants wherever he goes. He has a lean build, sharp features, and a calculating gaze. Possesses the ‘Steal’ (窃盗) skill and uses it to brainwash women.

• Marl – Lil’s younger sister figure or companion who enjoys watching the couple from a distance. Not the real one.

• Mime – Former mercenary with short red hair, cat-eyed warrior, wheat-colored skin, and a toned, athletic build with visible abdominal muscles.

• Mariana – The second princess of Plaudix and a Saint. Blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing thin silk clothes. About the same age as the students.

• Natsumi – The protagonist. Height 168 to 171 cm, weight 57 to 59 kg. He has a baby face, but he hides his eyes with his bangs. He was bullied by the Sugita gang just because his name sounded like a girl’s name.

• Reese – Jessica’s sister, currently asleep. Identified as a ‘beautiful blonde lady’ by Alice.

• Lil – One of the heroines. Height 166 cm, B-W-H: 90-56-90. She is a top-tier beauty with long indigo hair down to her waist, a large scar on her abdomen and sharp golden eyes. She has wolf ears and a tail.

• Sieben – Young man with black hair and a mask covering his eyes. He purchased Honoka and Ria.

• Sasaki – The protagonist. Height 168 to 171 cm, weight 57 to 59 kg. He has a baby face, but he hides his eyes with his bangs. He was bullied by the Sugita gang just because his name sounded like a girl’s name.

I TOLD YOU!! I said time and again that blonde bitch Reese was TRASH. She’s garbage and I don’t know why the author wasted a few chapters on her POV. Eh? What’s that, you say? She’s being brainwashed and it’s not her fault, you say? Well, incorrect assumption. Minor spoiler, his heart stealing crap doesn’t work on someone emotionally dead, like the twins, or someone who’s heart is 100% devoted to someone like Honoka. So that means, in her heart of hearts, her feelings towards the Mc are more shallow than she let on, far too weak to combat the brainwashing of the bastard who ra*** her. Honoka is just fine, but this punk? Easy mark. So, I reiterate: she is TRASH.
