Chapter 195 The NTR Murder Case
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
I was caught off guard when the news broke. Six people were dead in the Great Plaza on the first floor, including Mimura.
”Did a civil war break out in Eikou¹ over the Shu-Ha-Ri² buyout?” I asked. “Or did one of the students whose girl was ‘stolen’ finally snap and go on a killing spree?”
”Exactly that, sir,” Yuki Tanaka replied, his voice trembling. “The students who were being forced to provide their Soul-less Dolls³ conspired together. They’ve started a full-scale rebellion across the guilds.”
”Just as I thought,” I muttered.
It was no wonder. If a man is forced to watch the Soul-less Doll he dotes on every day get gang-raped right in front of him, he is going to break. It was only a matter of time before someone snapped.
”Tanaka, give me the play-by-play,” I said. “Who exactly are the victims?”
Sanada let out a heavy sigh. He had known this would happen eventually, but the reality was still a grim milestone. He pressed Yuki for the details. Yuki had only just heard the news from his guildmates that morning and was still scrambling for the full picture, but he provided a rundown of what was known.
The incident occurred late last night. The guilds were gathered near the Great Plaza and the dungeon entrance, using the Soul-less Dolls as they always did. Suddenly, a group of students in full combat gear stormed out from their My Rooms⁴. They caught the teachers, coaches, and other students completely defenseless.
Witnesses described the attackers as having terrifying eyes – orbs of pure, unadulterated hatred. They didn’t hesitate. It was clear from the first strike that they intended to kill.

The body count was high. Six were dead, including Mimura and Coach Ueno from the track team, along with several party leaders. Another twenty were wounded, some critically, including the math teacher, Miyata.
After the massacre in the plaza, the attackers snatched the Dolls who were being abused and retreated. They used Earth Wall magic to seal the exits behind them. They even hit the groups outside the plaza, rounded up those Dolls as well, and vanished using a Teleportation Circle. It was over in a heartbeat.
The culprits were seven students who had been coerced into giving up their Dolls. One was from Eikou, two from White Knight, one from Shu-Ha-Ri, and the last three were from smaller, independent guilds.
The survivors from Eikou were out for blood. They geared up and went on a manhunt immediately, but they spent all night searching and found nothing. White Knight was currently organizing a formal search party, and they had sent a request to Nightmare⁵ through Oida to help track the fugitives.
”I see. Seven of them working together,” I said, exhaling a slow breath. “They had it coming.”
”It is exactly what they deserved,” Sheena-san added from behind me.
Her voice was like ice. She was staring at the Magic Crystal with a gaze that had gone dead and cold. Sayaka and the others were watching from the kitchen, looking pale and shaken. The idea of students murdering each other was a bridge too far for them.
”Sheena-san…” Yuki whispered, clearly intimidated by her intensity.
”Sheena is right,” I said, turning back to the crystal. “Self-awareness or not, those Soul-less Dolls are still human beings. It’s not like they don’t react at all. The guys who owned them clearly cared for them. To have them snatched away and used like communal property right in front of them? The ‘teachers’ should have known they were playing with fire.”
I could almost excuse the kids, but I couldn’t believe adults like Miyata and Coach Ueno were too stupid to see the risk. Did they really think it was safe just because the Dolls were ‘mindless’? Or did they just let their lust do the thinking? Either way, they reaped what they sowed.
”Master is correct,” Sheena-san said firmly. “I still have my memories from when I was ‘mindless.’ When I think about how those girls will feel if they ever wake up… if anything, these students waited too long to act.”
Sheena would always side with the Dolls. She had been one of them. She knew that but for Sanada’s intervention, that could have been her fate. Sanada was actually impressed she had held back this long. If he hadn’t told the other testers to keep their ‘fun’ out of her sight, Sheena probably would’ve been the one to start the massacre.
”Y-You’re right,” Yuki stammered, getting caught up in the heat. “Seeing a woman you love treated like a toy… I’d do the same if it were Hina. No, I’d kill everyone – comrades, teachers, it wouldn’t matter!”
”Alright, settle down,” I told him. Yuki always became a liability when his sister was the topic. “The fact that seven guys from different guilds coordinated this means it was planned well in advance.”
”Y-Yeah, sorry. I got a bit carried away. But you’re right, it had to be a conspiracy.”
”Which means there’s a mastermind,” I noted. “And nine times out of ten, it’s the guy from Eikou.”
”You mean Kurokawa?” Yuki asked.
”The one who killed Mimura? Yeah, him. He probably drafted the plan, recruited the others, and pulled the trigger.”
”I did hear Kurokawa had a massive falling out with Mimura and his party when he tried to refuse the ‘doll-sharing’ policy,” Yuki added. “I guess the others were in the same boat.”
”And they haven’t found a trace of them?” I asked.
”No. About thirty people have been scouring the floors all night. Nothing.”
”Of course not. Kurokawa and his crew are probably on the 6th floor by now.”
”The 6th?” Yuki’s eyes widened. “Oh! Right! Since Kurokawa was in Eikou, he knew the location of the 4th-floor Guardian room!”
”Exactly. They probably made a beeline for the Guardian room right after the hit. Once they reach the 6th floor, the pursuers can’t follow. If they haven’t been spotted, it means they were strong enough to clear the Monster House⁶ and the 4th-floor Guardian.”
”That makes sense,” Yuki agreed. “One of them can use Earth Wall, and the guy from Shu-Ha-Ri was in the archery club. Plus, they had Kobold familiars. They had the utility to break through.”
”A well-balanced party. They might even be able to take the Area Guardian⁷.”
I knew that even if they were exhausted, if no one was chasing them, they could camp on the 5th floor and prep for the Area boss.
”But didn’t they think Nightmare would act?” Yuki asked. “Koyama and the others are on the 6th floor, and we can move there whenever we want.”
”Our guild didn’t participate in the ‘sharing.’ And they know how I treat Sheena. They probably figured we’d look the other way.”
All of Nightmare’s core members had reached the 6th floor before the ‘Wall-Butt’ restrictions. None of them were desperate enough to mess with a comrade’s Doll. And the Gozaru-crew? They didn’t have Dolls to begin with, so they were irrelevant to the fugitives’ grudge.
”I see… So, what about the request to join the search?” Yuki asked.
”Ignore it,” I said. “Tell Koyama and the others that if they see Kurokawa’s group, they didn’t see anything. Actually, have them scatter some notes on the 6th floor stating that Nightmare is staying out of this. It’ll keep our guys safe and put the fugitives at ease.”
I had no intention of doing the dirty work for the people who had brought this on themselves. Besides, Kurokawa and his team were like cornered animals right now. I wasn’t sending my people into a meat grinder for the sake of some rapists’ revenge.
”Fair point. It’s not our circus,” Yuki said. “I’ll get word to Koyama. We’ll frame it as a safety measure for our own members.”
”Good. Make sure everyone knows: hands off. By the way, how’s the recruitment with Akatsu and the Kendo club going?”
”Success! Akatsu and eleven others have officially joined Nightmare. They cleared the Area Guardian yesterday. We sent some support for the Monster House, but the Boss fight was a bloodbath. They’re resting up for a couple of days. They’re incredibly grateful you took them in after the whole information leak mess.”
”Good. Tell Akatsu to stay clear of Kurokawa too.”
Everything was moving according to plan.
”Let me know if anything else changes,” I said.
”Will do. Either I or Coach Sayama will be in touch.”
”I’m counting on it.” I cut the feed.
”Will those girls be alright?” Sheena-san asked, her face tight with worry.
I looked at her. It was strange to see her worry so much about humans of a different race, but she was a compassionate woman at her core.
”They killed for them; they’ll protect them,” I said. “And since this was planned, they likely packed food and gear.”
”I hope so…”
Sheena-san didn’t look convinced. A group of seven testers dragging seven low-rank human Dolls through a dungeon was a logistical nightmare. I doubted they could protect them for long. Food and water for fourteen people would run out in three or four days, tops. They couldn’t use a My Room to buy more supplies. Once the food runs out, and with the 1st-floor exit guarded, they’d have no choice but to become bandits.
Of course, if a Soul-less Doll died, the dungeon just collected them and popped them back into a crystal to be reset. They weren’t truly gone. But I knew better than to say that to a former Doll like Sheena.
”Tell you what. Once we finish our circuit of this floor, we’ll go check on them.”
I didn’t plan on letting Kurokawa turn into a mindless bandit. In about three days, they’d be at their breaking point.
”Yes… if we can, I’d like to save at least the women,” Sheena-san said.
”Heh, sure.”
Sheena clearly didn’t give a damn about the guys. She was just pissed about what had been done to the Dolls. Personally, I was more interested in Kurokawa and his crew.
They had crossed the line. They had tasted blood, and they did it for something they cared about – not for fun, like the psychos I had dealt with back in the cartels. That kind of ‘talent’ was rare in Japan. Right now, they were cold, hungry, and terrified. By the time I found them, they would be perfectly primed.
I would save them, alright. I would give them a home, food, and protection. And I’d let them keep their precious Dolls, too.
The price? They could worry about that later. They were Japanese; they’d know how to pay back a debt.

Summary:
A group of marginalized testers led by Kurokawa has revolted, murdering several leaders and teachers who were forcing them to share their Soul-less Dolls. They have fled into the deeper floors of the dungeon with their Dolls in tow. Sanada Yakumo decides to stay neutral, predicting they will become desperate enough to be recruited into his own guild.
—
Trivia:
- Kurokawa was specifically a former member of the Eikou guild.
- The death toll includes both students and adult authority figures (Coach Ueno, Mimura).
- Yakumo is technically an ex-cartel member, which colors his view of the ‘talent’ of the murderers.
- Soul-less Dolls are reset by the dungeon if they die, but the testers believe their ‘souls’ or ‘selves’ are precious.
- Akatsu’s Kendo club group successfully joined Nightmare after an earlier information leak issue
—
Character Insight:
Yakumo displays his opportunistic side, viewing the murderers not as criminals but as ‘valuable human resources’ who are being perfectly ‘primed’ by hunger and fear for his recruitment. Sheena’s cold anger shows she still carries the trauma of being a mindless Doll.
—
Behind the Scenes:
The ‘NTR’ element is a central plot device used to create the explosive conflict between the guilds, highlighting the dark psychological toll of the dungeon’s slavery system.
