Chapter 133 Lesson Time for the Children Who Inherit the Evil Dragon’s Blood: Shiratsuki

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Among all the children who inherited the blood of the Evil Dragon¹, Ryuuin Shiratsuki was the most devoted to her father. Like a hatchling trailing its mother, she refused to leave his side for even a heartbeat. Her attachment was so absolute it could only be described as “clinging.” Whenever she spotted the slightest opening, she would move to initiate an intimacy that betrayed her nature as a “papa’s girl” in its purest, most primal form.

Shiratsuki, ever-adept at weaponizing her status as a young child to get her way, remained pressed against her father-clinging to him like a vine to a massive tree. As he sat working on the clerical tasks and research necessary to establish the Ryuuin Family, she remained perched firmly upon his lap. With her clear, azure eyes radiating the aura of a sacred dragon and her flowing silver hair, her very presence was so ethereal it could be mistaken for the divine made flesh.

Yet, the expression she wore while captivated by her chosen male was that of a maiden caught in the fever of a deep, romantic longing.

”Toto-sama, won’t you please rest?” Shiratsuki asked. “I truly wish you would allow me to soothe the tension in these gallant muscles of yours~desuwa.”

”Not now,” he replied. “The chaos of the Seal Dragon Festival² has completely redrawn the map of the Exorcist world. I have to reorganize the factions-those who accept Yaten as an Evil Dragon, those who reject her, and the neutrals-and rebuild our relationships under the Ryuuin name.”

”How utterly droll,” Shiratsuki said, pouting. “For such petty human political squabbles, you should simply use the violence inherent in our dragon blood to bring them all to their knees~desuwa.”

She spoke with a sharp, radical edge. Though she was a being of dual nature-half-human and half-dragon-she viewed herself as fundamentally distinct from humanity. While she understood her rhetoric was extreme, she harbored a visceral loathing for anything that stole her father’s time for the sake of “lesser” beings.

This arrogance was a byproduct of her high-tier draconic psyche and the vast potential she harbored. While her values needed adjustment, I had no intention of forcing a fundamental reform. As the daughter of the Void Dragon-a clone of the world-destroying Evil Dragon-her status was simply too elevated to align with human morality. Like the other children of divine blood, it was perhaps better for her to cultivate a sense of “Godhood.” Possessing the raw power to subvert an entire nation on her own, she would be far too fragile if she tried to view the world through the limited lens of an ordinary human.

At the very least, she is ‘good’ in the sense that she lacks any active malice… unlike the others, he thought.

The potential for malice within those of the Evil Dragon’s blood was an iniquity of a different magnitude-a literal world-ending depravity. While such malice would never manifest in front of their father or family, these children lacked any shred of empathy for those outside their circle. To them, human lives were merely disposable playthings to be trampled and toyed with to alleviate boredom. While Yaten and the others had acquired “Motherhood” through the experience of pregnancy and birth-learning to feel compassion for life in the process-the raw, unrefined evil glimpsed in these young children was no laughing matter.

They would look upon a human or a Youma with the same casual cruelty a child shows when tearing the legs off an insect. If not for the sole fact that I, their father, disliked it, Akika, Meizuki, and Gingetsu would undoubtedly follow in the footsteps of Yaten-the Femme Fatale who had laid waste to countless kingdoms. Controlling the reins of this bloodline and preventing their rampage was my gravest duty as their Mate in this life.

”Even if you are arrogant, Shiratsuki, you are a good girl for not letting that malice take root toward humans,” he said.

”It is only because I find humans utterly beneath my notice,” Shiratsuki replied. “My sisters may find them interesting as toys, but I… rather than playing with toys, I would much rather be your plaything, Toto-sama. Ah… I have yearned for this caress for so long I can hardly bear it.”

As he stroked her head, her face took on a dazed, melting expression, as if she were drowning in intoxication. She rubbed her cheek against his chest, surrendering her small frame to the peace of their embrace. Even with the arrogant spirit of a sacred dragon, Shiratsuki was utterly beguiled by his presence. She continued to nuzzle her cheek against the hand that petted her, her tongue flicking out from her slightly parted lips to taste him, indulging in a sweet, rapturous trance.

”Toto-sama… you are worried that my sisters will turn their malice toward the humans, aren’t you?” she asked.

Even in this state of near-dissolution, the cunning of a “country-ruining beauty” inherent in the dragon blood did not dim. Her clear blue eyes were moist with joy, yet her reason remained sharp as she looked up at him, exhaling a heated breath. She had not a fragment of interest in humanity, but if it weighed on his mind, she would deem it worthy of consideration. Being a “papa’s girl” to her core, she would exert every ounce of her being to please me.

”I don’t think they’ll act on it yet, but that’s only because they know I wouldn’t like it,” he explained. “The Evil Dragon’s malice is an instinct, so it can’t be helped, but I want them to at least find a way to reconcile that nature without lashing out innocently.”

”Teaching them ‘affection’ is a monumental task, you know? Even I, a sacred dragon, feel nothing for those outside our family. To take a creature that is nothing more than a toy to be broken and teach us to ‘treasure’ it… that goes against every fiber of our instinct. If it were for a specific individual, it might be possible, but for the entire human race…?”

Unless it is Father’s command, her silence implied. The conclusion Shiratsuki had reached was that this was a matter requiring the absolute authority of their father to resolve. The wicked nature of the dragon sisters was bone-deep; even with her cunning, it was an impossible demand.

”It is like asking a human to care for every single ant on the ground so as not to step on them,” Shiratsuki continued. “One can try to have a heart that wouldn’t kill even an insect, but providing enough motivation for my sisters to do so-beyond a direct order from you-is quite difficult. However, if they were to be granted a child by their Fated Mate… if their very perception of life were to change through that… then, perhaps…”

With a firm settle, she pressed her weight more forcefully against his lap. A bewitching, sultry luster bled into her azure eyes. Shiratsuki was offering a pleasure that could subjugate even the instincts of the Evil Dragon.

”Even our Progenitor, the world-destroying Evil Dragon herself, overcame her innate wickedness and gained compassion once she bore a child with her Mate,” she said. “It was the same for Kaka-sama, Sakuya-sama, and Uigetsu-sama. In other words… would it not be best to grant my sisters that same experience? The power of the seed you sow, Toto-sama… an experience so profound it forces even the dragon’s blood to yield?”

To put it bluntly, Shiratsuki was arguing that everything would be resolved if he simply got them pregnant. If the instinct of Motherhood-to conceive and bear a child-is stronger than the instinct of the Evil Dragon, then he should grant these young princesses that experience so they could find a way to settle their dark natures. She continued to tempt him, her eyes beckoning him to draw forth his manhood from where she sat.

Of course, he knew she was right. Even Yaten, the personification of evil, had begun to transform into something else after having children. Sakuya, Uigetsu, and even the Void Dragon had gained a heart for others through Motherhood. Because of this, Shiratsuki held an absolute, thirsty trust in his ability to change them.

”Shiratsuki… that will have to wait until you all are grown, won’t it?”

”A single thrust from your gallant self would be more than enough to discipline my wicked sisters,” she replied. “But I understand you won’t take that path yet because you cherish us as children. Therefore, the only option left is to watch and wait.”

”Maintaining the status quo is the best we can do until we leave the Underground Temple,” he muttered. “Still… is there really no greater force than Motherhood to suppress the Evil Dragon’s blood?”

”To conceive and carry a child… it is an experience that forced even the Progenitor to revise her view on the value of life,” Shiratsuki insisted. “It is a necessary rite of passage before any child of the Evil Dragon sets foot into the outside world.”

As Shiratsuki spoke with such absolute certainty, a vision of a family tree flashed through his mind-one where the Evil Dragon bloodline continued to claim his legacy for generations to come. They would conceive, they would bear his children, they would gain Motherhood and compassion, and only then would they leave the Underground Temple to enter the world. The Evil Dragon harem would never let their Fated Mate escape, not until the end of time.

”The possessiveness of the Evil Dragon is truly a terrifying thing,” he said. “You naturally create situations where the male you’ve chosen can never leave, seeking to mingle your blood down to the very last drop.”

”And in exchange, you become the absolute ruler of our entire bloodline,” she said. “Don’t you think your Evil Dragon harem is a wonderful thing, Toto-sama?”

Caught in the inescapable embrace of Shiratsuki-who had inherited that very same draconic desire for exclusivity-it felt as though their blood being entwined for all eternity was already a fait accompli.
