Chapter 210 Takeda’s Lament and Hanako’s Evolution
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Test Dungeon 8th Floor – Night – Guardian Room
”Gah!” Yuki Tomoya grunted.
”Togashi, hold the line! Hup! Tsk.”
While Togashi barely held his ground against the Hobgoblin’s blade, Yuki Tomoya circled to the flank and lunged with his spear. The monster swatted the strike aside with a heavy, ringing sweep of its sword.
”Guah!”
Simultaneously, Togashi took a front kick to the chest that sent him skidding back. He recovered instantly, bracing his Greatshield and leveling his sword. As Yuki Tomoya raised his own spear to box the creature in, the Hobgoblin looked between the two of them and let out a fearless, mocking laugh.
The creature was far too composed. It clearly had the raw power to spare. Can Togashi and I handle this alone? Yuki Tomoya wondered.
He glanced toward Sonoda and the others. The three of them were still mopping up the smaller Goblins; they weren’t going to be joining the fray anytime soon. The Hobgoblin raised its blade and charged-directly at Yuki Tomoya. It had decided the spearman was an easier mark than the iron-walled Togashi.
”Don’t you underestimate me!” Yuki Tomoya yelled.
He braced his spear, hyper-focused on the monster’s center of gravity, reading the tell for its next move. Then, it happened.
”Wind Cutter! Wind Cutter!”
”GYAGH!”
Takeda, having finished his own skirmish, unleashed magic¹ that shredded the Hobgoblin’s legs. The monster buckled, dropping to one knee.
”Now!” Yuki Tomoya lunged forward.
”President, stay back! Fireball!” Takeda shouted.
Another blast struck the hobbled monster dead-on.
”GUGYAAAAAA!”
Takeda sprinted past Yuki Tomoya at a terrifying speed, driving his spear deep into the Hobgoblin’s throat.
”GUGYOH!”
”Die! Die! Die! Just die already!” Takeda snarled.
He twisted the spearhead in the creature’s neck, gouging the wound over and over. His face was a mask of desperation, eyes bloodshot and unhinged-nothing like his usual cautious, level-headed self. With a final, wet gasp, the Hobgoblin slumped over. It was dead.
”Huff… huff… I did it! I actually did it!” Takeda gasped. “That’s the Guardian reward! It’s mine!”
”Good… good job, Takeda. You okay? Not hurt?” Yuki Tomoya asked tentatively.
”Pre-President. I’m fine,” Takeda replied, his voice shaking. “I’m tapped out on Mana Capacity², but I didn’t take a scratch. More importantly, what’s the payout?”
”The 7th floor was 120,000 DP. The Guildmaster said the 8th should be 140,000.”
”So barely 30k apiece… God, that leaves 420,000 to hit the mark. It’s not enough. Nowhere near enough!”
”Takeda… look, man. Is it… things with Sugita-san? Are they not going well?” Yuki Tomoya asked.
”Masako? Oh, she’s ‘devoted,’ alright,” Takeda said. “So devoted it’s freaking suffocating.”
Takeda had bought Sugita Masako, a first-year, a few days ago using a discounted ticket. He’d been over the moon at first, bragging about ‘tuning’ her into his dream girl. But ever since he got that Soul-less Doll³, Irina, he’d been a shell of himself.
During a recent guild barbecue, the tension had been undeniable. Sugita had spent the whole time staring at the Doll, Irina, with eyes that could kill. To Sugita, Takeda was a traitor. Worse, her hatred was funneled entirely into the Doll. It was a classic “if you just didn’t exist” scenario.
”Look, Takeda. You’re a rearguard. Don’t go pulling reckless stunts like that throat-stab,” Togashi said, stepping forward.
”I’m fine, Togashi-senpai! I can keep going! Let’s hit the 9th floor. We’ve still got time. Let’s scout it out and earn some real DP!” Takeda insisted.
”Whoa, hold on, Takeda-senpai! Tezuka cut in. “You’re out of Mana! Let’s just call it a win and go home.”
”Shut up, you mommy’s boy!” Takeda roared, looming over him. “You’ve got it easy! You go home and play ‘baby’ with Mazetta-san to relax! You know what I go home to?! I have to sleep with an aroused Irina while Masako watches me with pure, murderous hatred! I can’t even get it up! She’s a gorgeous girl and I can’t get hard because I’m terrified I’m going to get a knife in the back mid-stroke!”
”Eep! S-Sorry!” Tezuka recoiled.
”Chill out, Takeda! You’ve got the slave crest command-ssu!” Sonoda tried to play peacemaker. “Just order her not to stab you, man!”
”I ALREADY DID THAT!” Takeda wailed, collapsing against Sonoda. “But those eyes… God, those eyes are terrifying! Why did I have to pick the one who’d go full-on dark side?! I bricked the character build! I ruined everything!”
”There, there, man-ssu,” Sonoda muttered.
”Takeda, we aren’t hitting the 9th until we report to the Guildmaster. That’s final,” Yuki Tomoya said firmly. “As leader, I can’t let you or the party take risks like this.”
”President… sorry. I lost it. Tezuka, Sonoda… my bad,” Takeda muttered.
”It’s okay, Senpai. We know you’re pushed to the limit,” Tezuka said.
”Yanderes are a nightmare, man-ssu,” Sonoda added.
”Glad you understand. Look, I’m giving you a larger cut of today’s reward. You basically solo’d the Guardian at the end there,” Yuki Tomoya said.
”President… I…”
”It’s okay. Buy the potion, fix the ‘material’ error, and it’ll all be fine. If you’re short, I’ll chip in,” Yuki Tomoya said, patting his shoulder.
Takeda’s cheeks were sunken. The dark circles under his eyes were deep. He was truly at the end of his rope.
”Thank you… I just wanted a sweet harem life… but that room is so tense I can barely breathe… uuuugh,” Takeda sobbed.
”We’ll get through it together, man,” Yuki Tomoya said.
They all forced a smile, though their faces were twitching. Deep down, they were all thinking the same thing: Maybe a harem just isn’t worth it.

13th Floor – Second Lap – Sanada Yakumo
Grunt! Snort!
A pack of about a dozen Orcs emerged from the settlement, charging toward the earth-wall fortifications.
”Fireball!” Sanada Yakumo shouted.
He launched a double-charged blast into the lead shield-bearer, blowing him backward and taking out two others behind him. Sayaka followed up instantly, her ice arrows thudding into the fallen monsters, while Sanae’s arrows rained down on the ones further back.
A pack of Green Wolves exploited the opening, darting through the chaos and lunging for the front line.
”They’re coming! Hanako, now!” Sanada Yakumo commanded.
Hanako, who had recently evolved into an Orc Woman General⁴, let out a high-pitched, ecstatic squeal. Her body erupted in a pulsing pink light. She spread her Black Iron Greatshields wide, thrusting out her chest-now significantly larger-and gave her breasts a violent, provocative shake.
The Green Wolves went ballistic. The ones about to lunge at Rock and the ones trying to flank Karen all screeched and veered toward Hanako simultaneously.
”Squeal! Squeal!” Hanako cried out happily.
She caught their fangs and claws on her shields, her face wearing a smug, composed look. The wolves were so blinded by rage they were tripping over themselves. It was the perfect demonstration of her new skill: Provocation⁵.
While Hanako tanked the wolves, Sheena darted in from behind her, skewering them one by one. The Orc group arrived next, their faces flushed red with fury as they fell under Hanako’s spell.
Sanada Yakumo and Rock found themselves with nothing to do. It had turned into an easy mop-up job-just picking off the ones Hanako had already lured in.
Just then, Leticia’s youthful, crystalline voice rang out from the rear.
”Light Shield!”
I slammed a Fire Bullet into the Orc directly in front of me, catching a glimpse of two Rain Hawks diving toward Sanae-san from the corner of my eye.
Leticia-chan swung her magic rod, shifting her Light Shield with practiced ease to intercept the plummeting predators.
”Light Arrow,” Leticia-chan commanded.
While maintaining the barrier, she triggered the spell. A single bolt of radiance materialized above her head and streaked away with blinding speed, impaling a Rain Hawk just as it recoiled from her shield.
”Light Arrow!” she shouted again.
The follow-up was instantaneous. Thanks to the rod’s casting-speed buff, a second bolt appeared immediately. It pierced the chest of the other hawk just as it hit the dirt and tried to scramble back into the air.
She’s got this down to a science, I thought.
The magic rod Leticia-chan held was a lucky find from a treasure chest back in the third village. It was a simple sixty-centimeter length of white wood with a crystal-like gem embedded in the tip, but Leticia-chan had been ecstatic to finally have it.
Performance-wise, it was nearly identical to the staff Sayaka-san used. Channeling magic through the rod shaved seconds off the casting time and lowered the Mana Capacity consumption. It was a marginal gain, but in the heat of a chaotic brawl, those seconds were the difference between life and death. Leticia-chan had just proved that by deleting those Rain Hawks with back-to-back shots.
The Light Arrow spell itself was a drop from the seventh village. It was a straightforward projectile, but it had a hard cap: no matter how much Mana you pumped into it, you only got one arrow. Compared to Sayaka-san’s Ice Arrow, which could split into four, it looked weak on paper-until you saw the specs. It was unaffected by rain, had the longest range in our entire arsenal, and moved faster than any other spell we had. I figured the one-shot limit was a necessary balance for those stats.
Leticia-chan didn’t care about the limit. She had been all smiles, beaming about finally being able to “contribute to the offense.” I’d figured a low-volume, high-precision attack was better than nothing, but Light Arrow turned out to be more “broken” than I expected. She could fire it while her Light Shield was active, and the bolt actually passed right through the semi-transparent barrier to hit the enemy. That utility alone was massive.
Usually, you can’t overlap offensive “emission-type” spells. I’ve tried dual-casting Fire Bullet and Fireball before, but the system wouldn’t allow it. However, since Physical Reinforcement-which isn’t an emission type-can be used alongside other spells, and the Light Shield can be manipulated within a two-meter range, the logic dictates the shield is classified as a “buff” or “utility” type.
It made sense why she only got one arrow. If she could spam three of those from behind an invincible wall, it would be game-breaking.
Still, Leticia-chan’s luck in this second loop was insane-like she was permanently stuck in a “super-lucky” RNG window. Between the rod and the new offensive magic, she’d been in a great mood for days.
She’d even been proactive about her nightly duties. Imitating Karen-chan, she’d drag me into the bathroom, spread her “petals” while sitting on the toilet, and beg me to “put it in.” Seriously, was this girl really only thirteen?
Despite becoming a total little “s*x-fiend,” she’d mastered Light Arrow in record time. As a result, she’d taken over Rain Hawk duty entirely since the eighth village. That freed up Sanae-san to provide cover with her bow, making the frontline combat a hell of a lot smoother.
And then… there was Hanako-san’s “Provocation.”
While I was letting her get the last hits after the eighth village battle, Hanako-san Ranked Up and evolved into an Orc General.
About damn time, I thought. By that point, Sanae-san had already hit D+ Rank, and Lucy-chan had caught up to Rock at D-Rank, evolving from a Kobold Rogue into a Kobold Rogue Queen.
Lucy-chan actually went through a massive growth spurt-she was about 170cm now with a much better build. She wasn’t bulky, though; she had that lean, sinewy, athletic look. She looked far more mature. If she kept her mouth shut, she looked like a cold-blooded bandit queen. Of course, the second she starts playing with Karen-chan or Rock, that mask slipped and she went right back to her old lovable self. I wished she hadn’t inherited Rock’s dorky personality along with his stats, but I couldn’t have everything.
Her physical abilities-speed and strength-were a hybrid of Rock and Saizou-san now. Honestly, she was probably closer to Saizou-san’s level. She was so fast I had to use Physical Reinforcement just to keep her in my sights.
But while the rest of the crew was evolving into powerhouses… Hanako-san just got fat.
Or rather, her breasts and ass got huge. I mean, her strength went up and she learned a special ability, so I guess she was technically “stronger.”
The special ability “Provocation” was supposed to force monsters to focus on her, but Hanako-san seemed to have a fundamental misunderstanding of the skill. Sheena-san mentioned that most monsters emit a red light when taunting, but in Hanako-san’s case, the light was pink.
I think it was my fault for buying her that female-specific Black Iron plate armor from the Shop. It had a deep plunging neckline that shows off her cleavage, and now she thought she was a seductress. She wiggled her hips and shook her tits at the enemies to “tempt” them.
The worst part was that it actually worked. The monsters reacted to her “temptation,” so the pig is now fully convinced she’s a femme fatale. The pink light was probably just the physical manifestation of her own delusion.
So now, every time we hit a village, I was forced to watch Hanako-san “seduce” the enemy from behind. And I use “seduce” loosely, because the monsters aren’t trying to get laid-they were trying to murder her. It was clearly just the Provocation effect at work.
”What a disgusting pig,” Sheena-san muttered, looking away.
Since the taunt was effective, Sheena-san didn’t tell her to stop. Sayaka-san just gave a pained smile, while Karen-chan was usually busy dying of laughter. Leticia-chan actually started giving her pointers, telling her she needed more “hip action,” while Sanae-san was frantically apologizing to Sheena-san, swearing she “doesn’t tempt Yakumo-kun like that!”
Personally, I found Hanako-san’s “dance” nauseating, but as long as the rest of the party accepted it, I’d endure.
…Even if I occasionally get the urge to blast her with a Fire Bullet.
”Buhi! Buhihi-ssu♡”
As I was lost in thought, an Orc’s falchion slipped past Hanako-san’s Greatshields and bit into her shoulder. Another Orc seized the opening, lunging at her legs to tackle her.
Hanako-san didn’t even flinch. The falchion hit her spaulder, and the tackle was like hitting a brick wall. On the contrary, she looked like she wanted more. She started to spread her arms wide as if to say “Hit me harder!”-only to be stabbed in the ass by Sheena-san’s spear. That snapped her out of it, and she slammed both Orcs away with her shields.
”Stoutness,” I noted.
That was Hanako-san’s other special ability. It seemed to be a passive buff that massively increased her physical durability. At this point, she could probably take a falchion hit to the bare skin and walk away with only a scratch.
Sheena-san had been complaining lately that she had to put some real muscle into it just to prick Hanako-san’s butt. I started to think Hanako-san only learned this skill because Sheena-san wouldn’t stop stabbing her. The fact that it was a passive “always-on” skill practically confirmed it. Even Sheena-san admitted that a normal Orc General shouldn’t be this hard.
Given how often Leticia-chan had to Heal her, I bet she’d learn an auto-regeneration skill at the next Rank Up.
To be honest, if she keeps going in this direction, I’m going to be forced to use her as the party’s Main Tank.
I really, really don’t want to.
While I was mulling over my misfortune, the rest of the Orcs were wiped out. Leticia-chan’s Light Arrow and Hanako-san’s Provocation had definitely made these village sieges a breeze.
So far, we’d found two Admission Passes. Will we end up with two, just like the first loop? Or will the RNG gods smile on us and drop a third?
Time to go see what’s in the final treasure chest.

Summary:
Takeda suffers a mental breakdown after successfully defeating an 8th-floor Guardian, revealing the psychological toll of managing a jealous yandere slave and a soulless doll. Meanwhile, Sanada Yakumo tests Hanako’s new ‘Provocation’ skill on the 13th floor, turning a dangerous Orc raid into a trivial mop-up operation.
Yakumo’s party clears the eighth village using newly acquired magic and equipment. Leticia masters Light Arrow and a magic rod, while Hanako evolves into an Orc General with a unique, pink-tinted ‘Taunt’ skill. The chapter ends with the party preparing to open the final treasure chest to see if they’ve beaten the drop rate of the first loop.
—
Trivia:
- Takeda is a rearguard mage but delivered the killing blow to the Hobgoblin in a frenzy.
- The ‘Soul-less Doll’ Irina has no ego, but her presence triggers Sugita’s yandere tendencies.
- Takeda is saving for a ‘Beautification Potion’ to resolve the ‘material error’ (Sugita’s personality/appearance).
- Hanako’s evolution into an Orc Woman General significantly increased her physical size and utility.
- The ‘ssu’ particle used by Sonoda indicates a specific casual/subordinate speech register.
- Leticia is only 13 years old.
- Light Arrow is a rare drop that can penetrate the user’s own Light Shield.
- Hanako’s ‘Stoutness’ skill might be a result of Sheena’s constant butt-stabbing.
- Lucy has reached 170cm in height after her evolution.
- The party is currently on their ‘second loop’ of this world/game

Character Insight:
Takeda’s descent into madness highlights the dark reality of the slave system, where even a ‘dream harem’ can become a living nightmare. Hanako’s evolution shows the transition of monsters from threats to highly specialized, almost s*xualized tools for the protagonist.
Leticia is rapidly losing her innocence and becoming a highly efficient combatant. Hanako’s growth is tied to her delusions of being a ‘s*x symbol,’ which ironically makes her a better tank because it triggers a more effective taunt.
—
Behind the Scenes:
The author leans heavily into ‘isekai tropes’ and gaming terminology like ‘bricked build’ and ‘material selection’ to dehumanize the stakes while increasing the comedy-tragedy balance.
The author uses ‘Pink Taunt’ as a parody of succubus tropes in RPGs, subverting the typical ‘intimidating’ tank role with a comedic ‘disgusting’ one.
