Chapter 58 Leveling Again
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Since then, my wives pounced on me every single night.
That’s right. Everyone took the lead in attacking me, decided they didn’t need to feel guilty toward the girls who hadn’t “done it” yet. Even Yui went so far as to consult with the others on the best way to mount an offensive before she made her move.
While enjoying that kind of steamy honeymoon life with my wives, I also spent my days pouring effort into the village’s development.
I drew up the master plans, leaving the area around the central plaza as a future commercial district while building a ton of single-family homes in the residential zone.
They were the kind of detached houses you’d see in a typical Japanese neighborhood.
I created a few different floor plans and lined them up in a random pattern.
The interiors were fully decked out with everything from furniture to cooking utensils. It was easy to just dump the necessary materials into the “Processing”¹ tab and crank out duplicates. It barely dented my Mana pool, so honestly, drawing the blueprints took more time than the actual building.
Along the way, I decided I wanted to install running water. It took a while to create the septic tanks, storage vats, and the Magic Tools for the pumps, but the water and sewage lines were finished without a hitch. Now, every household has indoor plumbing.
The water comes from the river. Because of that, the river flow has completely stopped at the purification site, but it’ll probably start overflowing again soon.
I’d planned to divert the overflow into a hollow anyway to buy some time, so it worked out perfectly.
I also finished replacing all the soil. While I was at it, I planted dozens of varieties of food crops around the perimeter of the village.
I left the actual management of the fields to the others, so that part of the job was over in a flash.
For the roads, I went with a Japanese style and paved them all with asphalt.
I even goofed around and made legit road signs like “Central Plaza Ahead,” just like you’d see back home.
Right now, I’m working on manufacturing machinery.
This is the real headache.
I’m making all sorts of things-lathes, grinders, presses, coating machines, looms-but it’s still not enough to maintain the standard of living I’ve introduced, even at a basic level.
I honestly feel like there’s no end in sight.
Still, I’m building equipment one by one in the newly constructed factories and running test lines.
It’s actually pretty fun since I can jump straight to the finished product, but the sheer effort required to get a single production line up and running is exhausting.
I could keep grinding away at that, but there was a bigger issue.
”Hmm, maybe I was being too optimistic,” I muttered to myself.
”The mechanical stuff is one thing, but I can’t explain the Magic Tool components… In fact, if we’re talking about efficiency, it’s going to be impossible for them to make exact copies.”
See, I wanted to build the prototypes first and then have them research how to build the machines themselves…
But even if they get the circuitry, I have no idea how to teach them to replicate the Magic Tools that act as the power source.
Exactly. I can’t explain the logic behind the Magic Tools I make with my Skill.
On top of that, I’ve been using Synthesis to rank them up and boost their efficiency, so even with constant research, it’s going to be a steep hill to climb.
It’ll probably be a few hundred years before they can make anything even remotely close to this.
”Speaking of Magic Tools, the Kobito-zoku”² are the experts… should we try recruiting some?” Reki-chan asked, tilting her head.
”No, for now, I’ll just manufacture about a few hundred years’ worth of stock, so we can put that on the back burner. We’re still way too short-handed as it is,” I replied.
When I told her that, she looked at me in pure shock. “A few hundred years!?” Reki-chan exclaimed.
Well, I don’t know if they’ll actually last that long, but they’re basically like ore. If I store them in a basement or something, they should be fine.
”Yeah. For now, let’s just build what we can,” I said, turning back to the Wing-kin girls.
”Umm, so we just need to operate the machines like you taught us?” Keira asked.
”No, the first priority is learning to replicate the machinery. As long as I’m here, I can make as many as we need. I don’t want to be the one doing this forever, so I want you guys to reach a point where you can build the machines for whatever products you decide you want to make,” I explained.
Exactly. I’ve already got the warehouse stacked with goods that have a long shelf life.
The fields we started-the ones that don’t rely on my Skills-are doing great and look like they’re about to bear fruit. For the time being, we don’t have to worry about food, clothing, or shelter.
”I see. I think I finally understand what you’re getting at. This is insane, though. These machines… they can churn out work with the precision of a master Dwarf,” one of the girls said.
”But isn’t it impossible? Something this sophisticated… I wouldn’t even know where to start…” another added.
The other Wing-kin girls were starting to get comfortable enough to speak their minds, and they all started chiming in with their own takes.
”By the way, it’s totally fine to commission the Dwarfs to build the hardware, okay?” I told them. “You guys just need to understand the mechanics and be able to draw the blueprints. What matters is having an environment where you can produce what you need, when you need it.”
I want them to be able to create things without me holding their hands.
Once they start making things on their own, they might even come up with new stuff that I never would have thought of.
Obviously, that’s a long way off, but if the world gets better ten or twenty years down the line, it’s worth the effort.
I told them I didn’t care at all if they used Dwarven labor to get it done.
”That does seem like the fastest way… If we tried to handle everything from smelting the iron to final assembly, we’d run out of time no matter how much we had,” Reki said.
”Right? Anyway, I’ll handle the power source side of things, so I’m leaving the mechanical analysis to you girls,” I replied.
As I said that, they nodded, having accepted their task. They began checking the movements of the machines one by one, confirming the mechanics and sketching out diagrams.
Satisfied that they’d get there eventually, I left them to it and headed out of the factory.
I hopped on the motorcycle I built for myself and blasted down the main thoroughfare.
Eventually, I reached the castle I’d built at the very back of the settlement.
Yep. My very own castle.
To be honest, the whole place has basically become a Japanese-style town, so from the outside, it looks a bit like a theme park. But since everything from the outer walls to the keep is massive, it still manages to command some respect.
I rode past the castle and parked the bike at the grand mansion right behind it.
In my mind, this is the Inner Palace.
Simply put, it’s our love nest.
I pulled into the garage, and as soon as I stepped out, the entrance flew open and Charlotte’s voice rang out. “Welcome home! ♡”
”I’m back,” I said as I walked in. Lotte scampered over and threw her arms around my waist.
”Is work all done for today?” Lotte asked, looking up at me with a beaming smile while still clinging to me.
”No, I’m going to pick up Lisha now, so I’m not quite finished. But I’m done at the factory for the day,” I said.
”Oh, I want to go too!” Meena chirped as she came over.
I gave her a “Sure,” and then everyone else started shouting “Me too! Me too!” so we decided to fly to the Kingdom of Paul as a group.
I’d built a landing pad inside the castle, so we took off into the sky smoothly. Once we were high up, Erina spoke up.
”Ibuki-sama, are you still planning to stay away from the human territories?” Erina asked.
”Yeah, I wonder. I figured I’d wait and see how things shake out with the Elves first, but we’re going to have to deal with them eventually anyway…” I replied.
As I turned to look at her, Erina gave a graceful smile. “In that case, it will soon be our turn to shine, won’t it? desuwa”³
Olivia nodded to Erina. “Understood. We’ll be deploying as the Knight Order again, then.”
”I mean, I’d appreciate the help if you’re up for it, but are you sure?” I asked.
I told them they were welcome to come with me, but Olivia just smiled. “Ibuki-sama, you’ve been working far too hard as it is. Please, allow us to handle at least this much,” Olivia said.
”Alright. Then I’ll leave it to whoever feels like going. You guys can make it back here on your own whenever you want now, anyway,” I said.
”Yes. Thanks to you, we don’t feel anxious even when we’re apart. Though… we do still get lonely…” Olivia added.
Olivia snuggled up to me, and we shared a little moment.
Ever since we started having s*x every day, the younger-looking girls stopped complaining about how “unfair” it was, so things have been pretty peaceful.
”Um, Rosanna-san… can I come along this time?” Maria asked, which was unusual for her.
”Sure, but is there a reason?” Rosanna asked.
”No… I just want to be of use to Ibuki-sama. Before, I was too scared to even stand up front… but I’m okay now,” Maria replied.
Luna was looking around at that, so when I told her she could do whatever she wanted, she volunteered too.
”Is that okay? Everyone is going to be gone…” Yui asked, searching my face.
”I mean, even if you’re ‘gone,’ it’s only for a few days. We can see each other whenever. And even if something happened, I’d use my Sensing ability to find you no matter what. If there’s something you want to do, I’d rather you do it than hold back and regret it,” I told her.
”Wow… my husband is so cool! ♡” Yui squealed, hugging me from the back seat.
”Damn straight. Oh, but Yui, you’re not allowed to go yet. I’ve got a special job for you this time,” I said.
”Eh!? Me!? What is it!?” Yui asked.
She looked totally shocked, but we’d already reached the town in the Kingdom of Paul, so the conversation got cut short.
We landed a few kilometers outside of town and finished our talk while we walked.
”I can’t leave you alone if you don’t get stronger too, Yui. It makes me too worried. So, I want you to come with me for some leveling,” I explained.
”Eh… am I really going to be okay doing that?” Yui asked.
Everyone laughed as they watched Yui get all timid.
”I want to tell her… but part of me wants to see her face when she finds out…” Shuri said.
The others all nodded in agreement. I thought that sounded like more fun too, so I stayed quiet. I couldn’t help but let a grin slip, knowing we were all on the same page.
”Hey! Ibuki-kun!?” Yui cried.
”What…” I said.
”Was I not being trusted? I was so worried…” Yui said.
”Don’t be stupid. We’ve wanted each other plenty, heart and soul-and body. I probably should have brought you along sooner, but I’ve just been slammed with work,” I replied.
”Hmph… I still get anxious, you know,” Yui said, pouting at me.
”I know, I know,” I said, taking her hand as we walked toward Sha-sha’s place.
When we arrived, Lisha practically tackled me. While enjoying the sensation of her massive, massive breasts, I asked how the preparations were going.
”Of course, everything is perfectly ready~! Please, let me show you the way~,” Lisha said.
We hopped into Sha-sha’s carriage and headed back out of town. She led us to a fenced-in pasture. Inside, there were all kinds of livestock-cows, pigs, you name it.
”Whoa… you managed to buy this many?” I asked.
”Yes~. I even had some brought in from our branch offices,” Lisha replied.
”That’s a huge help. I’ve gotta make a reward for you for working so hard, Lisha. I’ll decide on something soon, so look forward to it,” I said.
”Oh my~, you really don’t have to~?” Lisha said, though her eyes were practically sparkling with anticipation.
”No, I want to. I want to show my appreciation,” I said.
”Ye-Yes~! ♡” Lisha squeaked.
Once she replied, the other girls-except for Lisha, Charlotte, Shirley, and Yui-lined up in formation.
”Ibuki-sama, as of this moment, we are commencing our duties as the Knight Order,” Erina announced.
”I-I’m gonna do my best too!” Maria shouted.
”Yeah, yeah. I’ll have a reward waiting for you,” I said.
”N-No! I just want to prove I can be useful!” Maria insisted.
I kissed the flustered Maria on her forehead. “There, there. I guess I’ll have to give you plenty of praise then,” I said.
”Ye-yeah. I’ll do my best,” she replied, finally regaining her composure.
”Is Amelia heading that way too this time?” I asked.
”Master was strong in a way that surpassed my wildest expectations,” Amelia said. “If that’s the case, my job is over here.”
”Everyone is needed on both sides, but it’s a huge help,” I said.
As they spoke, the work of loading the improved livestock⁴ onto the airliner finished. After a brief parting, they returned to their country. Once they landed outside, I had someone call for Isaac.
”Ibuki-sama, what happened?” Isaac asked as he flew toward them. When I explained that I had brought livestock, Isaac started hopping with excitement. “I-is that so! We can finally raise livestock here as well! I will have preparations made immediately!”
Isaac started to take off, but I held him back.
”Whoa, hold on. I’ll build the facilities myself,” I said. “I want to leave all the caretaking to you after that. I’ll step in if a problem pops up, but otherwise, can I leave it all in your hands?”
”O-of course! Please, leave it to me!” Isaac shouted.
I gave a wry smile as Isaac knelt grandiosely. I used my skills to create fences and sheds, diverting a small amount of river water into the enclosures and planting trees to make the area lush with greenery. Once the finishing touches were done, I released the livestock by species.
”Alright, I guess that’s the bare minimum sorted for now,” I muttered.
As he looked over the fields and livestock sheds, Charlotte tilted her head. “This… is the bare minimum?”
”Yui, it’s still not enough, right?” I asked.
”No, Ibuki-kun, I think asking for anything more than this in this world is just impossible,” Yui replied.
”Really? We’ve made it this far. Surely we can go further?”
”That might be true, but… we don’t have enough people, do we?”
It was true. They only had about fifteen hundred people. Since I had built everything myself and kept them focused on research, they had enough hands for now, but once the facilities were fully operational, they would hit a wall.
”Well, we’ll figure it out soon enough. Right, Isaac?” I asked. A rare smirk played on Isaac’s lips.
”Of course. Once word gets out about a paradise like this, everyone will want to live here,” Isaac said.
”Ah, so that’s what you meant when you said you’d accept applicants from elsewhere, Ibuki-kun,” Yui said.
”I wanted to welcome my friends, sure, but development requires manpower, too,” I explained.
Isaac spoke up again. “If it is necessary, we could extend our working hours to handle it ourselves?”
I turned him down. “What we need right now isn’t a sprint, it’s endurance. I have no intention of making you all suffer forever, so we’re going to need more help either way. Just keep doing what you’re doing.”
”But, after you’ve done so much for us, it’s frustrating that we can’t be of more use…” Isaac said dejectedly.
”I understand,” Shirley chimed in.
”No, I get it! But Isaac, tell me that again in ten years,” I said. “By then, I’ll have raised everyone here into elite talents.”
”Do you think we can really be of help to Ibuki-sama…?” Isaac asked.
”I’ll train you until you are. If you aren’t, that’s on me. Just believe in me and follow my lead,” I said.
”Y-yes!” Isaac shouted, his energy returning.
I decided then that Isaac was trustworthy enough to take along for leveling. If Isaac kept the group together, there was little chance of the Wing-kin defecting. Plus, I wanted to train a few people so my wives can have the freedom to leave the area whenever they want. I had Keira and Saria called over.
”Listen, if you two have the drive, I’m thinking of granting you the strength to protect this country… but will you swear to devote yourselves to its safety?” I asked.
”Of course we will! But… how do you ‘grant’ power?” Saria asked, looking uneasy.
”You’ll have to see it to believe it. Even if I explained it, you probably wouldn’t get it,” I said.
Actually, “understand but not be able to accept it” was more accurate. Everyone else had been left speechless by his methods.
”I-I understand… Then I give you my oath. Please proceed,” Saria said.
Keira echoed the oath, and they moved to the site.
”Oh, should we invite Senior while we’re at it?” I asked.
”I don’t think that’s necessary,” Yui said. “Yamada-kun’s growth speed is already basically a cheat⁵, isn’t it?”
”Wait, really? Even at that level?” I asked. Yamada-kun had seemed much weaker than I expected.
”Yeah… it’s not that he was slacking, he was just terrified and stubbornly refused to go anywhere but the low-level floors,” Yui explained. “Well, I’m one to talk, I guess…”
Once he was Enslaved and forced into the appropriate floors, he had caught up to the country’s top-tier fighters in a single month. Yui said if he actually got motivated, he’d catch up in no time. I decided to pass on him. I didn’t want Senior getting stronger than me, anyway.
They moved to the training ground, and I activated the traps. The ground was crawling with monsters I had gathered from the sky.
”Hey… this is too much… My legs… I feel like I can’t move my legs,” Yui said, trembling and clutching his shirt.
”Ibuki-sama, perhaps we should start with just one to see how they fare,” Shirley suggested. “The rapid level increase will likely be grueling.”
I pulled them back with Cocoon. When a single monster landed on the plate, I flicked the trap, dropping and crushing it instantly.
Keira and Saria let out a gut-wrenching scream—”Aaaagh!”—and began clawing at their skin. Isaac collapsed, and Yui hunched over in agony.
”It’s Level-up Fever⁶! It’s going to hurt, but it’ll pass soon! Just hang on!” I shouted.
”I-Ibuki-kun! This is bad! My body… I’m burning up!!” Yui screamed.
”S-sorry! I should have eased you in. But it’ll be over soon!”
”When is ‘soon’!?” Yui shrieked.
I cast healing on her, then on the other three. Before long, the fever broke.
”Uh, sorry about that… I didn’t realize it would be that intense,” I said.
”Geez… I thought I was actually going to die…” Yui said, her voice shaking.
I pulled the tearful Yui into a hug. I felt a wave of relief as she hugged me back. I explained the trap system to the four of them.
”The next one should just feel a bit hot…” I said as I continued.
I dropped them one by one, then eventually started dropping them in heaps, squashing them like flies.
”A-ahaha… Monsters that leveled up an insane amount from just one kill are being crushed like trash…” Yui’s voice was hollow with exasperation. Isaac and the others just stared, shell-shocked.
Shirley stood them up. “Since you are adjusted, let us begin the actual training.”
I produced dulled training swords. Shirley began the sparring session. Keira and Saria were soon zipping through the air.
”W-what is this!? This is incredible!” Keira shouted.
”Hey, at this rate, crossing the mountains will be a piece of cake!” Saria added.
Isaac was just hopping in place with a dazed expression.
”Don’t think you can just hide in the sky!” Shirley shouted, wall-kicking toward them.
”W-wait! We weren’t hiding!” Saria cried out.
Charlotte and Lisha called out for Shirley to go easy. Lisha had even cried during her own training.
”No whining,” Shirley said. “Even Charlotte-san, a mere farmer, kept at it until the end!”
The three of them flipped a switch and began trading blows with Shirley in earnest. Yui, however, was still struggling.
”Yui, you don’t have to push yourself,” I said. “You only need to work as hard as you want to.”
”C-can you do this too, Ibuki-kun?”
”Hmm, well, I can… but my raw stats are so high that I don’t really have any technique.”
”So you can do it,” she muttered, and then Yui joined the fray for real.
We continued the leveling until the surrounding area was picked clean, then headed back to town.

Summary:
Ibuki completes the basic infrastructure for his village, including Japanese-style housing, asphalt roads, and a sewage system. He begins industrializing production by creating factories and training Wing-kin girls to manage the machinery. To ensure Yui’s safety, Ibuki prepares a large-scale ‘leveling’ exercise using livestock gathered by Lisha.
Ibuki returns to his territory with improved livestock and constructs advanced farming facilities using his skills. He initiates a high-speed leveling session for Isaac, Keira, Saria, and Yui using a monster-crushing trap. The process is physically agonizing for the recipients, inducing a ‘Level-up Fever’ that Ibuki mitigates through constant healing.
—
Trivia:
- The river was physically stopped by the new septic system, which Ibuki expects to overflow soon.
- Ibuki built a literal motorcycle to travel around the village.
- The ‘Inner Palace’ or ‘Love Nest’ is located directly behind the main castle.
- Ibuki uses ‘Synthesis’ to upgrade the rank and efficiency of Magic Tools, a process others cannot easily replicate.
- The ‘Knight Order’ consists of his wives/harem members who have combat capabilities.
- The population of Ibuki’s country is only about 1,500 people.
- Yamada-kun (Senior) was forced to level up after being Enslaved.
- Charlotte was originally just a farmer but is now combat-capable.
- The ‘Level-up Fever’ occurs when experience gain is too rapid for the body to process smoothly.
- Ibuki intentionally keeps his own strength higher than potential rivals like Senior
—
Character Insight:
Ibuki shows a strong desire for the village to be self-sufficient so he doesn’t have to be ‘hands-on’ forever. Maria shows significant character growth, transitioning from a fearful bystander to a motivated member of the expedition.
Ibuki shows a mix of benevolent leadership and calculated caution; he wants his people strong enough to be independent but ensures he remains the strongest to maintain control. Isaac’s loyalty is reaffirmed as he views the new territory as a literal paradise.
—
Behind the Scenes:
The author uses technical manufacturing terms (lathes, presses) to ground the protagonist’s overpowered crafting skill in real-world industrial logic.
The contrast between the ‘iyashikei’ (healing) farm building and the ‘hardcore’ power-leveling highlights the protagonist’s dual nature as a creator and a ‘cheat’ character.
