Just a heartbeat ago, Sasaki and Narumi had been frozen solid, dead before our eyes. Now, they stood there. Sasaki’s appearance hadn’t changed, but white wings-real ones-protruded from Narumi’s back.
”You’re… you’re alive…” Yamato Hina said.
I breathed a sigh of relief seeing them alive, but after a cold glance my way, Sasaki shifted his focus toward Medinilla. That’s right; the Demon King¹ was still there. Nothing was over. The crisis hadn’t passed.
”Sasaki, we have to work together to take her down,” I said, pushing myself up with my sword as a crutch.
”Back off. You’re in my way,” Sasaki said. “Actually, I’ll deal with you later.”
”What-!?”
”Should I spell it out for you? You’re a liability. You’re a nuisance just by existing. Well, you can’t get out of this room anyway, so just try not to die. I have zero intention of protecting you like I did before. Or what? You want to go a round with me before I finish Medinilla? I don’t mind either way,” Sasaki said.

As Narumi moved to heal Himezaki and the rest, an arctic chill capable of freezing the very air rushed forward. However, the frost shattered effortlessly before Narumi could even blink.
”Ho? You’re a lot different than you were before. But if the servant can do it, there’s no way the Master can’t. Well, those weaklings are barely worth it anyway. Since you’re alive, shall we pick up where we left off?” Medinilla asked.
